I agree. They make almost every endorsement available to be achieved within rookie year. After you've gotten all those and can dominate the league in every fashion there's not much to play for.
There needs to be something more to keep you engaged for 8-10 seasons besides just the hall of fame progress. There's a lot of little things that can be done to extend playability, such as letting us sim the calendar to whichever games we want, letting us use alternate and throwback jerseys, a lot more with endorsements, having endorsement contracts, and real contracts, making it harder to improve your players attributes but at the same time starting your career with a little better attributes. Maybe even making attributes in the game purely dynamic, so your attributes are calculated by your stats and game performance. Letting us switch between endorsements, if I'm a Nike guy why can't I switch to Jordan brand after a few seasons, create more shoes such as all star games, playoffs, Christmas day, etc.
There's a lot they can do to improve the game by just adding a lot of little things.
Even stuff like making 2 or 3 different broadcast types with a 2k, espn, and TNT. Having a local broadcast team come in and record to have multiple announce teams saving the big team for big games, key games and playoffs. Adding practice, summer training, summer leagues, pre season, adding all of all star weekend, make it so we can actually play in the all star game for more than 8 mins.
They just simply need to add some new and more features to help longevity to keep the game fresh. Because hall of fame progress and trying to become friends with all the legends and nba players on twitter is not enough. Even let us actually use twitter if it's gonna be in the game, maybe use it to create rivalries and to recruit free agents, let us view the draft and off season transactions so we know what our team is doing. Have teams trade us without our knowledge if the team feels we are not the right fit.
Just simply make the game more interesting to keep us engaged.
