You took away so much young talent from phi, i mean williams alone is too high. Do you know he is their leader in points this year? 15.7 a game. That mans ceiling is really high on that team. Not to mention the dude is improving a lot. Now, you add vucevic who is quickly becoming a starter for them and filling in nicely under hawes absence. When he started played 25min two times, and got 13 points 7 boards, not bad!

Now, lets not talk about young dudes got game too and also a high ceiling. He can easily grab sixth man of the year potential. Through this year, mans got 12.1 points per game, 4 rpg, and 1.35 steals. Think they would give all this up?? Now add to this they lose there first round pick. Come on man, if anything YOU should add your first round pick. YOu left them with a bunch of old washed up players. Brand, hill, nash, Iggy, and hawes. YOu can honestly tell me after all this information you made this team better? They are only left with two young people who have potential turner and holiday. Sorry man just dont see it. In 2k yeah maybe cause they are all messed up ratings.

Now lets discuss what you are giving him. Grant hill. I love this guy, great defender, but he doesnt have much left in him. This year he is only playing 18 min a game and only has 9.8 ppg. and 3 rpg and a few assists. He can not be a future star anymore, period, and wont lead a team to a ring. Phoenix is 7-12, see Phils record??

Now nash, you have to love him and respect him. He has as many years as he wants left. Though he is like hill though soo good, just wont guide a team to a championship, those days are passed. He provides leadership, and makes others better. He can do that in Phoenix, who can he make better in PHilly, just iggy really. The others are not high scorers. Nash plays sorry, 18 min per game, he just cant give Phoenix more with his legs and body. He is getting 14 ppg and 9.9 assists. Good! goo nashy go~! But just not worth all those young talents and a star.

you see what i am getting at? Look at the numbers.
Nash is still an all nba pg. he leads the league in assists and is better scorer than Williams. And in Philly he'll have good help on defense. Plus they get one of the best 6th men in the league in hill. And you're giving up 3 bench players and late first rd pick to make Philly an actual contender. What team doesn't do that? Philly does that trade in a heartbeat

Most i am sure would disagree. The main thing is phily is trying to rebuild and giving up that much up coming talent is not a good decision. ANyways, you asked our opinion and we gave it, if you dont like it why post here, do it anyways, lol. Nothing seems to sway you, just look at the numbers.

actually at the end of your post you claimed nash plays 18 minutes a game. thats 13 minutes off.

Philly would keep their core together. Williams is 25, he's not gonna get way better. Holiday will, same with turner. Thad young is the big piece. Your telling me Philly wouldn't make a trade to become a contender to stay at best a 3 seed? Youre crazy. You claim I don't look at the numbers but when you only use minutes and not arbitrary one like points and assists you know where Nash is a clear upgrade over both guys, plus he has proven he's a leader and makes the team he's on better. I just find it laughable that you think Philly got shafted when they give up 3 bench players. Oh btw hill plays 27 mpg. Now you vucevic getting 13 and 7 in two games that he played 25 min in guess what it's replaceable. To win you give up a little in trades, but Philly is still deep and they become a better team with Nash. A team that could beat Chicago or Miami.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but to say Philly got taken is far from the truth.

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread

I'm in the second week of February in my 30-team association using the Knicks. I'm using the Sim-World roster with Yellz' sliders using real life rotations.

Currently on a 8 game losing steak and I am two weeks away from the trading deadline with the All-Star game. Currently 10th (20-31) in the conference but I'm within 2 games of 7th place and 1 game out of 8th.

            Melo stats: 26ppg, 7 rpg, 3 apg
            STAT stats : 23ppg, 8 rpg, 1.6bpg

Melo is currently 2nd in All-star voting for Forwards in the East behind Lebron and Amare is 3rd.

Right now, I'm trying to get the team together for a push to the playoffs. The team is obviously struggling especially on the offensive side late in games. Fields has 5ppg as a starter, Tyson 7ppg, Shump 10ppg, B.Diddy 10ppg, Walker 5ppg and Tony Douglas 7ppg.

            The Current Rotation:

            PG. Davis - 33 min
            SG. Fields - 30 min
            SF. Melo - 35 min
            PF. STAT - 33 min
            C. Chandler - 33 min
            6th. Shump - 23 min
            7th. Douglas - 22 min
            8th. Walker - 17 min
            9th. Jeffries - 15 min

The only trade I'm currently considering is acquiring point Luke Ridnour from the Timberwolves. I'm only willing on giving up Toney Douglas, Balkman, Bibby, Jerome Jordan and picks. Want to keep it as realistic as possible

how do you like the 30 team control? Do teams still offer up trades? I'm curious about starting one but it seems too time consuming,

If you want to keep rotations intact and CPU from making stupid trades, draft picks, and free agent signings then 30 team control is a must. I'm very happy with playing 30 team, trust me I hated the idea for a long time and recently bit the bullet and finally did it this year, I regret not doing it sooner.

