Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
My ultimate change(s)/upgrade(s) is for create a team mode and association mode. This is for console version...
~Instead of logos in the create a team mode, I want the city and/or nickname of the team instead. You look at at every team in the NBA and they have either the name of the city on their jersey or the name of the team. I want this option in CAT. Ex: If I make the Brooklyn Nets, I don't want a logo of a basketball or a subway, where the team name or city should be. I should be able to put Brooklyn on the road jerseys and Nets on the home jerseys.
~Also with the CAT mode, have different icons and styles of the fonts so when I create a team, each team I create can be different.
~The only thing in association that not only would I like, but HAS to be in there, is the revamp of the cba, which would pretty much take care of all cba issues in 2k12. Meaning (TPE, LLE, MLE, trade revamping, 4 team trades, amnesty clause, free agency stips, etc.) would all be in there. To make it more realistic, remove the trade override feature, but revamp the CPU trade logic, so realistic/smart trades can still be made.
If these two things are in 2k13, along with any other features they add or revamp, I'd be in love.USC Trojans - Greatest Football Program

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Online needs a lot of work. Most of this has probably been mentioned already, but I'll go through what I see that could use improving:
-A spectator mode would be very nice; the ability to watch our friends play, or a system where you join a lobby, watch a game, and then wait to play the winner (like in the latest iteration of Mortal Kombat)
-Custom sliders and everything else for unranked games against friends. Also perhaps the ability to use a custom roster if both players agree, as well as the ability for both players to hear custom music if both agree.
-Settings (controller settings, camera, coaching settings/sliders, playbook, etc.) that can be saved so we don't have to change them right before every game
-Ability to play unranked games against random players. No idea why this was removed.
For general gameplay:
-Shorter players, like point guards and undersized shooting guards, should have to gather HARD to get up the momentum to dunk OVER someone. If there's no one in the way and they can get away with barely getting the ball above the rim, they shouldn't gather hard. But if there's a defender in their path, they should have to do a big gather, and if they don't do the big gather, they shouldn't get very high in the air.
Use this video for reference:
<iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/zjGUHLIZE4o?rel=0" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="560"></iframe>
-Perhaps a "Defensive Aggressiveness" tendency, on-ball and off-ball, which determines how likely a player is to "hound" an offensive player (obviously other things should play a role, such as how good the player is and how well he's performing in a given game).
-Steve Nash deserves his own layup package with his underhand scoops and such
-If possible, both an individual and team-based "Outlet Pass" tendency, as well as an individual "Outlet Pass" rating.
-Allow the player to have multiple players on the court at once in practice mode
-Full court passes shouldn't be underthrown as often as they are in 2K12. In the NBA, a player is more likely to overthrow than underthrow, since it's safer.
-Sig gathers, stepbacks, etc., should be faster for the most part. Perhaps it should be dependent on the player's quickness and footwork ratings (if a footwork rating is implemented).Last edited by RyanFitzmagic; 06-04-2012, 11:16 PM.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Top five important things that need to be put in the game.
1. Bring back 2k11 gameplay mechanics but with better touch ups.
2. commentators like charles Barkley and reggie miller should be put in the
game.
3. Need to bring to life the whole All star weekend feeling back to the game.
4. always keep improving player faces and NBA bodies.
5. Give more focus on My Player Mode!!!!!!!
A vast majority of 2k buyers are into the creating an NBA player.
MUST IMPROVE THIS GAME MODE.Last edited by JCAnd132; 06-04-2012, 10:30 PM.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Does 2K have actual testers? It seems like someone goes in, plays one game, sees that it'll get them money, and it's a go. I'm 99% sure that's the testing process for this game because it's the only game on Earth that can make Madden look like a glitchless masterpiece.
I can shoot 75% from the field as opposed to someone shooting 38% and lose because he jacks up 3s all game and I play solid basketball, running plays, using my team, etc. Why? Why does this game cater to horrible players? I don't consider myself great, but I'm solid. I can hang with solid competition, not great, but realistically (a term the people involved in this game probably don't understand) I SHOULD be able to beat all bad players by a decent margin. But no. That only happens sometimes and those times are when that player isn't draining every single one of their 3s (which is rare). So on one side he jacks up 3s makes them, plenty right in front of my face of course, and on the other side I come off a screen WIDE OPEN from midrange with Dirk and brick. What is that? I can't count how many times I'll have a perfect shot that I set up via play with a great shooter, miss, then have this dude come across court and nail a three...and I'm not talking about a three with Mike Miller or Novak or someone like that. I'm talking about one with Matt Barnes, Artest, Wade, etc.
