well this is good news for me, i don't even play online so mainly i will play association mode , my player mode and other non-online modes, but can someone can tell me this, so you can't edit the legends teams age?

I'd like confirmation on this as well. From what I have seen from vids, it looks like we can't edit any players' ages this year. The edit player interface has each player's birthdate and year and that can't be edited, apparently.

So the concern there is, even if we get the legends into association, how do we keep them from retiring after the first year since they'd be like 50 years old or whatever the case may be.

I hope this is not the case. I'd like to be able to edit anyone's age, legend or current, just like previous years.

You can take legends into association. The limitation is you cant edit all the created guys on all the legends teams

Now I'm thinking you might can create players and put them in the free agent pool and then go into association made and release ans sign players as needed would that not work?

thanks for all your work and time again. I don't have the game but I'm pretty sure you will be able to put created players on FA list and then assign them to whatever teams since you have confirmed that you can trade players in association and season modes.

Just of curiosity do you know which notable star and bench players (besides Barkley and Toney) are missing from their respected classic teams?

Damn this is some bull****. All I wanted to do was have an all-time roster association, something I was able to do in 2k11, but now it's taken away this year? Really? With all these legends in the game, there would be alot of CAP slots to use this time. What a frickin bummer.

Looking at the list that 2k provided there are very few. I mostly look at the ones that had significant minutes.

I was planning on going down the list here to build up on who's missing.

Well unfortunately you cannot change their age like last year

While this is a small workaround hopefully 2k can patch being able to fully edit players because the lack of being able to fully edit players in what is causing the little problems

damn it i don't want players to retire quickly this sucks, mlb2k11 did this, this year where you could not edit the players age, hell even madden does this, why do they do this man. and if they have a patch for this i would not be able to get it because i do not have a xbox live account and i don't plan to get one soon. i guess i'll just skip sports video games for now on after this.

Is the export team bug fixed? Last year, there was a problem with "Franken-faces" when exporting some teams. The faces were messed up.

Ok I have been trying to work this out in my head and see if I could think of a work-around for people like myself who want to make/use classic rosters from a specific season. Let's say I wanted to make a 1995-96 roster/season. There will be 118 players included in the classic rosters that I would use for this roster.

If I start a season with classic teams replacing current ones, make trades so all the players I need will be on 10 teams (should be able to get to 150, 15 players on 10 teams) then export those teams.

Make all the CAPs I would need to fill out the missing player(hopefully still 250 CAP limit) then leave them as FA's.

Start a season with the 10 exported teams and all the CAPs on one roster, then within the season make all the trades and signings to have all the players on the correct teams.

Does this seem like something that would work? The end result would be a season file instead of a roster file but it seems like this should work, right?

Again this is all theory as I don't have 2k12 yet, but it may work for people who enjoy rosters for a single season.

Guess they dont want any more fans forced to be jumping over to the PC version where you have complete freedom to edit and do what you want lol

Thats only something a person with the game and probably one of the roster makers from the past couple of years or so could tell you

If it can be done I promise you those guys will figure it out

As for the generic players on the classic teams... could someone hex edit the player file and turn the player type into a CAP, and then edit them in game? It worked for 2k11.

Same thing for trading with legend teams. I'm not 100% positive on this, but if some hex edit the team type from "legend team" to "regular team", we might be able to trade.
