How about this trade for Dwight? (I saw this trade on OS a few weeks ago. The idea is not original with me.)

Lakers trade: Andrew Bynum, Pau Gasol, 2 first-round picks

Magic trade: Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu

Rockets trade: Kevin Martin, Goran Dragic, Chase Budinger, 1 or 2 first-round picks

Lakers get: Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu

Magic get: Andrew Bynum, Kevin Martin, Goran Dragic, Chase Budinger, 3 or 4 first-round picks

    Rockets get: Pau Gasol
    <O</O
By the way, I'd like to hear some Dwight to NJ suggestions. I'm having trouble thinking of NJ trade scenarios.

I could maybe see McGee getting resigned but then again I could just as likely see him being traded.

Well I can "re-do" those by just editing their contract to zero for every year following year 1, that's the beauty of it lol. But I haven't heard anything about that myself...I can se possibly trading Mcgee for a 1st rd pick to a middle of the pack team but wouldn't know who. I wanna keep Young signed long-term...

It's not all about what will happen irl to me, it's what I think is best for the team within my asociation. (You see this with the re-signing of greg oden)..I. may think of a story to create a player with an attitude and cancer to the team in the locker room. But I would like to think the Wizards would like to keep the young guys who are part of them rebuilding there.

i like that three way trade with 76ers, but i think it might need to throw in a pick or so.also the list of resigns is worth going up with realistic contracts, but i don't think O.J. Mayo resigns in real life at the moment, he doesn't seem too happy

I think the point of those contracts were to get figures for everybody...

Just to say how much they should be making, wherever they do sign

It might be me, but I don't think either of those trades for Dwight is fair. The sixers give up 2 good players for Gasol whos getting older and then the Rockets lose like everything just for Pau Gasol. I don't think he is worth that much.

gasol is hard to trade. i believe he is getting paid 18 million this year and next year. plus his best years are behind him.

The 3 team deal wouldn't work for the Rockets...they give up everything but the kitchen sink for an aging Pau Gasol.

As far as NJ, I've run through a few tries with the NBA trade machine...it's going to have to be a 3 team trade IMO.

Nets trade: Lopez, Okur, Morrow, 1st rd pick
                Magic trade: Howard, Turkoglu
Rockets trade: K. Martin, Lowry, 1st rd pick

                Nets receive: Howard
Magic receive: K. Martin, Lowry, Okur, Morrow, 1st rd pick (Rockets), 1st rd pick (Nets)
                Rockets receive: Turkoglu, Lopez

Best I could come up with. Nets get their big man. Magic get a nice influx of talent in their backcourt, plus 2 first round picks to rebuild. Rockets get a great young Center and a solid scorer in Turkoglu.

I agree that Mayo won't resign with Grizzles, but rather because the Grizzles don't want to resign him. I will probably deal him in my Association to some team. Maybe the Nets for Morrow and pick as Grizzles need help with 3-point shooting

A trade with the Net's isn't that realistic as the Magic don't really like Lopez. If you did trade Howard I'd do it with Laker for Bynum and Gasol while getting third team involved to get Magic some draft picks

First, change the option to TEAM option instead of player option for dwight howard, and then decline it if you want him to be a FA after the season.

Second, I decided to use amnesty on richard jefferson (due to make 10mil next year, and 11mil the year after). And Ron Artest (who is due to make over 7mil each of the next two seasons). You must change the option to None for it to work for Artest...and yes, irl a team can use the amnesty clause on a player even if there is a player option on the contract.

How you do this is edit his contract under "edit player". Lower the year 2 to ZERO dollars...making him a FA after the season is over. You don't have to use these guys but it was my choice...remember, teams only can use amnesty one time EVER so choose wisely for each team. Doesn't have to be this year so don't force it if it's not to their advantage.

Third, every now and then you want to check the "Contract Extenstions" page in your association. Check to see if players WILL Re-Sign with their team or not. And re-sign players who you feel will be re-signed irl, or can be productive for the team. Here are some I just did myself...

Grizzlies sign OJ Mayo to a 4yr/31.14mil deal
Hornets sign Carl Landry to a 4yr/33.17mil deal
Magic sign Ryan Anderson to a 5yr/32.88mil deal
Mavs sign Jason Terry to a 2yr/19.09mil deal
Nuggest sign Danilo Gallinari to a 5yr/45.42mil deal
Blazers sign Greg Oden to a 5yr/47.04mil deal (He will be productive in the game with injuries off lol).
Wizards sign Nick Young to a 4yr/29.03mil deal
Wizards sign Javale McGee to a 4yr/36.25mil deal
Here are some more contract extension's I came up with to use as guidelines.

                      J.J. Hickson 4/18.57
                      Brook Lopez 5/70.02
                      Roy Hibbert 4/42

A question on 30-control free agency period....how do you switch between teams within free agency without advancing a day each time?

You go into the first free agency screen as one team (shows team overview with accepted and pending offers); then to view free agents and make offers you press Start, but that automatically advances the free agency period by one day. In order to sign free agents for a 2nd team, you have to back out to the Offseason Tasks main page, switch teams, then re-enter. This advances free agency another day.

30 teams and only 16 free agency days...is a problem. Can someone help a confused guy out?
