Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Okay started my athletic SF...
The Rookie Showcase went good I guess.
18 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 block, 1 steal, 2 TOs in 23 minutes.
Then I got interviews from Golden State, Detroit and New Orleans and even though everybody wanted me, Golden State chose Barnes (too bad, would have been great with Curry, Lee and Bogut), and then Detroit decided that didn't want me and I ended up to the Hornets... I didn't like this at all..
Lets see what happens.Last edited by Greekman; 12-24-2012, 01:23 PM.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I had 46pts, 17 rebs, 4 assists, and 6 blocks against Jazz in my 2nd game in the season with ORL. Another blowout win for us. Demunyck and Hubbard combined for 33pts, 11 assists, 11 rebs, 3 steals, and 3 blocks. Demunyck shot similar to last game, but his passes were nice.
I had 40pts and 15 rebs against Hawks. Demunyck was injured the game before. Hubbard had a great game. He had 22pts(10-17), 11 assists, 4 rebs, and 2 steals. He is the truer PG out of the 2 PGs, but his height is his true weakness. Hubbard basically played all game. We dont have another PG beside Demunyck.
We are 4-0 and the 3 games I played it is 30+ pt blowout wins. But, we havent been tested yet. I was able to have great games in all 3 because I didnt face a defensive front yet. The game I am looking forward to play is Lakers. Kobe and Nash already retired, but they do have talent. They have Marquis Teague who progressed well, Dwight is still good, Gasol regress(but is still good), and they drafted a SF this year who is avging 21pts. I think that game will be a test for us. Every game I played so far had a good defensive PG, which is why my high volume shooting PGs havent gone off yet.
So far in 1st 4 games, both Hubbard and Demunyck is in top 10 in Pure Point Rating. Demunyck hasnt been in top 40 in PPR in previous seasons. They have been playing very well for us. I dont think either one of them can average over 10 assists, due to both starting. But, I expect both of them to average over 7 APG. I can see some of them things I saw in stats in previous seasons. Demunyck does put up alot of shots(not really since I take bulk of shots). But since he has 90 Off AWR, he will pass up shots to get assists. It seems like every game he will make at least one crazy flashy pass. One thing I dont like is that they both dont get good plays called for them. Demunyck needs to have more ISO plays since he has Shot Creator and Hubbard needs more catch and shoot plays since he has deadeye.
So, I top 3 guys on this team is 23 or younger. They wont get an extension till next season because both are on rookie contracts. I dont expect to get more talent from drafts anymore. We have a good front-court. Our main need is a SF. Harkless is alright, but he is backup not a starter. I dont want a scorer. I want a defensive SF that can shoot 3's. I dont want a SG because I like Demunyck as a SG. He is more of a Combo-Guard because of his pass-shoot ratio. But, since both our only 2 PGs are starting, we need a backup PG. I would like to have Eric Maynor still. I would like to trade Big Baby for him. I think we can be a great team record-wise this year, but I think we can have a dominant team in future seasons. When both of the PGs become better scorers/shooters, it will really take the load off me. Especially when they both get more Sig Skill. I fully expect both of them to get the Floor General Skill and Dimer skill.Last edited by illwill10; 12-25-2012, 12:59 AM.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I'm just played my 42nd game in my rookie season as a SG. I came from NOH but I demanded a trade because they are not giving me enough playing time and coming off the bench. I was traded to GSW (my first choice when I was asked by the GM). Now I'm having a good season as a starter with average of 28ppg 6rpg 8apg but 2.4topg. I had my best game with 53p-7r-7a against OKC with KD dropping 44 but I lost the game. And my 2nd triple-double of 42p-11r-14a against MIA with Lebron's 46 points and Wade's 42 points. That was a great game against those two monster. I could not stop Wade and Lebron.
Then our GM talked to me and asked for some players I want to be in our team. Although I don't want anyone because GSW + me in SG is more than enough but there is no CANCEL or to say to the GM that I don't want to trade any of my teammates. Now we lost 4 in 5 games since our stupid GM traded Jarret Jack for Wilson Chandler. And Bogut is injured so we have Lee at C then W.Chandler at PF, Barnes at SF and Curry at PG then Jenkins at Curry's back-up is not helping us at all.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Edit: It seems like injuries are only screwed up in careers started pre-patch and continued post-patch. I started a new career earlier and 2 games into the season there have been 4 injuries:
Nowitzki - 4-6 weeks(Torn Hand Ligament)
Howard - Day-to-Day(Bruised Tailbone)
Conley - 2-4 weeks(Bruised Rib)
T.Robinson - 6-8 weeks(Torn Hand Ligament)
I don't know whether or not they will reset after the All-Star break or not, I hope not.Last edited by nova91; 12-25-2012, 09:38 AM.Say "No" to railroaded MC modes.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I'm in my second season and I had Kevin Martin go down for about 10-15 games (I'm on the Rockets - old rosters). When he went out we went like 1-9 in the last 10 games. Completely screwed me.Comment

Won the Championship again in my 3rd season, Hornets didn't offer me a contract so I joined the Brooklyn Nets. We dominate.
In my 4th season. 5 key games remain. After the season, I can retire in the HOF, not sure if I want too though... I think I'll make a backup just incase.
I lead the league in rebounds, block. Top 10 for PPG.Last edited by IAmAhmed7; 12-25-2012, 09:13 PM.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I recreated Jamaal (DaHulk) Holcomb, 6'8" Point Forward. I got draftedby the Suns (Great place to be a superstar SF). In my first season I did somewhine and suggesting and got Beasley shipped out to OKC for Ibaka.
Lineup:
PG Dragic
SG S.Brown
SF DaHulk
PF Ibaka
C Gortat
Bench W. Johnson, Scola, Frye, Dudley and a few others. I got Telfair gone because hewould not give up the rock.
I take them on a Championship run the first year and get ROY, MVP and FinalsMVP. Second year team mostly intact. I am now in beast mode and coast to 2ndchampionship with all the awards that come with.
We are untouchable, and have a really nice group on the court. Then the third year begins and the Sun loose their mind and let Brown and Gortat go andsign freak'n Lebron James. What the heck are they thinking?
Now our lineup:
PG Dragic
SG W. Johnson
SF LeBron James
PF (You guessed it, they moves me) DaHulk
C Ibaka
Bench Scola, Morris, Dudley (He is pisses and want to be traded) and somegen rooks and sophs.
I have been complaining and freezing James out from day one of the season. They say they are on my side, but I do not see him getting traded or evencoming up in rumors. Is there any hope that I will get him out of my city orshould I just plan for free agency in the off season?Last edited by Adarkin; 12-25-2012, 04:21 PM.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Anyone have a good experience with a short (I'm talking under 6'0) point FORWARD? I am going to make my guy 5'10, but I have no clue what position to be. I know it would be ideal to be a PG but I think I was to be a point forward.
I've decided to be either a:
SF (point forward)
SG (scorer)
PG (defensive)
PG (pass-first)Seattle Mariners|Seattle Seahawks
