Hey guys, any ideas for rule changes for association? I was thinking maybe no zone or bring back hand-checking.

I hardly ever see the CPU run a zone and use it very rarely so I don't see that changing that rule really having any effect as far as the actual gameplay goes. As for hand checking, how would go about that? Raise on ball defense to 100? Regardless I don't see that rule ever returning as it would make the game more defensive/lower scoring/less entertaining and the NBA is all about 'entertainment' at this point.

If anyone started their association on Roster set 3, I could upload a video of my Aaron Brooks CAP. Just take a created player (Doesn't work with Draft Class guys) like Chris Johnson, and edit him. I copied all of his ratings, tendencies, and signatures but I edited him to fit with BEds rosters. And don't forget to boost Wilson Chandler, Jeff Green, JR Smith, and Kenyon Martin's speed and quickness up. There at a 50, because I think BEd wanted their rating to go down.

I would appreciate the Aaron Brooks CAP video.

I guess your right about the zone but maybe for hand-checking, we could raise on ball defense and lower reach-in fouls. Maybe we could even set everyone's hard foul tendency to 100. On another note, for all user controlled games, give any team(User or CPU) coming off a back-to-back -2 in Speed, Quickness, Vertical, and Stamina. And give teams with 2 days rest +2 in those categories(and +3 for 3 day rest).

Can anyone post a list of the overseas players who's rights are controlled by a specific team? I know Chandler and the Nuggets and Brooks and the Suns, but that's it.

I looked for info earlier(not real hard but I did look) and couldn't find out. IMO Brooks and Chandler are the only ones that their teams will try to bring back.

I signed Chandler to Denver, Brooks to Phoenix, J.R. Smith to Boston, and CDR to OKC.

I just select a number of teams, that where contenders, and then used random number method to pick which team Smith and CDR ended up on.

Sonny Weems is a RFA for Toronto and Patty Mills is a RFA for Portland. Weems isn't expected to return though. Mills might. I don't know.

That should be all in the guide... Most of those players are either free agents or RFA's even Brooks and Chandler are RFA's

This is mainly a question for Bed, but anyone with knowledge on the subject can answer:

I play on the PC, so I was not able to download your roster, I'm into January in my association, the problem is assists and rebounding numbers are extremely low. Rondo and Nash are the only guys over 9 assists and Howard, Varejao, Griffin, and Monroe are the only players with double-digit rebounds. Is there anything I can do to edit players skills or tendencies, or even the game options so that these stats get buffed for the rest of the season?

Haha, yeah the offseason is a SOB!! It's a love hate thing though. I love all the editing and deciding on the guys who I think will bust out IRL etc. It is def a relieve to get to that first game after the offseason though.

I've been hearing a lot that the Nuggets will sign Chandler to a one year deal or he will go for a one year deal. Basically they're both gonna agree to it. Chandler so he can get the payday he thinks he'll get in Summer and the Nuggets for more depth and because injuries are killing them at the moment.

Edit: By one year I mean it will last for the remainder of this year when he gets back.

All of Chandler, Brooks, Smith and CDR right's are owned by their teams. By the way signing CDR, isn't that realistic since he's not coming back to NBA til next year

I'm hearing he will accept the qualifying offer as well. As for the other free agents, I've heard that the Clippers and Knicks are the top teams for JR Smith. I'm not sure he would take the vet minimum from LAC though.

Has anyone heard anything about Aaron Brooks? I really can't remember reading anything about him. I'd imagine the Suns would like to re-sign him though.
