this is how the insight will go, They are going to say that we made it more realistic and nothing ground breaking will actually be made. Thats how it is every year. Seems like all they cared about was Legends

I get the vibe there will be a couple of tweaks here and there but online association will be considered the major upgrade to the association mode. Who knows though 2k may surprise us.

Online association, improved gameplay, create a legend, vastly improved my player, improved commentary doesn't tell to you otherwise?

Scouting

Should be more rewarding and immersive

-First of all, give us the option to use letter grade overall ratings in Association Mode (Choops has this)

-Add draft combine to the pre-draft workouts. (Draft combine can be use to get a feel for a player while unlocking more projected ratings, basically the same as the old pre-draft workouts but with a realistic atmosphere)

-Keep the existing pre-draft work out feature but limit it to just team work outs where you select 5 prospect to run a 5 v 5 against players on your team.

-Scouts should have a bigger impact on association mode. The better the scouts the more accurate a "projected rating" shall be. (actual ratings shouldn't be revealed until you sign the prospect) As you scout many players throughout the season, you should unlock limited ratings one by one with the more times you scout a player, the more accurate it is (of course poor scouts will have to spend more time with a prospect than a high rated one) We shouldn't be able to see most of a prospect's ratings until we play with them at the combine (of course projected draft stock will give you a idea of who "may" be the best guys in the upcoming draft)

-The Potential and OVR ratings should be hidden until the player is drafted.

-Add Summer League. It doesn't have to be a full blown schedule or anything, heck we can even skip it..Just add it there with a few games so we can test out player thats on our team and even spot some diamonds in the rough who went undrafted...Something similar to ABL in Choops..

Practice and in-season Training

-Should be integrated into one feature. As in previous NBA 2k's, Practice is pretty much irrelevant...There is no point in even using it, you would think that you would have to manage progressive fatigue within association but that feature doest do anything neither except have players jog/walk for 2 sec during a game....Take a book from Choops (again) and use the training system they had in place (don't feel like explaining it for the choops noobs) while integrating practice with it, basically we should have to manage practice time with training time during the season (also off days). Practice should continue to add bonus points to ratings (that actually matter this time) for the upcoming games while also managing fatigue (tired players = bad ratings and risk to injury, so off days should really be important) So with having to manage Game time, Practice time, Training time and Off time throughout a 82 game schedule, the off season is where we shall see drastic rating changes (via progression) because its basically no schedule to worry about...

A Few Key Notes To Piece Everything Together

-In season progression (training, production, Pot = progession)

-Coach ratings should determine how much of a rating boost you get from practice during the games

-Option to set everything to auto for the guys who are not really worried about this stuff

-Like MLB The Show's franchise, every event should be mapped out on a calendar (injuries should now carry on to the next year)

Everything I talked about is basically already in the game, it is just poorly implemented (well I shouldn't use "poorly" because the crew at 2k does a fantastic job with this game)...Lets tighten things up a bit!

Player evaluation(recruiting) in ch2k8 is what makes me play it to this day. If you played closed legacy your staff couldn't get by without solid scout grades. Yeah, you could land a four star PG, but if you didn't put the scouting time in over the year you were in trouble. He'd come in C potential, useless in certain skill areas, which hurt your game plan. You were better off sticking with your three star PG who fit your style, ultimately saving you a scholarship.

With that said, Jukemans and many other additions should be in the next association NO EXCUSES.

Also, does anyone still expect a insight?

If there are no association upgrades I will be extremely disappointed. I waited for a year for upgrades.
I really have seen no change in association the last couple years. 2k said they improved 2k11 association but after playing it for a while I really didn't notice anything other than instrasquad scimmages and slightly different developmental drills. Well not different but the way they awarded points.

i hope they fix the rotation minutes. that will make association significantly more realistic and a helluva lot more fun. i dont care if i have to manually set the minutes for each and every single active player (2k9 minutes attribute). it's so wack when the other team plays their worst players every single game lol.

Been a loyal 2K fan since 2K2, owned a bball game by them every year. It was usually College Hoops (if not both) because of the incredible Legacy mode. Obviously it's been NBA every year since CH2K8 and the death of that dynasty.

If they don't make Association mode worthwhile (2K11's is basically broken after year three or four) then for the first time in my life, I will not be buying this at midnight or any time close after that. If Association is exactly the same then this will probably be a Black Friday $40 purchase, at most.

I feel ya on this. I only play association and if there is no changes, I mean whats the point. I wonder if the lockout has anything to do with this?

I mean there is going to be a new collective barg. agreement, no rookies, etc... I wonder if 2K for seen this and just decided to not bother with it. Just speculation

It has been to long since they did some major revamps, I wonder if they know how many people play offline assoc...that is all I have done since playing 2K, I really dont care for online and it is overrated...but the online Assoc..will be interesting, but would rather play offline due to my busy schedule...THEY FRICKEN BETTER DO SOMETHING FOR ASSOC!!!

If there are no upgrades its ridiculous. Association always been there. They added my player, team up, crew games and now legends. I would have thought since association always been there we would have had a great association by now. They put a huge focus on other game modes but why neglect association.

Same as madden. Madden had the same crappy franchise for years. Ea would say we will focus on next year. They just dont care. I expect upgrades every year to franchise mode because I wait for a whole year for a better product. I spend $60 then realized the main mode I play is unchanged then have to wait another year then see there still are no big changes a year later. I'm hearing about all these other great upgrades but I only play association.

If no upgrades please fix team win/loss records, rotations, injuries, good players sitting in the fa pool and all stuff we got promised last year with the computer AI. I get tired of teams like Miami and Boston winning like 49 games and player stats going down cause they want to play with a sprain ankle. At least fix the basic stuff.
