That is why I only play key games. I dont want to accomplish everything in 1st 3 seasons. I want to be able to play 8+ seasons, I like did with my PG. Difference is that, I won my title with my PF in his 3rd season. I havent won a title yet with my PG, even though I am in Playoffs.

Only time I want to play non-key games is when I want to scout players. I did that when I 1st decided on want Demunyck on the team(NOH at that time). But, I then decided I finally wanted to break out, so I went there. Which I am. I am 1st in league in PPG, REBs, and BPG after 1st 11 games.

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread

I am considering replacing 2 of my sig skills for 2 new ones. The 2 I am thinking about replacing is Gatorade Skill and Bruiser. Both of them are a bit overpowering. I want more of a challenge. Even on HOF Sim, I win high% of games because of those 2 skills.

I am considering buying Post Playmaker and Floor General or Defensive Anchor. At 1st, I was thinking about Post Proficiency. But, I immediately get double teamed once I start the animation, so it would be a waste buying that skill. I rarely score off the post anymore. So, Post Playmaker is a good skill to have since I will have open teammates. I have to chose between Floor General or Defensive anchor. Besides me and the 2 PGs, there isnt a consistent scorer on the team So, Floor General would help that. But, there is a very high % that both Demunyck and Hubbard will have Floor General skill in near seasons. So, I will go after Defensive Anchor.

Edit: After saving using saved up VC, I was able to get Post Playmaker LVL 1 and Def Anchor LVL 2. Because of the cap on Passing for Athletic PFs, I cant go any further on Post Playmaker due to passing. With Def Anchor LVL 2, we are a better defensive team. By only accounting for On-Ball D, we are very improved. Hubbard will now have 87 On Ball-D, Demunyck will now have 83 On Ball D and 86 Steal, Harkless will now have 75 On Ball D. Plus having Affalo and Shawn Marion, we have a better backcourt Defense.

We have an all-around squad. We have 3 capable 20pt scorers, good size in front-court with depth, good backcourt defense, good rebounding and frontcourt defense. Our main weakness is lack of another consistent outside shooter. Beside Affalo, we dont have a consistent 3 pt shooter. He doesnt get much time. With his On-Ball D and 3pt shooting, I would like him to be the 6th man. But, some generic SG gets the minutes.

Took game 7 against the Cavs by 9. I was in control most of the way, leading by 16 in the 3rd, but sat until the start of the 4th and the lead was cut to 5. We were able to pull away a bit in the 4th and hang on for the win. Finished with 26 pts 3 reb 10 ast 2 stls and 1 blk. Now the 2 seed Sixers await us in the Conference Finals while the Thunder and TWolves will duke it out in the West.

Just played against the Kings and boy it was probably one of our best games. We were down 16 in the first half and we started the 2nd half on 1-5 shooting. I thought we were going to lose but the Kings went on a cold streak. During their cold streak we started a run and we were only down 4 at the start of the 4th quarter. The King's cold streak and our hot streak continued into the 4th and we beat the Kings by 11. From being down 16 to being up 11. Wow. I didn't really like playing on the Celtics last season but playing with them this season is getting more and more fun.

Think I'm gonna start just playing Key Games since I don't think I can knock out 82 games + playoffs with the way we're going hah

Just started to play MyCareer mode for about a week now again after the patch, really enjoying the game now that the playvision glitch is over but i have a problem. I'm playing on simulation mode because I feel it's more realistic but playing on simulation has a disadvantage. My Player always gets tired in the 4th when it's clutch time and it's really affecting my game. I'm running slower shooting unstable I even missed 2 clutch free throws and ım averaging %94 from free throw line. Is there a fix for this or any of you guys have experienced the same trouble. I would really appreciate it if you can help me out on this

Been playing myCAREER for about a week now. Scoring PG, 6'3", drafted to Toronto. Accidentally requested a trade trying to get Lowry traded, so I went "Ah what the hell" and requested a trade to Brooklyn to play in the Barclays Center (Im a huge Celtics fan but I just love the Barclays Arena.) Simmed to next key game, traded after 5 games. I love this team. They were already on a 4 game winning streak, and are now on an 11 game winning streak. I have already gotten a triple double and a 49 point performance, maybe its time for a difficulty upgrade lol. Joe Johnson has been hurt btw so not sure how the rotations will work out once he comes back. Next game is against Miami.

