Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread

Finally got a player that's exactly like me. 6' PG out of NC State. In the showcase I had 12/9/4 on perfect 100% shooting. Interviewed by philly, phx, and hou. All 3 teams are a great fit but I think tha hou and phx need a pg that focuses on passing to let the scorers do what they do best. I got picked 15th by philly.

Every once in a while, when playing on a Laker team, I'll get the Sunday uniform. (The white non-xmas one). There is no rhyme or reason that I can see to it, but it does happen.

got my first quadraple double with rockets in my third season. it was 81st game of the season

          24 pts 25 rebounds 10 assists 1 steal 10 blocks

I didnt try for assists until early in 4th quarter when I had 9 blocks and a chance for quadraple double.

What I've noticed is I have to switch off between all star and superstar difficulties. Because when I play like more then 5 games in a row of superstar it gets more difficult for some reason. My team will lose by 20 then the other team will shoot lights out. Then too much of all star my team blows them out. But if I play a certain amount on each difficulty then the game is great and I don't see too much cheese. A lot of times I can win on superstar and on all star it doesn't get too easy if I don't play either difficulty too often it seems like.

Just broke down and got the game.

Started my career. Curious on a few things.

                1. Does your player automatically retire after completing so many hall of fame milestones? I've heard that, but not sure.

                2. I'm a 7 foot SF on the Blazers. What sort of offenses are good for all-around small forwards? My goal is basically to be a 30 points, 10 boards, 10 assists per game caliber player.

                3. What ratings should I really focus on first?

                Thanks to all that help

Also, is there a point where as a SF, I can eventually be the guy that brings the ball down the court? Like Lebron does

Why would you make a 7 foot SF??

Yeah, so, I was in a surprise when I played The NBA All Star game in MyCareer mode, matching up east vs west. After every game,I always go to NBA. com and see how I'm doing with the All Star votes. First I was on the 8th spot. I kept playing great games. I averaged 43 points, 13.4 assists, 7.3 rebounds, 1.6 blocks, 2 steals. At one time, I saw my player's name on top of the all star votes list. I was happy seeing that. Then, I went to NBA. com after a game on saw my player's name on the All Star starters. I was on the 2 guard position. So, the problem was, when I played the all star, I was in great surprise because I was a 6th man. Monta Ellis took my spot. Not the thing that I've been expecting. Seriously, 2k should really take care of some glitches.

so on average your contributing about 70 points each game ? time to up the difficulty, unless you like big numbers.

about the glitch yeah it happens for everyone, no matter how many years you are in this league, in which my case 3 you don't start the all-star game and i agree with you its ridiculous.

What are some good shooting releases for a left handed player? I'm having trouble finding ones that I actually like

My all around pg didn't work out so I changed to athletic. I plan on developing him into a defensive beast while slowly improving offensively for a more realistic feel to it.

Shot form 27, Base 17 aka the Rainmaker Jumpshot. I use it for my left hand SF.
