Well that's super news. I was under the impression we'd have to beat that team's particular challenge first before we had access to their editing screen.

You do but you can play like 1 min quarters on rookie just to unlock them. Then replay the game.

i hope the user on the other page finds a way to find out if you can edit the ages of the players. man i hope 2k fixes this but i doubt it, as seeing as this game coming out next tuesday is highly doubtful they can fix it before release. damn i hope you guys have fun playing it when they do fix, i'll just be stuck with it.

hey gmcrb28 just out of curiousity, how long did it take you to complete the greatest mode? I know you had it set to one minute quarters and to rookie to see if we would be able to edit, trade, assign and release legends to current teams and vice versa once all the teams were unlocked.

do you think it took out some of the fun for you that it could have had if you had played normally or did you want to unlock the teams ASAP regardless?

I think I want to do 1 minute quarters set to rookie on some or most of the greatest games so that I too can unlock the teams ASAP and start the tedious editing process but more so to play with all the teams too.

Takes a couple hours doing it with the 1 min on rookie (you also risk the chance of losing lol) but no it didnt because you can go back and replay the challenges whenever you want

I am looking at 2k11 classic rosters right now and it seems as if most teams only have about five players with the exception being some bulls teams that have 10-12 real players.

and we can't get rid of generic players unless we created the missing players put them in FA list and start a season or association and then assign them to their appropriate teams and then export that team right? So in essence we will then have two version of almosts the same team - the unedited say for example the 85 76ers with generic players and the exported 85 76ers without the generic players. I hate the generic players!

The good news is that most of the classic teams included in 2K12 go at least 9-10 players deep, hopefully meaning it'll be very rare when a generic player checks into the ball game. Even the teams that were included last year have been beefed up with more real players this year. For instance, the Bad Boys Pistons added John Salley, Mark Aguirre, Vinnie Johnson, Darryl Dawkins and Rick Mahorn (who wouldn't have been on the '90 version in 2K11 anyway).

It seems the early 70's matchups will be the most short staffed with each of those teams only having 8 players. Also, the '85 76ers team has just 7 players (the lowest amongst all teams) and the '98 Lakers also only have 8.

And your last paragraph seems to be about right, which is why I still have a funky feeling about this whole thing. But I'm willing to take what I can get. I just can't figure out why 2K would have regressed in this fashion.

Yea it's alot less generics. I think the 94-95 knicks might not have had any generics
