and i can see how "sim" people are upset because they actually care about how many teams the cpu wins on the raod and why the cpu has so many rookies in the draft. If 2k advertised this then yes they should be mad...But im just not agreeing with the "its completely broken statement". as there are people that would agree with me

The reason we're mad about the draft is becomes rookies come in rated too highly, which then makes teams stock up on generated players, thus eliminating there need to trade or sign FA's..

I don't think anyone is going to be convinced to see if from the other person's perspective so can we just all agree to disagree and go on about our business. I agree thats its not broken, but dont come in here and judge people who are trying to help fix issue...

And tell people that it doesnt matter becuase it doesnt matter to YOU, just like you like gameplay (and not using sliders) people are passionate about this mode and the ability to manage a team in a REAL NBA environment especially when it was advertise as the "Best Franchise Mode Ever"

I have in fact done a 30 team Association, in fact, a few pages back after becoming so frustrating trying to fix this mess, I gave in and i'm currently doing a 30 team association mode right now.

And ya know what, it's not fun for me, it takes away the unpredictability of the mode, i'm not a fan of it

Ok...well in that sense, I understand but not completely...All you're doing is making smart moves for the teams...I make the moves for the teams that I think a smart gm would make in real life....The reward is the fact that I know every team in the league is on a level playing field because I did my best to get them the best players to fit their team based on a number of factors.....When I play out my season, thats the reward, seeing how the new players play, seeing how the new teams do, seeing who wins the awards...I know you're tired of seeing Lebron win player of the week every week and the same guys always at the top of the league leaders........Actually controlling 30 teams makes the mode more DYNAMIC than anything you can do with just your team.....

Yeah you can make a big trade, or a huge free agent signing happen, but does it not become less stellar when you know it's pre determined by you?

The beauty of the NBA is that anything can happen when it comes to transactions, and that's all we want.

No because I know that even the cpu were making trades, the trades still would not make any sense which pisses me off more....

And plus it makes FA better to me because I can multiple teams bid on one FA....The FA still chooses who he wants to sign with if has multiple offers so its not predictable during the FA period...Now during the season obviously you're just signing FA's to a team as u wish....I sign FA's when a team loses a crucial player for a long time.....The CPU has never and will not do this even after the patch, I guarantee it....Thats my whole point, unless 2K gets trade logic and fa logic perfect which no game has ever come close, the better option will always be to just do it yourself....Sucks but thats not a lot to ask imo considering how great a package the game is....Yes 2K, EA, etc will always cheat us....I guess I get so mad at these conversations because I don't like to see people cheat themselves out of a good experience....

Feels like we're handicapping ourselves here with all these subtle workarounds to be honest

I mean, if a person is gonna do all that, why not just control all the teams? ^Thats defintely more work and sacrifice than I've been doing...lol

Yep, I feel the same way. I don't like to play shorter seasons since 2k actually has fatigue throughout the season.

That's the thing, the features do not work as advertised. You have to turn this off or do this. I understand making modifications to a game, I am a PC gamer also...so I do understand the whole "You should edit the game so it works for you." I get that but I'm into letting the CPU AI do their own work.

Also it can be done, 2k is close to getting the right franchise mode if they can get all these features working together they have a pretty good system in place.
