They need to adopt what Madden has done a few times with their Franchise Mode - the ability to hire retired players as coaches. Ex: Steve Nash retires, becomes an assistant coach for the Suns (or whoever wants to hire him). Just put the players with the highest basketball I.Q ratings into a pool of available coaches. This would mean that the coaching carousel will never get old, whether you spend 1 season or 20 in association mode.

Also, either improve or get rid of the rumor mill because what it currently is is useless.

A weekly (or monthly) update show would be a welcome change as well. It wouldn't be terribly difficult to implement, either. The most tedious part is simply getting the commentator to record new lines. They already have the necessary statistics compiled.

i would also like to see coaches have an ACTUAL effect on franchises in terms of adding points to players progression or awareness ratings after being coached by coaches that have certain talents... we cant get association info soon enough... only mode i play

Maybe they can do it like in Top Spin 4, where you hire coaches of different styles and you have a list of things to accomplished for him (like say maybe 10,20 team assists per game or something), after doing so, you'll get additional moves/extra skill points according to his style.

By having this, your players will have extra points according to the coach's style, and us as the game player we will play more like the coach's style to keep the accomplishments for the coach.

the funny thing is that most of what we are asking for in association for the NBA game was already in the COLLEGE HOOPS games & furthermore... they brought those college devs over to work on the pro game BUT/YET we still dont have those things?

having "coaching legacy mode" would also be very welcomed... along with all coaches NOT getting released after a year or two... there is always a mass exodus of all the top paid coaches & they always sign 1 year deals then get released again... VERY annoying! they never sign the top teir coaches tolong term contracts

I always have to revert back to the scouting and player development. I'm another guy who thinks ch2k8 was ahead of nba2k in this department. These additions need to be made.

1. 2K needs to add a playable training camp at the beginning of the associattion season. Just like real life workouts as well as bringing in undrafted rookies and free agents, they'll try to battle it out for a position. You'd basically be trying to get players bball IQs better, and building a team chemistry going over plays cuttings players who aren't fits.

2. During the season have meaningful practices, the current practice modes and development option should be scrapt for practices where you do what real nba teams do, go over the last game and improve. Rehabbing injured players working out late free agents signing etc.

3. In the nba.com there should be a section that has draft information like espn.com. Player threads, big board, draft stock, college and international stats, strengths, weaknesses, etc. on top of your teams prospect scout info.

4. Add the draft combine and Portsmouth with player interviews and measurements. Realer pre-draft workouts there is usually about 6 players going through various drills in a teams practice facility. Lottery picks usually workout alone.

5. International talent, there should be a euro camp (this really happens). Where you can watch and play with up and coming nba prospects, seeing whose got potential (its the euro combine). Also after your draft euros you should be able to have a option to keep them overseas. While you will be updated on their progress by your player scout.

6. Summer League. Better d league.

My thing is, whatever happens in the nba as a gm put it in the game.

I dont know why we are so ahead of everything in sports games when it comes to graphics , presentation , etc ..
but just about every great sports game doesn't have a great franchise . These things should be staples of association mode by now .
oh well , always next year like we always say . lol

That's not accurate. There's no d-league in My player but the d-league is still in the game. This has already been discussed.

I tweeted Ron about a offline association insight and now waiting for a response. It worries me that someone already tweeted him about it and his response was the ONLINE association insight will be next week. The person didn't ask him about online association. Kinda seems like there were really no upgrades. The nba greatest mode seems to be their main focus as far as game modes.

GREAT IDEA!!! I was thinking that a few days ago. I also miss the old days of earlier NBA 2K games where you could create your own coach. Having ex-players available as future coaches in the game would be a welcomed improvement!

Im hoping that they fix some stuff including AI logic and Sim logic and such. That way I dont have to work on Shooting tendency on all the players to get their stats as realistic as possible.

i would love to see Association have some common sense

-A player should be mad because hes not winning games

-A bench player should be happy because hes on a winning team (look at the player morale of sixth man of the year in association, they always have low morale)

-Small market teams should have a disadvantage. Money isn't enough to attract Chris Paul to minesota.

-Players should be more willing to take less money if it means they have a chance (I'm not saying that we can sign CP3 for 3million to the heat, but like a reasonable price of maybe 12mil)

-And a better distribution of wins. the first place team wins only 56 games (That amount of wins was like 3rd in the East in the NBA). The second place team wins maybe 52 games in association (that amount of wins was like 5th in the west this year in the nba) and last place team in association might only have like 57 losses (which is like 8 less than the last place team this year in the NBA)
