I tried the test for about half of the first quarter. Dwight had 12 points from the post and not one shadow of a double came. I didn't feel like going the entire game. I even turned Charlotte's coaching tendency to double team up to 100 beforehand.

I am now officially confused and am even beginning to doubt what my friend and I saw happen in the game I played yesterday. Illogical, I know, but this is weird stuff. I'll try to pay attention more to this issue and, if I do indeed see the double teams and they're not just a figment of my imagination, I'll try to capture the video and upload it.

You were confusing me lol. when you were saying you have seen double teams in the post.

There is something seriously wrong with the A.I when it doesnt recognize a mismatch of the proportion of dwight posting augustine.

In previous 2k games this wouldve been an automatic double. regardless of whether he was hot or not.

In 2k. nothing.

very dissapointing and if its not fixed in a patch. I fear I have wasted countless hours creating and editing the superleague roster.

I just saved a replay of the Hawks doubling Lebron on the perimeter. It didn't lead to the tie-up animation because he passed out before they could. It's also not help D because he hadn't beaten his man, he was just dribbling in place and another defender came from around the free throw line and doubled him. It's a PC replay, so you probably can't see it if I upload it to 2kShare. How can I capture and upload it?

I'm gonna double-down on the confusion and say that now I'm SURE I saw the double-team come on Roy yesterday.

I do agree that the double-team system needs to be tweaked via patch. It should definitely come sooner on premier players, whether on the perimeter or in the post.

I'm just really getting into 2K12 and Pro/Default really is a fun game of bball. I player lock on the PG position and I'm having a blast playing this game. I have everything on Auto so it's like I'm just a member of the team and the coach handles everything.

I just need to improve my shooting. Played a game last night where I was like 6/36 shooting with Kyrie Irving. I use Real Player % on both by the way. LOL or really

That's how I play too (Player Lock) since Coach Mode is a mess in 2K12. Pro/Default is decent for those who like to duplicate the online environment, but it's far from ideal for getting the best out of 2K12 for any offline gamer.

I'm currently playing Pro/Sim and it's better I think. Less inside domination and more D...I think. I just suck at shooting.

Question...does the shot stick work like the kicking in Madden where you go both ways with the stick or do you just pull it down then release it to shoot.

You only need to pull the stick in one direction and then release at the top of the shooter's jump/release.

Depending on which direction you move the stick (up/left/right/down), there will be a different shot type.

That's the thing that's bothering me right now. LOL I just try to run the plays and won't take any shots because I can't shoot. My teammates have to be on for us to have a shot at a win because I'm not contributing anything. LOL

Sliders depend entirely upon the roster being used. Most custom rosters have a slider set that is recommended for use with them. If you're using 2K's default rosters, then you might as well stick with the Simulation sliders because there are no slider adjustments that can fix the problems within that roster and Sim is a decent base.

I will say that the game seems more tight on pro/sim as opposed to pro/default. Trying to get to my next spot on plays and being impeded by bouncing off of guys.

I play on all-star / default, sim sliders are bad imo.

I think it depends on whether you are playing the CPU or another user how you should approach the use of sliders. I play mostly people on 12 minute quarters all on Hall of Fame sim. It's not as likely you will get steals and more likely you will get called for reaching - things that might be important if you have a steal button masher.

I personally am not a fan of adjusting the sliders for custom settings. Since the default sliders are all 50 across the board I could see using those but still prefer the simulation sliders only because I want a consistent experience across the board from mode to mode and from CPU to user.

And I'll probably take some flack for saying this, but I think people are too quick to adjust the sliders to help them improve their gameplay and always suggest people resist the urge to tweak the sliders and instead work on improving their decision making and controller skills. I think it's more important to adjust the difficulty level than the sliders.

i refuse to believe it at first but after testing it, i was like damn. wtf is right. it's just weird the best gameplay settings here are not on all-star/simulation like i used to play 2k but on pro/default.

i use to tell dudes this when they ran associations/seasons online. no one would listen.
