    Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion

Awesome idea. I personally do not like to make trades/signings throughout the year in my main Assoc. I usually turn auto save off and will try to stick as close to the NBA's actual schedule as possible with my team (ie will play the 17th's games on or around the 17th and if I want to play ahead, I'll save the 17th's game and play ahead without saving....and the just replay the 18th's game). I usually fall behind a few days, so I'll usually end up playing catch up (ie will play the games I missed on the 14th, 15th and 16th on the 17th).

I don't like making trades or signings and I turn injuries off and just adjust rotations according to how things are going in the NBA currently. I watch a lot of NBA basketball, so it annoys me to have someone who is currently playing well in real life randomly get injured in the game. The same goes for trades and signings. I basically try to mimic real life. This is why I enjoy using all 30 teams....I can control rotations and any trades/signings that happen throughout the season.

by main topics i mean often asked

for ex: what is a good trade for Dwight Howard. Instead of people constantly asking, the list can show the best ideas that have been thought of

What would be a fair/realistic trade if I were to give any combo of Beasley, Derrick Williams, Wes Johnson?
Johnson hasn't panned out too well by not playing has real position (SF).
I would trade him for a veteran and a 2nd round pick.
        Twolves need a veteran presence.

As for Beasley/Williams, they would also go to a younger team who's rebuilding.

for the timberwolves any trade besides probably love and rubio would be fine because over the offseason it was made clear most of their players could be shopped

Beasley and Wes Johnson for Kanter, CJ Miles and Alec Burks?

that trade is fair according to their stats now, but kanter and burks are high picks barely starting in the nba

This is a very interesting offer... I'm not sure, I wouldn't be shocked if neither team in real life would do it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they both would lol

Well then if I am going to post some possible trades for stars like Dwight on the first page we need to start working some out that we think are fair/realistic....

                  Rules for Howard:

Must wind up on the Lakers, Clippers, Nets, or Mavs

The problem is I think there will need to be a third team with most of these trades, so If anybody works out any possible 3 team trades that are fair, then I will start posting all the options you have for Howard using spoiler tags on the first page

                      Hey guys...couple ideas

First, change the option to TEAM option instead of player option for dwight howard, and then decline it if you want him to be a FA after the season.

Second, I decided to use amnesty on richard jefferson (due to make 10mil next year, and 11mil the year after). And Ron Artest (who is due to make over 7mil each of the next two seasons). You must change the option to None for it to work for Artest...and yes, irl a team can use the amnesty clause on a player even if there is a player option on the contract.

How you do this is edit his contract under "edit player". Lower the year 2 to ZERO dollars...making him a FA after the season is over. You don't have to use these guys but it was my choice...remember, teams only can use amnesty one time EVER so choose wisely for each team. Doesn't have to be this year so don't force it if it's not to their advantage.

Third, every now and then you want to check the "Contract Extenstions" page in your association. Check to see if players WILL Re-Sign with their team or not. And re-sign players who you feel will be re-signed irl, or can be productive for the team. Here are some I just did myself...

Grizzlies sign OJ Mayo to a 4yr/31.14mil deal
Hornets sign Carl Landry to a 4yr/33.17mil deal
Magic sign Ryan Anderson to a 5yr/32.88mil deal
Mavs sign Jason Terry to a 2yr/19.09mil deal
Nuggest sign Danilo Gallinari to a 5yr/45.42mil deal
Blazers sign Greg Oden to a 5yr/47.04mil deal (He will be productive in the game with injuries off lol).
Wizards sign Nick Young to a 4yr/29.03mil deal
Wizards sign Javale McGee to a 4yr/36.25mil deal

Dunno bout those two. I hear a lot of talk about the Wiz trading McGee and Young or keeping Young as a 6th man maybe. But there's def a lot of talk about them trading McGee and or Blatche. Both are knuckleheads with a lottt of potential but idk how much the organization likes their attitudes. I could maybe see McGee getting resigned but then again I could just as likely see him being traded.

NO WAY that trade ever happens. The Jazz are building a VERY solid foundation. Kanter, Burks, Favors, Heyward. I doubt they'd give that up on two players who stocks are about as low as it can get. No one in the league wants Beasley, he's a one dimensional player who shoots, shoots, and shoots some more. He bring nothing else. Wes Johnson isn't looking to promising. He might turn it around but for now he can't be put in a trade like that for two young guys with loads of potential who haven't showed any signs of being bust yet ( I know their careers are young, but that's the point)
