Well this year you CAN'T even edit age in association or any mode for that matter......and yes you could in 2k11 for legends outside of association you just couldn't see the actual number, but if you keep clicking it towards the lower age you'll see the years pro decrease

I totally agree with you. I too have planned out rosters and all this really puts a damper on my plans, esp. with the age editing restriction. It doesn't make any sense to hinder roster management in any way since it has been a 2K staple for however long, and since there are so many of us customers who love this aspect of the game. 2K has boasted giving more control to the players this year. Ironically, in giving us more control, they have limited our freedom.
I am going to be sending an email to [email protected], as well as a few tweets to @Ronnie2k and @2ksports, as someone in this thread has suggested, and I really hope others do the same. I'm hoping for a day one or week one patch for this. At the very least, they need to give us a quick patch to make player ages editable, since there is no workaround for that. The larger issue - the legends' immobility - needs to be patched as well, but I fear that may take more time.
Anyway, I think we should all try to make contact with 2K and request a fix for these issues.NBAComment

So I start a season to export a team but I don't know exactly how to go about this...
I'm planning on creating Sedale Threatt next then Nick the quickthey may not look like them 100% but with the new tools its passable. Plus with the create the jumper I was able to recreate Toney's unique jumper. I am loving this part of the game!

2.Start the Assoc. w/customize league option on
3.Put the 85-86 76ers in the Assoc.
4.Pick them up in the FA Pool.
5.They should be on your team.
If you want to export the team, do those steps in Season mode. Then start up Assoc. Only difference is they will not have the arena because they are an exported team. But doing it the 1st way will have their original arenaComment

Re: You CAN assign legends to current teams, HUGE FIND by gmcrb28
I think the root of the problem my be the NBA Greatest mode and that you have to unlock the teams by playing the game and winning.
Let's say I unlock all the teams in Greatest Mode and then make a classic roster of some sort and post it on 2k share. Someone else who hasn't played or beaten any of the Greatest mode can then download my roster and get access to the players unlocked in the Greatest mode. Also if I get the code for the 2 extra teams and use them in the rosters, someone else without the code gets those teams also.
I think the removal of the team management options(trade, release, etc.) from the classic teams is 2k's way of ensuring everyone plays the legends mode to unlock the teams and those who didn't get the code for the bonus teams can't get them.
That said once I unlock the teams I should be free to move those players around how I see fit. If I can't post that roster to 2k share that is fine, but why does it limit me from doing things on just my copy of the game."You come at the King, you best not miss..."Comment
