      2. Streaky Scorer -Players with high scoring ratings but below average consistency ratings. (Beasley, JR Smith, etc.)

      3. Spark Plug - The players who seem to make the plays that spark the crowd and boost teammate intensity, and some skill traits. (Joakim Noah, Udonis Haslem)

Definitely want #2. It could slow down the players with high scoring ratings but arent consistent. I wouldnt mind them getting hot, but you didnt see them get cold for a while

Check back to the page 5. I have that streaky shooter as well. I think they need a streaky shooter and volume shooter as well. Some guys are streaky shooters and some are volume shooters. JR Smith is probably both. Carmelo is a volume shooter IMO.

Re: NBA 2K13 Signature Skills -- Confirmed Additions vs Speculated Additions

I don't see these being a gimmick that much. These could really open the game up. I see these giving variety to certain ratins.

For example, In All Pro Football, you could have 2 different quarterbacks with high passing ratings. But with the "skills", one had a high "accuracy" skill while the other had a high "distance" skill. Both were great passers, but played the game differently.

So I can see how BLOCK rating would benefit from this concept. LeBron, Bosh, and Battier probably have the same Block rating (all averaged 0.8 per 36 mins). But LeBron would have CHASE DOWN BLOCK, Bosh would have something like WEAK SIDE BLOCK, and Battier's DEFENSIVE SPECIALIST would be how he gets his blocks.

              Why would they do that?

I think it can work together.
So if a person has the "Ankle Breaker" skill, then you know he has high dribble ability. I think there will also be some post skills(for both off and def).
I think this can be a good thing if they use the abilities more. CPU wouldnt use Shooting or Layup/Dunk abilities, even if they were high.

If they do keep them, then I want to expand the ratings for abilities. 4 isnt enough to differentiate them.

Mascot/Clown: The guy who causes the crowd to cheer, not because he is a good player, but because he is a fan favorite. (eg. Scalabrine) This skill would be hard to get and hard to lose, but once you lose it you might never get it back.
Bobcats win 35th game. Some really weird news in the NBA. A betting scandal is revealed! But... that is not the strangest news!

There should also be a league-wide popularity factor. This will help with choosing All-Star teams in association mode. This would adjust depending on stats, injuries, team market, and team winning percentage. This would also determine the crowd size.

"Aerial Acrobat" - This is different than a layup/dunk package. This is a players ability and likelihood to change their shot while in mid air while avoiding contact. This would work perfectly if they are adding new physics.

As far as the "floor general" attribute goes, wasn't there something similar to this in College Hoops 2k8 where it was beneficial to have your seniors on the floor because it improved the offensive awareness of your team? This skill would not only be for star PGs, but also the Eric Maynors, Chris Duhons and Eric Snow type players who bring nothing else to the table.

I don't think they would integrate this because there are not many players in the league that are like as much as scalabrine

Maybe so but I don't think they will give any and every player a Signature Skill. I think only the top tier PG's will get it Eric Snow he probably would have got it Duhon nah can't see it. If Duhon gets it almost all PG's would get it, then it would not be a way to separate a CP3 from a Duhon.

                            Floor General's

I think a player can have none, but most will only have 1-2
