Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
i like the kaman to t'wolves trade
as for marion, dwight, and nash, i have my opinions posted in my two posts above and didn't know you posted this until after i posted those two items
Ok, I am 1 1/2 weeks away from the trade deadline in my association and am considering a bunch of moves. I'm going to list them here. I'd appreciate any feedback. Sorry for the long post
1. Stephen Jackson to ATL for Kirk Hinrich, possible 2nd rd pick
2. Stephen Jackson to NJ for Anthony Morrow, Jordan Farmar
Reasoning: Jackson wants out of Milwaukee badly and the Bucks feel the same way. MIL is 2 games out of the 8th seed but Jackson isn't playing much anyway so this shouldn't hurt too bad. Hinrich is an expiring contract and Morrow is a deadly 3 pt shooter. ATL is in the 8th seed and could use some bench scoring if they want to make a run in the playoffs. New Jersey is willing to target Jackson because reportedly Dwight Howard wants to play with him. This shouldn't effect a trade for Howard or cap room if he becomes a FA.
3. O.J. Mayo to NJ for Jordan Farmar and a lottery protected pick
4. O.J. Mayo to NJ for Anthony Morrow
5. O.J. Mayo to CHI for Ronnie Brewer and a 1st round pick (you could put Jimmy Butler in too if you wanted to)
The Grizzlies will not re-sign Mayo and would like to get something for him. Chicago is looking for some scoring off the bench and would give a defensive SG and a late 1st for Mayo. NJ is looking for cap space for the offseason. If Howard is traded to NJ they would lose Marshon Brooks and Mayo could be the scoring SG they need. Based on what Howard decideds, the pick could be really bad or really good. Farmar would be your backup PG and Morrow could replace Mayo's scoring off the bench. My only concern for Memphis is that if they don't get Morrow they don't have any scorers off the bench. There is one more trade below
6. Steve Nash to MIA, O.J. Mayo and Mario Chalmers to PHX, and Mike Miller and MIA 1st round pick to MEM
7. Steve Nash to POR for Raymond Felton, Greg Oden, and either Nicolas Batum or a draft pick
8. Steve Nash to IND for Darren Collison and a 1st round pick
I, for one, don't really think Phoenix will trade Nash. But if they do, these are the best offers I've seen. I believe someone else have used each of these and I really like them. Portland is in the 8 seed now but, with Nash, they could make a run in the playoffs. Batum likely will not re-sign next season. If IND thinks they can make a serious playoff run they could target Nash.
9. Eric Bledsoe and Randy Foye from LAC to ORL for Jason Richardson
This would only work if ORL trades Howard and goes into rebuilding mode. They very well could get a SG (Kevin Martin, Marshon Brooks) and make Richardson and his bad contract expendable. Foye is an expiring contract and Bledsoe is a solid PG prospect. LAC gets some extra bench help and becomes very deep with J-Rich, Kenyon Martin, and Mo Williams off the bench.
10. Ramon Sessions to LAL for TPE/Luke Walton and a 1st round pick
11. Leandro Barbosa to LAL for TPE and 1st round pick
12. Nick Young to LAL for TPE/Luke Walton and 1st round pick
13. Andray Blatche to LAL for TPE and 1st round pick
LAL is looking for a PG and help off the bench. Right now they are in the 6 seed but there is only a 3.5 game difference between the 2 seed and the 7 seed so things could change quickly. Sessions fills the PG need, while Barbosa or Young could serve as a scorer off the bench. Blatche has worn out his welcome in Washington but a change of scenery could help him. He would be the third big man behind Gasol and Bynum.
14. Leandro Barbosa to ATL, Kirk Hinrich to LAL, TPE and possible ATL pick to TOR
15. Hinrich and a 1st round pick from LAL to TOR, Jose Calderon from TOR to LAL
These 2 trades have to go together. Calderon does not fit in the LAL TPE but Hinrich does and Hinrich can be trade for Calderon. In these deals, ATL gets scoring off the bench for Hinrich, who is having the worst season of his career, LAL gets a major upgrade at PG and TOR gets picks and an expiring contract.
16. Shawn Marion to IND for an expiring contract
17. Shawn Marion to GS for Kwame Brown
Dallas is trying to shed cap to make a run at Howard and Williams in free agency. So this only works if Howard is not traded. GS is looking for a veteran defender at the 3 and Indiana might want a solid wing defender off the bench for the playoffs. Dallas might have to give a pick to make these deals work.
18. Eric Gordon and Chris Kaman to IND for Danny Granger, 1st round pick, and possibly George Hill
19. Chris Kaman to IND for 1st round pick
20. Chris Kaman to MIN for Wes Johnson, Martell Webster, and Anthony Randolph/Brad Miller
21. Kaman to MIN for Michael Beasley and Webster
Chris Kaman wants out of New Orleans. If the Hornets think the Gordon will leave as a FA then deal 18 would work. Or they could just trade Kaman and take their chances with Gordon. Beasley, Johnson and Randolph are prospects with potential while Webster and Miller are on expiring contracts.
21. Kevin Martin to IND for Danny Granger
22. Monta Ellis to IND for Danny Granger
Just like in deal 18, IND is trying to get a SG for Granger. Either one of these works, but I think I like 21 better.
23. Andray Blatche to BOS for Jermaine O'Neal and a pick
Boston could take on a young PF with potential. As I said earlier, a change of scenery could be helpful for Blatche.
These next trades relate to my team, the Charlotte Bobcats
24. Corey Maggette to CHI for C.J. Watson and Kyle Korver
25. Corey Maggette to ATL for Kirk Hinrich and Donald Sloan
26. D.J. Augustin to NO for Al-Forouq Aminu
27. Augustin to TOR for Ed Davis
I want Maggette out bad. THe first trade works for me because I get a player I really like in Watson (Go Vols) and a shooter/espring contract in Korver. Chicago gets some help off the bench for the playoffs. In the 2nd trade ATL gets some scoring off the bench and I get an expriring contract. Sloan is just for $ reasons. The next 2 i trade Augustin. NO and TOR both need a PG. New Orleans could be getting a SF in Granger which could make Aminu not needed. With Jonas Valanciunas coming over for TOR next year, they do not have enough minutes for Amir Johnson, Davis, Bargnani, and Valanciunas. Davis could be the odd man out.
I'm not sure if I will do the 3rd and 4th trades or not. I'm still not sure if it is worth it to trade Augustin. However, I'd do the 1st or 2nd trades in a second. I'm also open to dealing Gerald Henderson and/or Boris Diaw but I haven't found a good trade yet.
Last but not least, the Dwight Howard trades. I think that it is down to 3 places: NJ, CHI and LAL. Here are the best I've seen for each. Which is best for ORL and what could be done to improve it? It is also a possibility that Howard could stay and become a FA.
28. Howard, Ryan Anderson, and Turkoglu to CHI, Joakim Noah, Luol Deng, Taj Gibson, Omer Asik, and picks to ORL
29. Howard and Turkoglu to NJ, Brook Lopez, Marshon Brooks, Kris Humphries, Memhet Okur, Jordan Farmar, and picks to ORL
30. Howard, Turkoglu, and Glen Davis to LAL, Pau Gasol to HOU, Andrew Bynum, Kevin Martin, Patrick Patterson, Chase Budinger, and multiple picks to ORL
