Not really actually. I restarted my assoc and made the deal again But I sent Nash and Hill for Williams, Young, Vucevic (instead of Nocioni) and the '12 1st rd pick. So let's break this down. I traded Nash an upgrade at PG for them for their backup, Hill my starter for their backup SF, a backup PF and a #1... How again do they get a bad trade? They get better depth off their bench. If anything I got ripped off, but I like Lou Williams for the uptempo offense I run. Maybe If I stole Holiday and let's say Turner? I would agree but they are rolling out Nash, Meeks, Iggy, Brand, Hawes and off the bench, Holiday, Hill, Turner and Brackins. They're a better team.

Since I restarted the Assoc. I wanted to still shed cap of Warrick and Childress. I did the OKC trade again but instead of Cook, I got Jackson and Mohammed. I signed Aaron Brooks to be my backup (I wanted a quality #2 since Williams will just be an avg starter). Needing scoring I signed JR Smith as my SG. Not needing Telfair I released him and I flipped Ronnie Price to Nola for Xavier Henry.
I know 3 trades isn't super realistic but I feel I haven't made any super outrageous deals. Nash/Hill to philly is a stretch, agreed but I liked the players I was getting back. In my team's case after Nash. Signing Brooks and Smith is feasible. Having some cap room, i signed them to 1 year deals. Again feasible because if they play good, I can extend them during the year. Also If i get a high pick I can use that on either of their positions. Since I'm banking on Young, Morris and Gortat to be my front line for a couple of years (Unless I get Drummond or Davis in the Draft. Also Jackson is my future backup PG just not as a rook, Henry is my injury insurance and Redd is too for the year, Same with Mohammed). I also run a 2 line system like hockey. Starters play with starters and Bench with bench. Here is the breakdown.

    Pos/Starter/Bench/Warmer-Res.

    PG- Lou Williams/Aaron Brooks/Reggie Jackson
SG- JR Smith/ Shannon Brown/ Michael Redd
SF- Thad Young/ Jared Dudley/ Xavier Henry
PF- Channing Frye/ Markieff Morris/ Nikola Vucevic
    C- Marcin Gortat/Robin Lopez/Nazr Mohammed

Playing with Phoenix I love the uptempo system. I try to play tougher defense, but it's about getting up and down the court. I also play 10 min quarters with adjusted sliders. The only dip I have is rebounding and the shooting %'s are usually 47%-50% (a tad bit high for averages usually 43% to 47%) It's a sacrifice I've made to get realistic scores for 10 min quarters. I also sim 1/2 the games in the year and yes 82 game season.

My first game vs OKC I lost by 3. 98-95 on a Westbrook 3 with 1.5 seconds.

one last note: rebuilding Phoenix I'm kind of hoping for a top 5-7 pick so I can get one of the draft class' elite players (hopefully Barnes, Lamb or Kidd-Gilchrist the way I have built this team), but I am also hoping I can make the playoffs. I figure with 2 1st rounders during the draft maybe I can trade up.

Sorry for the long post but I had to defend the trade and I have to say use the Sim World rosters. they are great.

Has anyone here experienced the glitch where your rookies, in this case Klay Thompson and Jeremy Tyler for the Warriors, get black arms in association mode? Is this common or rare? Just wondering who else might have experienced this, and did it help to restart your Association and just pray it doesn't happen again?

Not really... he probably still has an out Hamilton in his rotation and letting the CPU play around it... would heavily bring down OVR.

Usually if the guy is hurt or out they take him out of the lineup... if the injuries like sprained ankles they stay in. Atleast that's been my experience this year

What camera angle do you guys play on? I like playing on the default broadcast camera but I think it would be easier to play on the 2K camera angle though it wouldn't feel as authentic.

2k cam has crazy lag when switching from end-to-end.

I play on the high camera angle. You get a good view of the entire half court.

Why would phi do it? Will they get a ring, hell no thats miami, LA, or OKC sorry. Nash/hill have one year maybeeeee two tops. PHoenix in real life only play nash like 25 min a game. You took away so much young talent from phi, i mean williams alone is too high. Do you know he is their leader in points this year? 15.7 a game. That mans ceiling is really high on that team. Not to mention the dude is improving a lot. Now, you add vucevic who is quickly becoming a starter for them and filling in nicely under hawes absence. When he started played 25min two times, and got 13 points 7 boards, not bad!

Now, lets not talk about young dudes got game too and also a high ceiling. He can easily grab sixth man of the year potential. Through this year, mans got 12.1 points per game, 4 rpg, and 1.35 steals. Think they would give all this up?? Now add to this they lose there first round pick. Come on man, if anything YOU should add your first round pick. YOu left them with a bunch of old washed up players. Brand, hill, nash, Iggy, and hawes. YOu can honestly tell me after all this information you made this team better? They are only left with two young people who have potential turner and holiday. Sorry man just dont see it. In 2k yeah maybe cause they are all messed up ratings.

Now lets discuss what you are giving him. Grant hill. I love this guy, great defender, but he doesnt have much left in him. This year he is only playing 18 min a game and only has 9.8 ppg. and 3 rpg and a few assists. He can not be a future star anymore, period, and wont lead a team to a ring. Phoenix is 7-12, see Phils record??

Now nash, you have to love him and respect him. He has as many years as he wants left. Though he is like hill though soo good, just wont guide a team to a championship, those days are passed. He provides leadership, and makes others better. He can do that in Phoenix, who can he make better in PHilly, just iggy really. The others are not high scorers. Nash plays sorry, 18 min per game, he just cant give Phoenix more with his legs and body. He is getting 14 ppg and 9.9 assists. Good! goo nashy go~! But just not worth all those young talents and a star.

you see what i am getting at? Look at the numbers.
