Leave the 3's the way they are offline and online. They only problem is that glitch where you block the shot or tip the ball while it is in the air and some how someway it makes it's way into the hoop.

Re: Does 3PT% need tuning?
Three points not broken.Block animation might be broken but not the three.
If people are that upset about the cpu making three then use the sliders but when you look at the final stats of the game everything equals out right. My blog: http://lazy-rainbow.blogspot.com/Comment

Re: Does 3PT% need tuning?
Yes. The three point shooting offline is ridiculous. The right amount of open three pointers go in, but it seems like the computer shoot the same with a and in their face or when they take a shot 5 feet behind the three. The most important thing is that contested threes must go down. And another thing, why are the mid range shot stats done for about every player, it makes the midrange game absolutely worthless. Gordon is a great shooter, yet has a 68 in mid range? What you smoking?

Re: Does 3PT% need tuning?
Momentum shots go in at a high rate online. I took Raja Bell to his same hotspot and only took OTD 3's and momentum dritfers. It didnt matter what type of contest my defender tried. They went in and kept me in the game and I won. Raja's SOD is 75/3pt rating-81. All of his shooting abilities are only average too yet he completely dominated.

Re: Does 3PT% need tuning?
Something I noticed against an incessant 3pt bomber. Coach profile settings and defensive pressure set to max, made the same quality contests more efficient. The problem is your CPU controlled guys play way too close off ball and are succeptible to quick cuts. The main problem is if I am guarding 1 shooter tight manually, that should override coach settings even if pressure was set to 0. I shouldn't need an artificial boost from coach settings.Comment

Re: Does 3PT% need tuning?
3PT was fine at 45, I have no idea why they changed this. I play offline games on Sim with the 3PT at 45 just like 2K11 had it. Why the change - I have no idea.Comment

There's the problem right there! Camera angle. That was slightly contested shot but not fully contested, your angle was too far to the left. I use 2kcam and not having the same problems. That said, there's been a lot of 3pt shot feedback so there's probably something to that. I'd lower the slider down a couple notches but nothing more. What I don't want to see is it being lowered too much to the other extreme, having to work for the open shot and then it not being rewarded. That is WORSE. At least 2K12 rewards open looks -- which is how it should be.Comment

Re: Does 3PT% need tuning?
1st: Thank you for taking feedback here.
My Report: MyPlayer 12min quarters, Pro/All-star Sim, PG - Played 30 games (10 on Pro/sim and 20 on All-Star/sim).
My Observations: The issue is the Defense. The Defense is collapsing properly and helping on inside drives, however it fails to pick up outside shooters, to properly react to inside out passing, and it does not adjust to cover hot shooting players, once they start on runs.
The end results is the CPU defenders end up sagging off of the shooters too much and they get caught in between players, leaving them wide open. It sometimes looks like the defenders contest the shot - however the announcers always comment on how "open" the shooters are.
If at all possible, I would prefer an increase in the defenders ability to contest shots; 2k11 3-point shot percentages were extremely low and it diminished my enjoyment of the game by turning it into mainly an inside game. 2k12 has both an inside and outside game, it just needs some tweaking on defense so that both inside and outside game elements are still utilized.
$100 says you never practiced releases and just wanted to "pickup and play"Comment
