I'm going to start up a new MyCareer player. With the new roster updates. I currently have a Athletic PG (Like Always) what should my new one be? What have you guys had fun with?

That depends on what you're looking for in your career.

In my experience SF (mine is athletic) is a lot of fun as you have to depend on your teammates a little more than as a PG.
Basically every Position other than Point guard will give you the opportunity to be more of a team player. (Enable run plays and see what your teammates can do.)

I also think that the right team is the most important thing, you need to know if you want to go for a championship right away on a team that is already good and you just want to help them out where you feel they could use some help, or if you want to be the face of a Franchise that isn't good from the start.

Thats a lot more fun than choosing a team where you may take the minutes from a player who is very important for the initial team.

So I would recommend to first look for some team you'd like to play for and then see what they could use and build up your player like that. (Be a scoring SF for the Wizards as an example.)

I'd point you to look at the roster you started with - it sounds like the initial roster is not set up the way it is irl. Also, the initial rotation sounds like a typical 2k rotation...

As far as the Speights over Thompson thing goes, I understand and experienced your frustration. On my Raptor team, the ai plays Ed Davis over: Derrick Favors, Thomas Robinson, and even Bargnagi.

I kept asking for PFs in hopes the ai would trade Ed Davis (Who I just do not play well with) and even told the GM that " I do not get along with" him. He just does not play well when in with me, and for 2 years the GM keeps him and the Coach loves him. I even tried getting Michael Kidd-Gilcrest and Chase Budinger, hoping the ai would trade him but that also did not work.

Well I have the latest official 2k roster so I didn't pay attention to that at all before starting a new career. But still when everything is set to 12 minutes the star player shouldn't be playing just 22 minutes of the 35 he is supposed to play right?

Yeah I had that with the Knicks and Kenyon Martin as well.. We got Kenyon Martin as a FA in the first offseason and because I wasn't really happy with him we traded for Kris Humphries.. Yet Humphries played just 15 minutes off the bench an Martin remained the starter for the entire season, no chance to talk the Coach out of it.

I really think that we need a lot more topics to talk to the GM about, we should be able to at least tell them who should play and who shouldn't. We also should be able to have a little more impact on the minutes (I'm not saying we should be able to control anything and everything but the AI just makes sooo many bad decisions..), I mean after like 30 games you're going to play 44 minutes a game, no surprise that other players suffer from that, and so does the team.
The topics we have right now are, in my oppinion, not effective enough, not regularly (some you only get twice a season or so), and all in all we don't have enough topics to make an impact.

And unless your team is really struggling badly they won't fire the coach.

I'm at the Finals, most surprisingly. I've faced the Heat on the Conference Semifinals and it was a sweep. Their rebounding woes screwed them up. Also beat the 76ers with another sweep and now I'm waiting on the opponent, it's either the Rockets or the Warriors. Golden State lead the series 3-1.

Swept Minnesota for the second straight year to move on the second round with the Warriors. Just played the key games and averaged 46 points and 9 rebounds. Not too bad for simulated game play. We will either play the Rockets or Hornets next.

The following tweets sum up my most recent game against the Heat:

1: Sources within the Raptor organization tell me that @TyCobb did NOT attempt to leave the team after the loss.

2: Would have loved to be a fly on the wall in the Raptor locker room after that loss. You know @TyCobb was letting his teammates have it after blowing that game.

3: Raptors are going have a hard time explaining how they spoiled a 53 point effort by @TyCobb.

Losing by 1 in double overtime.

Any workaround to the MyCareer in-game attributes mismatch?

anyone know a workaround/fix to the bug where your in-game ratings do not match the ratings on the home screen? it's come to a point where I can't ignore it anymore. It's taking away from my enjoyment of the game.

I've read somewhere that getting yourself traded will fix this? Can anyone verify this? As much as I enjoy playing with Warriors and don't want to leave, if it will fix this, I guess I'd have to do it.

Any ideas?

Some tweets are ridiculous. After a game we won against the Heat, I had 42 points, 12 assists, 3 steals and 2 rebs and one tweet said "Hey man, I guess I can get more boards than you do and I am 5'4" or something....

I started key gaming one I got the starting lineup. As far as tendencies go, I believe you can check your player card...

OK I restarted my Athletic Center's career because I wanted to get drafted by the Heat. I fouled out intentionally on the Rookie showcase and thank god Heat drafted me... I had an awesome debut on superstar/simulated (8 mins, 12 sim) with 4 points, 9rebs, 5 assists with 1/3 fg and 2/2 fts. The surprise was that I played 15 minutes. Then, after the game I saw that Bosh broke his toe and he will be out 4-6 weeks. Perfect time for me to step up!

What's up with some dunk packages? I put Side Clutches off two as my go to dunk package, went to shootaround and my guy does the dunk once every 5 tries, otherwise he just lays it up..and yes my rating is high enough to use it.

Any advice?

Very happy! We got the Championship, sweeping the Rockets in the process. Very novel style aswell, as I've been the season MVP for Houston on my rookie year.

Weird (and very irritating) thing tho: Darren Colison, my bench PG, got the Finals MVP award, at least on the ceremony, but I averaged over 30 ppg, 10 rpg, 2.9 blocks and well, it was domination. One more bug...

Anyway, dont feel like staying on the Knicks as we they got rid of Carmelo Anthony. Current line-up for next season is Ty Lawson, O.J Mayo, Caron Butler, Marcus Morris and me. I'm demanding a trade.

Edit - I've been awarded the trophy, but still it wouldve been nice getting it from Bill Russell himself on the ceremony. Stupid stuff.

if you key game a game that is after the asw does it asks you if you want to play in the asw before going to that game ??

That doesn't seem like that bad of a lineup depending on how good your player is. I have Ty Lawson as a PG and he is ok. Can hit a three every now and again.

Yea, but doesnt look that much of a championship team aswell. Morris cant hit for more than 8 pts a game, Lawson is turnover king for me too, Butler aint Melo and Mayo, well, he's the only good addition to the line-up considering we had Raja Bell averaging less than 6 pts per contest.

Anyway, I ended up getting traded to the Lakers, but Kobe Bryant went to the Knicks. Even so, Carmelo Anthony is playing for the Lakers and so are Vince Carter, Pau Gasol, Elton Brand, Steve Nash and Andy Varejao. Lots of depth, except at PG, where a random generated rookie is starting and there's no one to fill in (Nash is injured).
