Copy of my CBA so far
    ----------------------
    NBA 2017 Collective Bargaining Agreement

*Everything from the 2011 CBA Remains the same with the following exceptions:

    1. Salary Cap/Tax System
    • Soft cap system is the same as 2011 CBA
    • New hard cap system will be implemented and set at 120% of the soft cap
    • Teams can now hold on to a player using their Franchise Tag. Teams get one per year and can only use it on expiring players, who are set to become unrestricted free agents. Teams may offer a 1 year contract for 120% of the players previous salary, or the average of the top 5 salaries in that players position, whichever is greater.
    • A player now requires 4 years with a team to become a Bird player

Depending on how games you play, either "Game of the Night" like B.Eds said, or do "Games of the Week" since some nights don't always "good" games. I thought about doing mine that way but opted for one team.

For anyone interested, after I eat lunch(nowish), I'm gonna post my All-Star game story, I won't spoil it but it, but it was a classic.

            Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion

Nice, I'd def like to post my Assoc. in the near feature. I'm going along the lines of just managing every team as well. I do like to play with the teams I like though (Pacers, Grizzlies, Blazers, Hawks). I just got into my second season and I'd say the offseason took me about 10 hours to do. I had a lot of movement and took a lot of time on editing tendencies/ratings etc. I do have one minor problem though. I've got Al Jefferson to the Hawks because they decided they'd make a big run at the Finals, they've got Teague,Johnson,Smith,Horford, and Jefferson as their starters. Problem is I don't feel the Hawks would spend this kind of money but I'm gonna ride it out this season and probably let Smith walk in the offseason. I know they'd probably like to get something back for Smith but they're going for the title this year.

Anyways enough rambling I'll try and post my Assoc. up soon. Fun looking at everyone else's as well.

Well maybe you could amnesty Johnson so you can re-sign Smith. Joe Johnson had a lackluster year in Year 1 so I amnestied him in the offseason. Using the progession system, T-Mac went from a 71 to a 75 and got some of his athleticism back(Mad rehab and crazy German surgery I guess). In my association, Atlanta's rotation is Teague/Hinrich, McGrady/Fields, Williams/JaMychal Green, Smith/Horford/Garnett, Asik/Pachulia
I start Smith at the 3, Horford at the 4, and Garnett at the 5

In the CBA, all lottery teams have an equal chance at the #1 pick. Random.org 1-14. I was also thinking we should use video review. Just use instant replay for deciding plays and do a 5 second inbound violation if the play is overturned.

I'm curious why you changed Bird rights to 4 years. Having it at 4 years makes it really hard to re-sign 2nd round picks

I wanted a player to have to be loyal to his team to get bird rights. and vice versa

Did you change the amount of years for Early Bird Rights?

I still don't fully understand Early Bird, so I'm not changing it yet. What would you change it to?

I wouldn't change bird-rights at all because changing it has nothing to do with loyalty. It just makes it harder for teams to sign their free agents if they don't have cap space

I've decided to post my Bobcats association on here. I'm already part way through the season, but I wanted to post it anyway. I've reviewed the first 2 months of the season and will be posting weekly updates.
