      The ball was knocked off course then like a heat seeking missle it turned and went in anyway. LOL

        Tone it down online.

        I went 6/8 from 3 with Dantay Jones...4 of them were ISO motion off the dribble and 1 was a ISO gather step back and the other was in transition..

        The game is all around easier and take no skill thats why I see alot of people complain. On the other hand you have the noobs who were terrible in 11 loving the watered down shooting.

        This isn't the 2k I I've seen in the past..the 2k that changed bball gaming..get back to the foundation and stay true to user stick skills.. not casual

            That blocked shot change of direction 3 pointer was terrible to watch. So that was a predetermined 3 regardless of what the defender did.

              I can honestly see this coming up in testing. It most likely initially crashed the game every time a predetermined shot was blocked and didnt go in.

              Tester: Uh oh guys we have a game crash on these blocked shots.
              Coder: Hmmm well lets see....Ah the code had the ball going in and you blocked it after it left the shooters hand causing an error/crash. We can reprogram the timing on that which would take quite a lot of effort or we can just add some code so that on the rare occasion this happens the ball will just warp back on track and go in like it was meant to thus averting the crash.

              Brilliant!

              Id even go so far as to say they made the right stick contest so powerful and the jumping up so pointless just to discourage people so this would be even less likely to happen.

                Since you asked, my answer is that NO, 3-pt. does not need tuning. I remember last year people were upset with the Simulation sliders that had 3-pt. set @ 45; most people bumped that up to 48-50 for the User and 48-52 for the CPU.

                I think what is throwing things out of whack in some instances is that the Clutch slider is too high on the default setting; thus when the CPU is under diress or up against the shot clock, their "clutch" attribute kicks in, and the shot goes through the hoop. I lowered that slider down to 10 and I've noticed a nice difference in terms of CPU shooting. They hit open shots (as they should), but the contested, shot clock running out desperation heaves don't go in nearly as often as before.

                So, my personal opinion (and I know nothing about game coding or anything like that) is to look at the Clutch slider/attribute first. I think that may answer the 3-pt. issue.

                Obviously in the meantime, we can just lower that slider a few clicks and it should produce the results people are looking for.
                I was going to be quick to complain about the 3-point shooting but looking back at the times I've been frustrated in My Player, this could explain a lot of it. I'll notice the computer basically dribbling it out to 4 seconds left on the clock and then taking a last second and contested 3-pointer. This is the mind blowing and absolutely freaking frustrating part of the game. I can see where your belief that "clutch" is the problem, but since you can't adjust jack in My Player, the frustration will continue.

                  I don't think it is the clutch rating, as these are not 4th qtr shots and also are being made by plenty of scrubs with no clutch rating.

                  Mike, just play some "my player" games at allstar (even pro). I just played Orlando, and they hit 21 of 24 3 pt shots. These were not wide open. even if they were, ray allen can't shoot 60% on wide open 3's. it gets too silly and ruins the immersion for any real hoops fan.

                  poll the customers using modes without sliders, we are the ones who see this day in and day out and are frustrated by our inablity to correct it with any of the difficulty settings. association players do not feel as strongly because they are using customized settings so it is not an issue.

                  a compromise could be to lower the 3 pt% for ONLY the "sim" settings. so allstar-default would play the same, but allstar-sim would have more realistic 3 pt shooting.

                    I don't know about tuned down, but it should require a more precise release of the shot stick. I noticed multiple times playing the NBA greatest mode I was taking 3's with people I obviously never practiced/played with and was still hitting them pretty regularly, even when the timing was off from shot to shot. In that sense my problem isn't that too many go in but that it doesn't require as much practice to master someone's release.

                        I'm not proud to say I won a game on a heat seeking 3 with OJ Mayo.

                        Went to the replay after, turns out KD blocked the hell out of him but the ball was too resilient to care.

                        It was far worse than the one in that video too. This should have been slapped directly down into the hardwood type block, but it propelled forward anyway.

                          At times it does feel like your a damn GHOST DEFENSIVELY, all this BS about "ON BALL DEFENDERS" blah blah blah, even when you do defend yourself and DEFEND WELL, people online are still making 3's

                          again I think Online settings is going by SHOT STICK RELEASE and not Players Shooting %, so basically...right now...IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU DO DEFENSIVELY...if the release is good...THE SHOT IS GOING IN!

                                The problem with online is that it seams that shot release timing and spacing from defenders barely affects the outcome of shots. And its not only 3 pointers! I play a mainly mid range jumpshot style and I almost always make my jump shots no matter who the player is. And majority of the shots and ALL NET SWISHES. this is a huge problem in my opinion ... with that being said... when I play my friends unranked online we set difficulty to superstar SIMULATION ...simulation is the key.. and our game plays beautiful. You must focus on your release timing in order to make open shots. And you will see a greater variation of shots (rattle in.. etc)

                                Please at least change online ranked games to SIMULATION ..either all star or superstar and I promise you will see a difference.
