What is the general consensus for settings? Or what do you guys prefer to play on? I started out playing on pro/simulation, 12 minute quarters, and run plays on. It was fairly realistic at first, but now that I've had a couple of high scoring games, it feels like we can't win games unless I'm dropping 30+ points, 10+ rebounds, and 5+ assists. I'm thinking about trying to make the jump to all-star simulation but I've seen a few posts in here about plays being broken, extra bumping when moving around, and teammates playing worse.

I like where my teammates are playing now, but I'd prefer if I didn't have to be the best rookie since Wilt Chamberlain.

i play pro simulation, and on my PG i can score as little as 10 or 15 points along with 10+ assists and we still win. that may be because im on the Knicks and melo and amare get anywhere from 25-40 points each a game

I guess it's because I've only played with the team that drafted me (Portland, in my second year). So I've never had a team mate drop more than 20, Aldridge I think has a couple of times, but my team mates mostly play like idiots. Turn over the ball a lot and get blocked a ton as well, terrible defense. I seemingly have to do all the work like seawolves9 was saying.

Last Game made me angry so I just stopped caring and tried everything I could, I ended up with 15 Points, 4 Assists, 2 Steals, and 2 Blocks, but I had 5 turnovers and 5 reach in's (which are called way too frequently). We did however come back from around 18 points and ended up winning by 3...


EDIT : What do you guys usually do for steals? I have had 2+ in my last five games but I don't really have a sure fire way of getting them. They all come in different ways....

I see the same thing too. The opposing players routinely can just cross their way into the lane with ease, resulting in either an easy basket or a foul.

For steals, I usually bait the players into throwing a pass, then use my speed to close in on the ball. My speed and quickness are both 90+, so that definitely helps. But I feel like it gets pretty easy to notice what the computer is trying to do on certain plays, setting multiple screens to free up my matchup and such, so clearly they're trying to get him the ball, but they always throw the pass a little bit too late, allowing me to catch up and break on it. I average about 2.5 steals a game. Which is kind of absurd.

What do you guys do in blowouts? It's game 77 of the season vs. Bulls. We're No.2 seed in the East, secured a playoff spot, won our division. My MP is on his eay to an All-NBA berth in rookie season, 4th in MVP voting... 7th in scoring, and 3rd in assists. Hiw should I play? I'm shooting 60% this game, and have a 10-2-10 statline and it's 3 minutes until half.

All I'm trying to do is to get all my other team mates to score, especially melo and amar'e so us three can all be on All-NBA.

We're leading by 13 in 2Q and it's two blowouts in a row against Chicago.

Missed out on a chance of 20-20 game. I had 19-15 rebs at the beginning of 4th quarter, but ended up with 33-16. My player was very tired the 4th quarter and alot of people took my rebounds. i also had chances in 1st half for more rebs. We are 17-15. I am avg 17 pts and 10.3 rebs.
I got Dunk to 78. I need at least 3600 points in next game to get it to 80. Then Standing Dunk to 80. Then Shot Low Post, then Stamina, Off-Hand Dribble, and Ball Security maxed. I am not really focused on shooting ratings because I get most of my points from around 10 feet and my maxed Shoot in Traffic helps make tough shots.

What bug is that?

Where teams are ordered by alphabetically. So, every year 76ers, Bobcats, and Bucks pick top-3 and Wizards pick 30.
It hurts playing on certain teams because they will never get talent through draft or will always be good

what? i think reach ins dont get called enough. i get them once in a while on my player, but i only really try to steal passing lanes so i actually dont know much about on ball stealing in my player.

but online, wow, they never get called. you can sit there and jam "X"(or whatever the steal is on ps3 and pc) and hardly ever get reach in's. i mean everytime i play somebody they get like 25 steals on 5 min Q's, and only like 3 reach in fouls just because they jam steal like crazy

Ithink we are the dirtiest team in the NBA. We've injured so many players: Rondo, Rose, Deng, Nowitzki, Love...we've also given Ginobiki a broken hand.

I couldn't make the jump to AS level. The difficulty was a good challenge for My Player but my team's performance was just horrible! If you are a solid scorer you may enjoy moving up now.

But you may want to think about jumping after your Rookie season when all of your attributes are up. Also when you get to around game 35 the defense really starts to tighten up and attempts to exploit your weaknesses until the end of the season. If at the end you are averaging 40 plus per game, yeah, move up. The rumor is to skip AS and try the Superstar level.

No I didn't think of that, because it takes a while to get traded and no matter what happens I'll go through with it. Besides, I'm not going to play those same games over again considering I play on 12 minute quarters which take forever.

Speaking of Skiles, he was fired from our staff a while back ago, we're onto our third coach because we've been losing so much

I only chose teams that really needed a Center and went from the worst team in the East to the worst team in the West and I am SO HAPPY NOW!!!! In a matter of 7 games we have raised the Team Chemistry by 40 plus points!

The Kings are a real young team (no player is rated higher than 75) that RUNS the floor which I like and they have several guards that can bomb from 3 pt range.

We win as several players (starters & bench) score in double figures every night. Also they make it a point to get me the ball in the Post where my weak offensive player can actually score!!!! To make things even better when I go to help in the paint on D, someone actually rotates over so I don't get dinged for allowing an offensive rebound!!!!

Yeah, I am stoked playing for this team!!!

so yeah i single handily just beat the bulls in a game 7 and im on the Pistons, On to New York who also somehow is going on to round 2

O and can you have any influence on who your team signs in the off-season at any point of your career?

During contract negotiations, we should be able to ask for less money or years on our contracts.



And I wanted to sign to the NYK, I don't know why they weren't one of the teams interested in me, after I signed to DAL, I checked the NYK cap space, and they had $20mil, Melo signed with MIN, so they should've been one of the teams trying to get me

I'm on the NYK. Season froze, won the champIonship again, and in the offseason, the NYK wanted to sign me, n I happily accepted. Melo signed with TOR btw.
