Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread

My PF RARELY does jumpers. My points come from Post, Contact/interrupted Dunks/layups, and Free throw. I dont do jumper because I have low consistency, so I would miss a ton of shots. At most, I attempt 1-2.5 jumpers a game. Since I have maxed Shoot In Traffic and Shot Close/Inside at 90, I make a high % of my shots. I LOVE Post Spin. Especially, when I have a mismatch on a player. I dont even back down players. I just do the post spin and if I am able to beat the defender, there is a high % of a power dunk or FT chance I should try to back down players and then do the post spin. I once I get shot low post maxd, I should be able to make more post shots. Next, ability I will work on is Post Fadeaway to Good. I dont have a a career milestone that I can achieve this year. I dont think I can make All-Star. My numbers are better than alot of PFs. Hell, my numbers are better than Dirk's and he his on the list. My Buzz is around 80.

      GREAT PIC!!!

This OPERATION SPORTS thread will get you thru how to work the HP Media Zone:
      http://www.operationsports.com/forum...s-youtube.html

Now to get this to work; YOU MUST MATCH the email account you USED TO SETUP the NBA2k.com and the email account you USED TO SETUP your Youtube account!!!

IMHO, DO ALL OF THIS ON A PC do not attempt on the console!!!

The setup email accounts for both sites MUST BE THE SAME!!! I didn't setup Facebook but, I will just assume they must be a match also for you to send videos to Facebook.

All of this can be accomplished in nba2k.com; just go to your Account Settings (click on ur user name); and add your YouTube account then hit update!

Make sure when you ADD social account(s) to your Settings; you are LOGIN to YouTube/Facebook!

p.s. - if you never login TO: http://www.nba2k.com/login
except for on your console, you want to CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD first (the bad news this takes several days to get an email response). Once you get the 9-11 digit alphabet soup new password ; change this one to something you can remember. Then follow the instructions above and it will work.

YES AND IT DRIVES ME CRAZY!!! Those earlier numbers are better than every Center, except for Dwight Howard. I have the strange feeling that u need 10 pts better to do the same stuff!!!

But your earlier quote about getting the ANIMATION going is the key!!! I am sure we are missing a few opportunities BC of the stupid/erratic PASSING ANIMATION!!! I can't count the number of times I got thrown under the basket instead of having an EASY SLAM DOWN!!!

I have had 2 putbacks in maybe 86 actual games (lazy kiss off the glass/missed the other one)(w 2 different centers).

Putbacks, Yes trying to time them is extremely hard!!! With all the bumping and fighting to get there, we are just glad to get the OFF board much less trying to time the slam the bounce/putback!!!!

I think a HIGH OFF Awareness may help with us getting some more opportunities though. I am quite far from that point (80); but my PG (90) when he gets a pass/deflection close to the basket he is in perfect position AS THE ANIMATION makes for an easy layup/dunk.

My Center is a piece of work; he doesn't do ANYTHING offensively well! Of course the fact that POST bigmen have the added shooting attribute of Low Post Shot doesn't help either. My foul shooting is also ERRATIC and at (68) it should be pretty good (if we are comparing to the game's big men), another skill point frustration.

Oddly enough his FG% is around 55% despite the fact he routinely missed ONE FOOT SHOTS!!!! I mainly shoot from the LOW POST Block and to mix things up; from the top of the key and the corners from around 15 feet, Shot Medium is (65), Consistency (85) and he can hit them. Frankly, anything outside the paint I am trying to pass/pick/and roll to basket.

IMHO, low post men in this game is a Lunch Pale job. I have to work twice as hard to put up numbers as opposed to my PG!!!

We've been losing a lot here in Memphis. My next game is the Rookie Sophomore game and then the All Star game, followed by my first game against my old team - Milwaukee. Ought to be fun and then I'll finally create my new player (as a secondary only played for fun) so yeah, pretty excited

I SHOULD make the all star game with my stats, but looks like I might not make the list for Forwards. Only 1 PF in West that averages more points and only 1 player avg more rebounds, and I lead PFs in Blocks. I guess because I have dont have super high LPW.

Hey guys. Playing as a PG with Utah (6'1" scoring) averaging around 20 ppt and 4 ast a game.

