That helps a ton...thats probably why the heat won 60+ games in my franchise and the Lakers won close to 60 and none of the records seem off....And the playoff thing as I stated earlier, I haven't seen AT ALL...

What up guys. Been meaning to jump into this discussion for a while now but I spent ALL of yesterday messing with draft classes and doing some research. I guess I will start with the good news. I posted some draft classes on 2K share that appear to be working well for some people so I'm happy about that. I actually tweaked a little more and have been getting even better results. The key is to have a John Wall or Evan Turner type player in there every now and then, but keeping the rest of the draft significantly lower than what 2K gives you. My initial problem was that I allowed too many 68 and 69 overall players to maintain that overall. Its cool to have a few but not too many as they can quickly jump to 80+ within a few years. Now that would be no problem if we just lowered their potential right? Wrong.
As Jukeman stated earlier, you can lower potential to 25 and the player will continue to rise as much as 3 or 4 points a year even without playing time. After doing more simulating then you can imagine, I think that this is the problem (I explained this in my Ten things you may not know about draft classes thread in the roster forum). When 2K gives you a draft class to edit, many of those scrubs have unusually high potential ratings. You can lower them all you want, but I think it is already hard coded to abide by the initial rating that 2K generated. I know its sounds stupid and far fetched but consider this:
I got a generated draft and targeted two players: A 71 small forward with 62 potential and a 59 shooting guard with 87 potential. So I raised the small forwards potential to 96 and lowered the shooting guards potential to 30. However after 4 years, the shooting guard had an overall of 74 and our small forward had a rating of a 79.
With a 30 potential, and no playing time for the first two years, that shooting guard should not have sniffed a 70 rating. My "96 potential" small forward got significant playing time and still only increased an average of 2 points per year with 96 freaking potential. I mean, I could be wrong but something doesn't seem right there. So what I have done to keep things balanced (and this is gonna sound like wayyy to much work) is simply look at each teams progression of players and simply decrease their overall if they did not perform or have the potential to warrant that respective amount of progression. Sigh.
And on top of that, I have come across an issue where the game freezes immediately following the preseason in 2017 if you attempt to consistently use your own loaded draft classes every year. The only way I was able to continue was to either use a 2K generated draft class or edit the draft class within the Association mode. This happened to me three times in three different Associations and the exact same spot each time. I hope for everyone elses sake that it is just my console or disc but I don't know man.

Actually most of these problems don't exist if you're not too lazy to control all 30 teams...People act like you have to make all the decisions for the cpu teams...YOU DON'T....You can set those options for the cpu to make their own decisions and leave the FA signings and the draft to the USER.....This allows you to change player's roles on other teams...Personally, I like the fact that players may get upset when u lower their minutes....Then I can decide whether to change their role, their minutes or to trade them to another team for another disgruntled player....It really doesn't take that much time to do this **** yall...Especially the guys who say they ONLY play association mode....Hell, even if 2K fixed those problems, its STILL better to control all 30 teams. A human will always make better decisions than the AI....So I can really make trades where both teams will benefit....For instance..Marcus Camby is obviously upset of lack of PT. Well he's on Portland with Aldridge, Oden, and Prizbilla...And they have the other dude at PF too, can't think of his name....So what I did is go through the rosters and find a players who's unhappy who also plays a position that Portland needs...Well they could use a SF as batum and webster aren't rated that highly so I traded Camby who's like a 74 in my assoc for hedo turkoglu...They needed a center and the Blazers got a good SF...Salary's don't have to match as you can just turn trade override on....That part might not be totally realistic but it helps be keep the game balanced....With me controlling the trades, I can take into account a players contract, how many years they have left, age, their worth to the team...I even may check a players recent stats before I trade them and the teams record. Even if a team really needs a player at a spot badly, I may not make any moves for that team if they're playing well....You can get really creative with the association....Its either that or keep bitching about problems that can be fixed...ALL of them can't be fixed but you can do something...and... BOOM goes the dynamite!Comment

@ Whomario. I didn't even try that but I plan on faking sick in a couple hours so I can leave work and go do some more research (I know its sad, but that's how much I love this freaking game. I got like 40 sick hours anyway so why not use em right). Ill try that as soon as I get home.
@ mosdef. There are three of my classes on 2K share. My gamertag is nsuplaya84. I don't have my final builds up there as I only put them up there so Juke could get a chance to look at them and let me know what he thought of them up to that point. Although they are not completely tweaked, they are in very good shape and are definitely way better than what 2K would give you. I think your missing the point of a lot of peoples posts on here, you might want to read over them. Many people myself included want to see what the cpu does in trades, and as far as b!tching well we just want the game to play the way it was advertised to play. at the very least it´s tedious and annoying. For starters i like to sim the first season completely and then start reshaping the roster, now that means i have to click 1148 time (1230 nba game minus 82 for your team).

I'm no where near cool with it, but after all the researching and testing that fixes nothing, i'm just burnt out.
I'm just disappointed with it, as excited as I was with this game, and for 2K to mess it up like this, I don't even know what to say anymore.
I'm just waiting for a patch, until then, I won't even be playing.Comment
