I don't really like that trade to be honest, Mohammed is a great backup C and Sefalosha is a top 5 perimeter defender. Plus, why would they re-sign Kaman anyway?

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
I'm looking for some advice on what to do with Portland. Right now I see two options, go hard after some veterans and try to win a title in the next 2-3 years, or trade away the older players and rebuild. LaMarcus Aldridge is the best player and would be kept in any scenario. 3 quick notes before I outline my scenarios
1. Portland is in the 5-8 seed range right now and is expected to be in the playoffs.
2. However, Jamal Crawford is out for the regular season with an injury. I've considered adding Gilbert Arenas but I'm not sure yet.
3. With this roster set, I've yet to see Steve Nash retire after 1 year and there is nothing that would lead me to believe that he will in this association.
The first option would invlove trading my picks, Batum, and possibly Oden and Felton in an effort to get better in the short term. I know a lot of people have done the Steve Nash for some combination of Felton, Oden, and Batum. You could also re-sign Gerald Wallace and Jamal Crawford so the core could be Nash, Matthews/Crawford, Wallace, Adridge, and a possible FA at C. I'm sure there some other trades involving Batum and Felton that could be made. Portland is set to have some cap space and could go after a solid role player at SF/PF or get a starting C.
The other option is attempt to trade Wallace and maybe Felton and start the rebuilding. The group of players I mentioned above are good, but I'm not sure that they are good enough to beat OKC, LAC, MIA, or CHI in a 7 game series. This scenario would involve trading Wallace to a contender for pick/prospects and perhaps dealing Felton as well. You would re-sign Batum and use what you receive in the trade to try to build around Matthews, Batum, and Aldridge. The Blazers are set up to have lots of cap room next offseason and could possibly make a run at some FAs as well.
So with this in mind, what route would you go for? I've got my mind made up on what I want to do for most of the teams in the league but I'm having trouble with Portland. I'd appreciate any comments.Tennessee Volunteers

In year one I had the Blazers make a move for Ryan Anderson since they were weak at depth for bigs. Then they played Alridge at C when Camby came out and Anderson at the 4. Good 3 player rotation. I also got Devin Harris on Portland.... trying to member the exact trade but I can't. Unfortunately I had Wallace leave in the offseason after declining his PO but it's ok they got cap space. I'm in year two now and I've upgraded Elliot Williams to a 72. I see a lot of potential in him but I just think he needs the PT.
I can see your dilemma though, the Blazers are a tough team to decide on but it's fun cause they have so many possibilities and good young players.Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Marcus? If so I don't see the Kings doing that. They already have enough high volume shot takers who have questionable shot selection. They like Marcus Thorton as their 6th man scorer off the bench. Like a Crawford/Mayo. I got MKC (Kentucky) for them in the draft. Think he fits their team beautifully.Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
I don't feel like teams would really want Oden since he's out for the year. I, myself like to keep him for Portland and have him come back next year to make a big time duo with Aldrige.Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
i think they make the trade so trail blazers make a title push and oden could still be a high chance oden still gets injuried so it would just be felton and 1st, and the first is lotto, it can be back top 20 if you want
and i'm bout to pull off this trade in a few hours, so just making sure its fair
Howard Turkoglu G.Davis to Lakers
Gasol Kapono to Hawks
Bynum J.Smith Pachulia to MagicLast edited by chinatownpwnage; 02-16-2012, 11:11 PM.
