IT IS NOT BROKEN! Just don't be lazy and put a little work into it to make it work for you. You invested $65 in tyhe game, why not get ur moneys worth. It's way too good of a game overall to throw away just cuz a few issues in assocation that CAN be worked around with a little effort.Comment

It's broken, while not EXTREMELY broken, the problems it currently has, it's broken.
Iv'e done so much testing and tinkering, and it's just not worth the effort. More problems keep popping up, there's still no permanent fix to the no trades by the CPU problem, and yes while editing rookies does solve the FA bug, now that we know guys still progress no matter what, it's useless.
The HCA thing during the season still pisses me off to know end, we can do nothing about that. What about people that like to play with player morales on? To get varied minutes and things like that. It's ridiculous when you have the Lakers and Matt Barnes and Shannon Brown are upset because they're not starting.
Yes, this can be solved by turning player roles off, but come on.
It's broken until 2K can at least fix SOME of the problems.Comment

Well do what u will...I'm going to enjoy playing, and when a patch comes to fix the no trades after year 1 issue I'll get it, and won't have to restart my chise. I'll still use my own draft classes cuz I can make better ones, and it doesn't take much work to do.
The HCA I'm sure will be patched as well, along with the excessive blowouts at home in the playoffs. What WON'T be patched(more than likely) is the draft classes progressing too fast. I'm 2-9 with my Timberwolves so far, and lovin it! You keep playing Jordan mode or whatever it is ur playing then as u wait. I don't see a patch coming until after the season starts, leaning towards close to early november though.Comment

See man, this is where I must disagree with you.

Only REAL problem is the HCA and that is not even something thats game killing...
If Association mode is broken then so is gameplay becuz tendencies are way off...just like some of the things in association mode...
Tweaking things for association to work is really no diff than tweaking tendencies to maximize gameplay...
Yes 2k hype both up, but atleast they gave us tools to adjust unlike like most games.
everthing thats wrong has a logical reason
upset bench player- they are rated too high to begin with...
Trades- draft class fix this somewhat but every player in the default roster has high POT rating which equals high valued player across the board...Even SimBaller said POT has a hugh effect on trades and he then said "maybe too much"
Progression yes players progress no matter what but you still wont see a bench warming rookie get +5 in progression as you would see in a starting rookie.Last edited by Jukeman; 10-11-2010, 05:04 PM.Comment

... What in the?...
What are you talking about neither do I?
Myself and countless others have gone past year two and beyond. You think just because you play every game these problems won't happen for you?
Man, okay.Comment

Re: It would be a total Buzz kill if Association mode is as broken...
Regardless of whether or not you think this is broken or if it is as issue, the fact of the matter is that we shouldn't have to be doing this in the first place. We shouldn't have to play as all 30 teams or edit the draft classes to make FA/trades work. Tweaking the game on our end is fine but when we have to go to these extremes, that is when it becomes unacceptable.Comment
