I'd appreciate it if in next year's(2K14) game the commentators mention how great I am, and that I'm the best player to ever lace em up. I mean, it's clear that I am.

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Hello,
i have a problem with the attributes in MyCareer. My overall is at 92 but when in-game it drops to 85.. Here's a pic to show what i mean
Is there something i can do about it or not? As you can imagine i find it very frustrating...Comment

What do you guys think is the best attribute to upgrade the most. I'm a scoring point guard if it matters...Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Hello all. I just bought the game and I have a question for the DLC. I didn't pre order it so that means I can't get it from anywhere?!?
Also, is it integrated into my Player? If so, does this apply for every year? I mean, do you get to be voted in the all star game and play it every year?
Is it worth the money or should I just start without it?
Many thanks!Comment

Also, you don't need the DLC to participate in the all star game or the rising stars challenge.

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
After my first "career" with an All Around PG I pretty much destroyed the NBA single handedly by requesting players/asking for trades. So instead of relying on the GM to do it for me I did it myself.
After assembling my Dream Team created a 6'6 All Around PG. Tanked interviews to get drafted by my team (which I later found out didnt pick till late 2nd round). Had a couple talks with the GM and after FINALLY getting traded to the Nets 25 games in, my "Dream team" looks like this.
PG- Me
SG- Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
SF- Paul George
PF- Anthony Davis
C- Demarcus Cousins
Bench
Jerryd Bayless
Jeremy Lamb
Wesley Johnson
Jajuan Johnson
Andre Drummond
All other 4 starters are signed 4 year contracts looking forward to a DYNASTY in Brooklyn as long as i get an extension after my 2 years!!Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Its integrated into your myCareer. However I wouldn't recommend spending money on it because it is full of glitches. The dunk contest is ok but better suited as an exhibition between friends. The 3pt shootout is a bunch of bs with horrible mechanics.
Also, you don't need the DLC to participate in the all star game or the rising stars challenge.

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I'm in my 3rd year as a 6 ft 3 SG on the Nets, playing on All Star or Superstar (whichever one is right under HOF) Sim
Was drafted 11th overall by the Blazers. The team was solid for awhile, but that Aldridge went down with an injury for awhile and we kind of tanked. Finished 39-43, missed the playoffs by a game. Actually had a chance to clinch in the last game of the season but got blown out by the Warriors. Won 6th man of the year and made the All-Rookie Second Team.
My second season I got tired of being swapped between starter and 6th man (thought it was just a team issue, didn't realize it was actually a glitch). Demanded a trade and ended up with the Nets (the defending NBA champs). Got the starting job after a few games and had a solid year, averaging just over 15 pts and 5 ast a game. Finished 49-33, entering the playoffs as the 5 seed, beat the Heat 4-1 in the first round, the Bulls 4-1 in the Conference Semis and the Wizards 4-2 in the ECF before falling 4-3 to the Lakers in the Finals.
The team used their option to bring me back after my second season and I proceeded to have my best season, averaging 20 pts, 6 ast, 4 reb and 2 steals (numbers all rounded). We finished 56-26, best record in the East, second in the league only to the Thunder. I was an MVP candidate, but somehow didn't make any of the All-NBA Teams. We swept the Raptors in the first round and now I'm in a battle with the Carmello Anthony led Cavaliers in the conference semis, currently knotted up 3-3. I'm tearing things up in the playoffs, leading all scorers, putting up 30 a game, while also dishing out 7 assists. Having a lot of fun with the game thus far, aside from the offensive rebounding and constantly losing my starting job (even though all I have to do to get it back is complain to the GM, it's still annoying).Comment

I'm slightly frustrated with the broken rotations in this mode. Although we are playing well, our team lacks size and interior defense. We have F Lance Thomas (58 OVR), F Sheldon Forbes (59 OVR) our bust of a draft pick, and G Brian Roberts (64 OVR) combining for 22 mpg, while Andre Drummond (73 OVR) sits on the IR list (though he isn't injured.) In a perfect world, those 3 could just give Drummond those minutes and I'll be content.
I requested Drummond with the hopes of him starting at C and letting AD play his natural position at the 4. Ryan Anderson could come off the bench. Unfortunately it hasn't been that way.
Unrelated, as a die hard Hornets fan IRL, I was ecstatic to see Eric Gordon not only play, but play well (24 pts, 7 asts).

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Part of the issue stems from the fact that this mode was originally tied to online - so the devs had to allow rapid development to get people involved in the whole online thing...
What I would do is seperate online/offline MyCareer players and for those offline players, cap the "improvement" during the season to 5pts each season. (so if you start at 65, the max you can get during the first season is 70). I'd also have the "camps" from Jordan etc, an off-season exclusive thing; and focus only on one stat per year allowable for upgrade that way. To balance it, I'd most likely begin the player character at a higher level than 65, make the starting point between 70 and 75.
Just my thoughts on this issue.Comment

I don't know if you are being sarcastic here or not, but I do feel like this mode treats you like you have Linsanity... You and the "media/marketing" people have a vision of you being the next Jordan heir but the players and announcers are like: "who is this dude and why is everyone focusing on this unproven scrub"... I love all the interaction, but the scale and time-frame in which it happens makes it seem unrealistic to me.