The game has stopped being fun, on a 25 game losing streak where we lose by 20 every game no matter who we play. Memphis just dropped an 80% on me in the first quarter . . .

Does this game get more fun on better teams?

I hate how teammates handle the ball when it is under 10 secs with a 2 possession deficit. I just loss a game against LAL because after Fisher hit a clutch 3 to push it to 4 points, Arenas just ran down the clock and took a bad 3. Its funny that I didnt even notice Kobe had 47 against us. We had 5 guys over or at 10, then only had 2.
I got Shot low Post 79/80(depending on drills), I will max that. Then get FT to 85, then Stamina, Ball Security, and Off-Hand Dribble. My goal is to lower my shooting attempts. It is not because Im shooting bad or force alot of shots. It is because I attempt too many and dont get teammates more involved. Last few games I played, I had over 25 attempts. I dont want to shoot that much until I get onto my next team

is there any way to turn off the stat overlay during the game? I feel like I would play better/smarter if I didn't have a constant reminder of my stats while playing

Just got blown out by almost 30 against Rockets. If you seen my 30pt(50%) 11rb game(including 2 steals, and 2 blocks), it would have looked to be a good game. But, most of my points came in the 3rd quarter when they were up 40. I shot 3-9 in the 1st half and had 2rbs. I had 21pts and 8 rbs in the 3rd quarter alone. I was in foul trouble early and had plans on just fouling out. But, I got hot. I end with 24pts 9 rbs in the 2nd half. If I wasnt for the XP and being SO close to the All Star game, I would of just fouled out. But I was finally on the list, so I had to have a great game.

What difficulty are you playing? I tried All-Star as a Rookie w/my Center and lost 25 consecutive w the Bucks. IMHO the difficulty level and your ability to score really determines your team's success.

Getting blown out every game is NOT fun; but if you are playing on the "right" difficulty and you try to get better it gets to be real fun.

                            CENTER/ATH/KINGS/ROOKIE/OVR: 77

Kings (31-37): 4-4 on 8 game Homestand we may have blew it.

Just 14 games left; we are 3 games back for the last seed (8th) in the Western Conference. Not looking good we need at least a 6 game win streak to get to .500; our longest streak has been 4 gms.

Not sure if I like the Centerpiece status as of yet since I am the highest rated player on the team, more focused on how to help them get into the playoffs at the moment. But the game intro showcase is a kind of cool, something I never thought was possible w/my PG on the Knicks (all Melo or Stoud)

He is finally starting to consistently score but it maybe too little and too late. Dropping 20 plus of late but his season average is just (12.1 ppg)

I wish I would have taken a more aggressive approach (calling for the ball) a little earlier in the season to get more shots in the paint and on fastbreaks!!!

After simming it to All-Star weekend, I made it to Rookie/Soph game and I MADE the All-Star as a Reserve as 9th place. I didnt care about starting, I just wanted to make it. That was my goal of the year. I avg 18.6 ppg, 10.3 rebs, and 1.8 blocks a game. I nearly raised my ppg by 10, nearly doubled my rebs and blocks, and raised my FG% by 10%.
I got Shot Low Post to 91. After, the Rookie/Soph game and All Star game, I should have enough to max it. Then FT to 85. Then Ball Security, Stamina Off-Hand Security in that order, then strength to 90. By nearly maxing out Shot Low Post, it expands my offense. I can take more Post Hooks(have it at Good). Not, yet, but Once I get Post Fadeaway to Good and get Strength to 90 and learn to pumpfake more, my post game will be NASTY. After Stamina, Ball Security, Off-Hand Dribble, and Strength, I can afford it to save up for Post Fadeaway. I would have either maxed my most expensive ratings(besides Consistency) or have it at a high rating. It would probably take 3-5 games(depending on XP from games and rating subtractions) to save up for Post Hook. I want to add another dimension to my post game. Then Probably Post Defense and On-Ball D

My kryponite is monta elis to damn fast and quick. The damn sliding doesn't help neither.
you can't play him loose or tight due to fact he can score multiple ways. best way to play him is have him ride pine due to foul trouble.
Any tips on how to play elis. I can never keep him under 22 points. I can manage to keep kobe dwade or any other 22 points if i have a good game along with solid help d from teammates.
