Re: NBA 2K13 - All 31 Signature Skills Revealed
i love that the person that really takes the time and learns his team will have somewhat of an advantage over a " pick up and play" casual guy. Hopefully this makes the game less casuals friendly gameplay wise as 2k12Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 - All Signature Skills Revealed
KG when he first came to the Celtics did cover up his team mates mistakes but he ALSO made his team mates better defensive players by raising their intensity and effort and signalling them for the proper rotations on defense. So 2K's effect for defensive anchor is sort of justified.
So does a great perimeter defender. Why can't we have that?Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 - All 31 Signature Skills Revealed
Some skills sound really cool, still some of them doesn't make sense to me at all. For example, how a pass from J. Noah (Post Playmaker) makes you to be better at shooting? (The pass will hit the receiver on point and will give him up to a 10% bonus on two-point shots and a 4% bonus on three-point shots, so long as the potential made shot by the shooter would result in an assist for the Post Playmaker). The pass itself should make you to get a better opportunity to shot (for example to make you a bit more wide open and have more time to make a shot) but not just make a better shotter no matter why. I have an idea what they were trying to make, but I dunno, it still sounds strange to me.ARE YOU LOOKING FOR YOUTUBE CHANNELS DEDICATED TO THE SIM COMMUNITY CLICK THE LINKS BELOW, AND SUBSCRIBE FOR ALL SIM CONTENT.

This player is known for initiating fast breaks with accurate outlet passes. For this skill to fire off, the player must be the defensive rebounder and the pass must be made within 3 seconds of the defensive rebound. The longer the outlet pass is in the game, the higher risk there is for throwing a bad pass. If the rebounder fulfills the two rules mentioned, the pass will have 50% less penalty than normal

The overall size, power and relentlessness of this player will drain energy from his match-up upon physical contact. When a Bruiser collides with his opponent during boxouts, post backdowns, off-ball bumps, off-ball rides and contact shots, he depletes more energy from his match-up than players without this skill. For comparison purposes, when contact occurs in one of these areas, bruisers cause their opponents to lose energy about half as much as when his opponent is running.
I wonder how will all of these skills play off of one another and what type of balance or imbalance will it bring to hum vs hum play. Whatever it does it has me way more intrigued than last year.Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 - All Signature Skills Revealed
While a Defensive Anchor’s team is on defense, all teammates on the floor are given up to a six point attribute boost to their defensive abilities.
That goes completely against the concept of a defensive anchor. He doesn't make his teammates BETTER. He covers up their mistakes.

Re: NBA 2K13 - All 31 Signature Skills Revealed
That's what I was envisioning as well. It's often overlooked, but there's a big difference between a teammate who slops a pass out near my feet from the post because they have no other choice, and the guy who's savvy down low and knows exactly how and where to get me the rock out on the perimeter.Comment

but no, dwight should not be a defensive anchor, because he covers mistakes instead of raising the quality of his team's defensive efforts and skills like the other two.xbox gt - bmorerep87
