Thats basically all i am saying...nothing wrong if simming is your cup of tea but for many people that actually play the game its not Broken as many people in this thread have said

But that's where your wrong. We never said playing a game was broken, we said that the association mode might be. And what makes you think that just because we sim seasons, we dont play games. I play up 4-5 games everyday and Its been the best experience Ive ever had with a basketball game. The Association Mode is just full of glitches right now.

Get it out your head that just because we sim that we dont "actually play games".

On the other hand, what I would like to know is if the issues are not present within shorter associations (29, 58 games) ? ... while it may take from the whole experience, I might go that route until/if a patch is made to correct the issues.

I'm going to test it right now.

Before I simmed 3 seasons with my own tweaked roster:used nogster's as base with a lower potential scale for every player and lower overall expecially for young guns(wall 78,durant 85,rose 82,evans 80 etc...),player role,chemistry and injury on.
CSWapp draft classes for season 2 and 3.

I saw 7/8 trades in the second and third seasons(16 in the first) but no FA signed.

Just to let ya know Serra, my 4th, 5th and 6th draft classes are up and they are actually a little more detailed than the first three. I put a lot more work into assigning secondary positions or completely eliminating them all together. You guys might want to try those out. I will also go back over the first three draft classes and release a version 2.0 for each of those a little later today.

I, for one, always play with injuries off as the AI cant reasonable handle the rotations once one presents ... I also play with roles and chemestry on, as I too, happen to like those features.

First season 24/25 trades and a lot of FA signed,nothing new.

Second season...25 trades and 27 fa signed!!!
........less you play,more trades you gain???

Can't believe this thread is so long....I understand the complaints.....The reason I think its stupid to keep bitching about the trades is because AS SOON AS 2K MAKES THE CPU MAKE MORE TRADES, MOST OF THE TRADES WILL STILL BE ILLOGICAL AND MAKE NO SENSE.....Even if 2K makes this fix for FA's/trades, it will STILL be broken and you will STILL have to control all 30 teams to get realistic trades, fa signings and drafts....Just like we've had to do basically EVERY year since this option was available.....This goes for Madden, Live whatever, the trade logic is screwed up in pretty much EVERY sports game...

You guys really have that much confidence that 2K is gonna make the cpu gm's ultra smart? lol...come on now...I know u guys are smarter than that and have played sports games long enough to know its not gonna happen....

So some of us take the approach to do something about it ourselves NOW....Some people like to sit around and WAIT for an answer......Not me.....Some people take action and some wait for somebody else to take action....

Not to get all religious in here or anything, but Amen to that brother! I edited the draft class myself which fixes the FA problem. The no trades after year one? If I really want to see trades, I'll resign with my team, go to another, make a trade and go back to original team.

I've had people asking me if the game was actually broken due to the fact that they came here, skimmed through the thread and couldn't figure out wtf was going on...and that's beyond silly.

2k got the gameplay right and wrapped it up in one helluva package and that's all that matters. It's an excellent game, no matter how you look at it.

Go get a basketball managerial game if you're so concerned about effin CPU trades.

Same settings but 58 games:
first season 33 trades,second 17 and 14 trades in season 3.
In each season a really good numbers of FA signed.

So...is just the 82 games season that is bugged???

Iv'e said it before, and i'll say it again. If you want to play every single game, then play season mode.

There is no way some of us can get past year one, yet alone year two in Association mode while playing every single game. Some of us are very busy people who like our seasons to be 82 games, we want realistic stats and records so we don't play shortened seasons.

Furthermore, the reason we sim so much when the game is first dropped, is so we can see if there are any relevant problems once we actually do get past the first one or two years. Lo and behold, guess what I and countless others have encountered? Major problems.

You and the others who come in here and preach, "O man it's not broken if you play every game" all you want, but that theory in itself is flawed, just because you don't see them right away, the problems are still there, and you will encounter the problems once you somehow get far enough into the off-season and second season while playing every game.

Just because you don't notice or pay attention to the problems, doesn't mean they're not there. This thread has turned to crap because the people who play every single game come in here and talk junk, and then us people who are doing what we have to do to fix this are defending it. It's pointless, if you play every single game, go make a thread about how fun season mode is.

This is for people who like to experience the GM aspect of Association mode, building our own team through drafts, trades and free agency; and when these important elements are in fact, broken or not working properly, then yeah we're gonna be pissed.

So no, don't change the thread title, association is broken, no one can tell me different, iv'e done the research and so have other people. The problems are there, and when you and others encounter them don't come in this thread asking for help. Although I doubt you will encounter them since you will never make it past year 2 playing every single game, that is if you play sim 12 minute quarters.

So everyone, leave the drama out of this thread, this isn't a who plays games, who sims games thread, it's a thread for those of us who want an association mode that works.

And like I said, if you're so obsessed with playing every single game, you don't care about the GM aspect and off-season things, play season mode and leave us alone.

however i understand theor point as this is what they like to do with the game but i think maybe this isnt the game for them. To say association mode is completely broken is an obvious fals statement though

I have that now...and playing season mode i cant carry my players i may have traded for in the previous year over to the following season so no i dont want to play season mode...Thread should actually be based on asssociationmode is broke for those who sim becuase none of you have actually played through a season to comment on what happens after you do