It's like the developers way of saying "Stop playing basketball and play like a mindless moron like the majority of the 2K community." Speaking of which, how about a someone running around for 23 seconds getting locked down then forcing a shot with someone right in his face and making it. Happens too much and is just another sign that there was NO testing of this game whatsoever.
Please take out predetermined wins. It's painfully obvious there are games where you simply aren't going to win regardless of what you do. An example would be going 1-13 from the 3 point line with the Rockets and going 0-14 with Lowry. Now, I'm the type of player who RARELY puts up bad shots. I don't like shooting unless I have space or am wide open. So this is not a problem with my shot selection. This is also not a problem with shot release because I always practice that before using a team. This was simply a case of the game being a piece of **** and giving a W to my opposition who was atrocious. When I say atrocious, I'm talking about him playing on ball defense every possession and leaving me wide open on every shot. So while he's defending air behind me, I'm shooting the most wide open 3s ever and missing them over and over and over again. Three point, mid range, layups, you name it. Why do I get penalized for playing such an awful player? And why is it that this player (and many other bad players) can make the most random things ever? From contact layups on Dwight Howard, to back to back three pointers with Wade.
Speaking of contact layups...or "contact" layups, why is it that the tiniest graze foul can make players miss wide open layups? I drive to the hole, get "fouled" with nothing changing in my player's body movement and completely miss the layup. Get that **** out of here. How about those moments where you got your opposition driving gets fouled at the elbow, gets the longest continuation ever, and your there unable to move or do anything as they get the and one. Why does the play stop the second a foul is called? Why can't I make an attempt to come over and block/alter the and one layup?
Moving on to one of my personal favorites. You get a rebound/steal and one of your players is down the court wide open but a little bit to the side of the basket. You pass it to him and instead of going up for a routine dunk or layup, he does either a jump shot or some random hook/leaner animation that's about 50/50 going in. You may say "well, cut closer to the basket before shooting" which would be very logical if you there wasn't always that chance of that amazing layup animation that lags, giving the defense time to come back and swat it. Why? If you got a one open guy down court and he's anywhere near the basket, your next press of the shot button or shot stick should be an automatic layup or dunk.
Now to my favorite. Players doing every single thing in their power to get their dunk or layup blocked. Oh let's see, I'm driving to hoop from the right side. Not a single soul there. Dwight Howard is close to the left side of the hoop. So what does my player do? Tries a reverse right in Howard's face. The result of that one was obvious. How about when I got a fast break with someone fairly close behind me. The logical thing to do would be, of course, to do a routine dunk. But nope. In it's most triumphant moments displaying how much of an arcade piece of trash this game has become, my player decides to pull the ball back as far as possible, practically touching the defenders head behind me, and...well, get blocked. They developers made it so the offense will do ANYTHING in their power to get blocked on layups or dunks.
So with this entire essay I just wrote, my personal wishlist? Get some ****ing game testers. Because after one single 5 minute quarter of playing 2k12, I could have reported at least 15 gameplay hindering flaws to the people in charge of this game.
Not proofreading this either. Deal with any spelling errors or grammatical mistakes.Comment

3. Here I show a problem with the pass type selection and I discuss the odd pass placement in 2k12 (more specifically, how passers will too often place the ball behind the receiver).

4. I explain the problem of the game forcing you to shoot an unwanted shot after a hop step when there is a defender nearby.

Players don't self-post in 2K12, and I have no idea why this feature was removed. Even the tendency was scrapped for no apparent reason.Comment

See sig, fix all said problems with online association. give admins control back, and make it an advance similar to Madden, this way admins can gather most of the league to do things, and we don't have offseasons happening at 2am and none can do anything.Comment