I've just finished my first My Career season (Athletic PG - 5'11"/177lbs - Houston Rockets - Updated rosters - 10 min quarters - Superstar - Sim) and here are my impressions:

Field goal percentage is just too unrealistic, it's actually OFF THE CHARTS. I've played every 82 games of the season in superstar sim 10min quarters and it's just too much. James Harden finished the season with over .520% from the field and .480% from 3-point land. Daequan Cook has just set a new record for the highest 3-point field goal percentage in a season with .540%. Omer Asik led the league in FG% with almost .700% from the field. My guy is a "take over the game, everytime with the ball" athletic point guard and finished the season with 24.4 PPG / 10.6 APG / 2.3 SPG / 2.0 RPG (pretty poor, i know) / 2.3 TOPG with an amazing .505% FG percentage (.332 from 3-point land) even though I shoot almost every late clock shots for my team. But it's not just me and my team. It's overall. In a matter of fact, the last qualified guy with the lowest FG% in the entire league has finished the season with over .400% from the field and WESTBROOK, yes, Westbrook has finished with .525% (the highest for point guards).

This is just killing the entire game for me, they've gotta patch it somehow. NBA 2k12 used to work a lot better in this matter. =/

I was playing a game against the Clippers with my scoring Point Guard. Suddenly, somewhere during the 3rd quarter, the coach puts me at power forward and then small forward. Since I don't know how to play these positions, my teammate grade dropped from B to a D-. Does anyone know why this might've happened???

Try HOF sim and that might give you realistic stats but id agree either way the FG % is way too high in this mode i can hit 70 % every game which is just unrealistic

After 18 games in 4th season, we are 1st in East and 2nd behind Thunder in league. We are 15-3. I am 1st in league in PPG with 28.4, 1st in Rebs with 13.6, 2nd in Blocks with 2.4, and 1st in All Star votes.

We are on a 5 game WS. But that might change now. We have been without Hubbard for 1+weeks and he is still out for 2-4 weeks, And now Demunyck is injured(but can play) for 1-2 weeks. That means we have no PGs that on the court for 1-4 weeks. Our teams plays differently when they arent on the court. Those 2 PGs are our only other viable scorers on the team. They both averaged over 20 PPG, 6+ APG, and 1+ SPG. We only have 1 other player that averages over 10 PPG(only 11.5). I have 4 key games in the next week. So if I want to win games, I will have to go off.

I just played against the Knicks and it was probably our closest game so far. It was a key game for me since Chandler was injured and Stoudermire moved to Center.
Heading into the 4th we had a 6 point lead, but for some reason we went on a cold streak till about 3minutes left in the quarter. During that period the Knicks managed to build up a 3 point lead. Down 92-89 I made a clutch shot to bring my team within 1. Somebody in the Knicks team (forgot if it was Anthony) missed a shot the next possesion and we grabbed the rebound. I ran a PnR with Rondo and he passed to me the ball as I rolled to the basket. I faked Stoudermire out and did an up and under to give us the lead since early in the 4th 93-92.
They called a TO and gave the ball to Anthony. Knowing that Anthony would cheese and score, and that Rondo will most likely get the ball next possesion and fail to score, I decided to take a risk and double team Anthony (I was afraid that he would pass to Stoudermire and score). Luckily he decided to pass it to Michael Redd who was in their team at that time. He MISSED the potential game winning shot (he stupidly drived into the paint with like 4 players in there) and KG grabbed the rebound.
They fouled him with only 0.3 seconds left and the game pretty much ended (we weren't in the bonus yet when KG got fouled).
It was a tough game for us and man, that was the best win for me so far with the Celtics. I finished the game with 31pts, 17rebs, 3asts, 2stls and 1 blk with 1 TO.

After playing the game I found out that I was selected to be a starter in the All-Star game. But based on my previous experiences with the All-Star game, I bet that I will end up being the 12th man when the All-Star game comes.

Started another mycareer as an athletic PG, got drafted by Hawks at #23. 15 games into the season, I requested a trade to the Knicks because I couldn't stand Lou Williams being a ballhog. Now I am wondering how I can improve the Knicks roster. I would like to trade Amare, or even Tyson Chandler, away for a PF & C with better defense. The question is, which 5 players should I target?