Although some users turn injuries off for the sake of not having to always adjust rotations, I like to keep them on. If the player is able to play after a injury (highlighted in yellow), I keep them in the line up and keep rotations as is. I only change lineups if they're in red and only put them back in once they're fully healed. It great because the game takes note of telling you how severe the injury is so I won't have to waste time going back and forth in rotation screens.

As for trades and free agent signings, I like to go to RealGM or Bleacherreport in conjunction with discussing transactions with fellow OS'ers here. Bedwardsroy has a great 30-team thread and guide that makes handling everything much easier. If you like keeping association realistic then you will have fun rather than feel like its tedious.

so can you turn the trades for the other teams to have the cpu handle it then you can veto it basically? I want movement but I dont want to trade other teams' players and I want realistic FA movement. I dont want to see CP3 playing in Toronto after declining the PO. If the CPU will atleast offer me and each other trades I think I may do it.

If you turn Player Trading on in Association settings/options (I forgot which one) for all the teams, I believe you will see trades being offered and then you can give the final go ahead. Not sure though.

I was thinking about staring a association with the lakers. My Goal would be to make them younger and somehow maybe try and get Howard. Iv e played couPle games with Bynum in a fantasy draft league and he is a beast. They need some young talent on that team for sure. I would try and get rid of artest and maybe gasol if I can get a decent point guard or another small forward that is better than artest. Any suggestions or moves that you have done with the lakers [Reply]

Its been awhile since I posted on here about my Rockets association. After coming off a 6 game losing streak. My Rockets have won 10 str8 and is sitting in 8th place in the West with a record of 17-16. We are 2.5 games back in the division behind Dallas. Kevin Martin is leading the team in scoring with 20 PPG.

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread

Started a new association using both the Pistons and the Timberwolves. I chose the Pistons because they're my hometown state and I chose the T'wolves because I've always liked them and I like who they drafted this year.

I pawned off T. Prince, B. Gordon, R. Stuckey, C. Villenueva, and J. Jerebko from the Pistons. Grabbed a couple utility players and a couple draft picks.

I kept the Wolves roster in tact, but I moved Love to center, allowing Derrick Williams to start at power forward and taking out Milicic who I can't stand. Not to mention, Love creates mismatches with other centers a lot with his outside shooting ability.

I simm'd the regular season but I am playing all play off games for my teams. As expected my Pistons finished with the worst record in the league, but shockingly my Wolves sneaked into the play offs with the #4 seed. I swept the Spurs in the first round to meet the Mavericks in the 2nd. I dropped the first game 96-94, won the next 3, and dropped the 5th. Up 3 games to 2 at home, I really did not want to have to win this thing at Dallas.

I ended up jumping out to a 15-2 lead in the first and cruised to a surprisingly easy win, Dirk went 4 for 22 in shots as he couldn't hit anything. I won 112-73.

I'm considering doing a couple things this off season, I may move Derrick Williams to SF and bring Beasley up to PF, but IDK how Beasley will preform there. Williams grabs a lot of rebounds but he's under preforming in defense in the paint. I just re-signed Beasley so he'll for sure be coming back next season.

I'm also considering acquiring Al Jefferson with the Pistons somehow. I feel that I have enough draft picks to acquire him, and with Ben Wallace retiring, him and Greg Monroe would make a monster pair down low. I'll also have about 35 million in cap space for the Pistons this off season to acquire free agents if anyone useful comes out.

Oh yea, Derrick Williams won rookie of the year with 24ppg, 7rpg, and 5apg. Lebron won MVP, and somehow the Nets knocked the Heat out of the play offs.

I'm playing the Thunder in the WCF, and the Knicks or Nets will meet the Bulls in the East.

                              All30 Team Control-Association:

I am currently 41-36 with the Spurs with 5 games remaining, and fighting for the 5th seed with the Timberwolves. If I get the 5th seed, I play LAC instead of OKC....I have beat LAC twice and would prefer to play them.

Went "Wire-to-Wire" on the West-leading Mavs last night. Was a beautiful game where Tony Parker set the tone, and exploded for 19pts in the 1st Qtr....he would finish with 30, and I would beat the Mavs handedly by 109-83.
