Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Ok thank you!
Before starting season 2 (we lost 4-2 against Hawks in first round of playoffs), I spend 46.3322VC to upgrade my player.

My overall is more than what I was aiming. I first thought of around 82, then I decided around 85. But I finally have 91, as I can't see my overall when buying. Too bad I can't lower some stats (not having to buy it again after, just adjusting your attributs after you bought it).
I'm thinking of highering (is that word?!) the low post defense, because a guy like Gerald Green in my first year only played in low post and crushed me.
Anyway, I want to be a big player.
Realistic or not, doesn't matter, I want to have fun.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I achieved my second triple-double of my career in my first season against the Twolves (29p, 11reb,10 assists). Gordon had 0 in the first half but in the second he scored 20 points. This guy can be unstoppable!
I have played 45 games in my first season, we are first in the conference, I am ahead in the MVP race... All in the first year! I play on Superstar and every game is a challenge.Comment

Any level of Bruiser is good for a forward and center. Anything that drains stamina is key. Level 2 is not nearly as effective as level three however. The good news is that you CAN get your STR to 95 for the level 3 bruiser! Get your STR to 90 then simply put on +5 STR shoes. The game will consider you having a 95 STR allowing you access to level 3 Bruiser! Then, just put on the shoes you normally wear. I did this with my athletic SF.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I don't bother calling for the ball most of the game because I get my points on put-backs. My SF averages 4-5 per game. I just love pushing everyone on the other team around to the point not one starter is without the Gatorade symbol. The best part is that a team may stick around until the 4th quarter....it is then that all my hard work pays off. Walker penetrated easily. Thomas actually makes shots (I can't stand him btw) and Hibbard (since I start they traded Gil-Crist for him) makes everything. The last game I played the Rockets scored 5 points in the 4th. LOL! 3 point shots when you are gassed....never go in. :-)Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Anybody know if the drills will up you past your cap? I really want to up my block so I can be a chase down artist with my PG, similar to that of D. Wade but I capped out at 60 I think. If I do drills will that get me past 60?Comment

In my experience, the only way to go above the established ceiling for your play-style choice is through equipment - either bought in the MyPlayer store, or making your custom sneakers in the Nike labs.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
OK so I'm definitely going to leave the 76ers.
I still play SG, and I will even play more SG this year (and less PG) because Nick Young has left, Richardson is fading bad so he has less minutes, and Wayns, back-up PG has more minutes.
So Holiday + more minutes for Wayns and me and a fading Richardson as only possibilities for SG means I have to leave if I want to play PG.
Now the question is: should I ask team with a big PG, hoping they will trade this PG against me (I'm 91) or ask a team without a good PG but taking the big risk of seeing a star I'd like to play with leave to the 76ers?Comment

Either or...if you go to a team with a good PG they're probably going to trade their good PG to get you. More than likely...I asked for a trade from the Cavs and didn't choose any teams and they traded me for Russell Westbrook. Needless to say I love it in OKC
But keep in mind that whatever team you go to is going to more than likely trade their star to get you.Comment

99 block PF that can never get blocks. Do I need to be like 8'2" to block a layup in this damn game?
They drive the lane and do a euro step layup that i see all the way. My guy jumps high enough to be forehead level with the rim but he always swings and misses completely.
Point guards always drive the lane a jump right into like 3 people. And Im in a position where there is no way im not blocking it. And they always do a ridiculous pass through my body to the man i left to block the shot. I would be fine with this if every pass they through it around me but each time the pass just morphs through me or a teammates body perfectly.
Also not being able to block dunks is the most annoying thing ever.
But as for blocking layups/floaters/broken shots, I think it's much more about about timing than anything else. My rookie center(7'1) is averaging 2.2 bpg over my 1st 10 games. All I try to do is time the block the best I can. Ofcourse I think I should be averaging about 10 bpg if they'd let me block all the shots I should be, but I'll take what they give me I guess.
