Is there a way to demand or command teammates to shoot a wide open jumpshot or cut to the basket? For instance, it's really frustrating to see Amare Stoudemire set a pick for me and then he decided to take a shot close to the 3 points line.

If you're on xbox and have kinect you can tell them to shoot it through voice command.

I personally keep mine off though as sometimes kinect thinks that what people are saying around me is a curse word or a different defense I'm calling. So I keep mine off

I know Kinect is SUPPOSED to work like that but it is way too slow. I only use it to call plays and defenses. You pretty much just need to use a player how he is programmed. Some are wired to shoot at first...some drive. Anderson on NO is a great Example of this. You do the pick and roll with him but pick the fade option. He will shoot every time if open

My Gm just made a great trade for MKG giving then ryan anderson and a pick. The trade gives us much needed defense and rotation at the 3 spot.

but didn't it hurt your 4 spot?

I don't know if I'd be willing give up anderson AND a pick

how high is the pick?

what's your record?

I'm rocking the pelicans too on HOF sim and we've got the best record at 43-5

so I'm kinda satisfied with our lineup right now

... When I play sg though.....I just can't get the hang of it. ... What the hell do you all do to slow the other guy down? Yes, I still win. Yes, I score a ton and have stats (offensive) better than LeBron....but damn it I do not like being schooled. Maybe that is fine when I was a 64 overall guy but not in the 90's. maybe then the game speed off 100?

When I am matched up against Kobe, Wade, Ellis or a couple of others, I find I can usually shut them down for a max of 3 of the 4 quarters. During their break-out quarter, the most I can do is limit turn-overs, fouls and momentum building lay-ups/dunks. It seems to be the way it is, no matter what I do or don't do.

The last time we played the Lakers, both Kobe and I were averaging right around 30pts, 10 assists and 10 rbs, and I considered it a good game because I was able to basically match what he did. In the real world, all the sports pundits and bloggers would be raving about the Cobb(me) - Kobe rivalry ... you know the drill.

For 3 out of the 4 quarters (in my case, especially against Kobe) I am able to stop him by being his "shadow" as close as I can... it can also be a function of the rosters.. my community roster has Kobe a little more "decayed" then the 2k rosters do and he plays a little more like a 34 year old and not so much a 22 year old.

Defense in 2k13 is even more of an art then 2k12 was... but I do find it extremely rewarding.

Yeah and plus Anderson and Aminu both turn into studs down the line. Anderson comes off the bench and lights it up from downtown. Getting Drummond for that first rounder (late 1st round, Pistons drafted a scrub) turned out to be a steal because it allows Davis to play his natural position

Still working on my PF/C. I don't know if its the way I play, my attributes or what, but I am getting rebounds literally taken out of my hands.

2-3 times during a game I go up for a rebound, got both hands on it and someone, even teammates, will come up and grab the rebound. Other times I go up for the ball and just tip it back up and someone else grabs it.

I really like the game, but there are so many times I get frustrated on some plays. MC is about the only mode I play, so my VC accumulation is extremely slow. Especially when I'm not preforming all that well.

Does off/def rebounding help with getting position under the basket or should I work on building up some other attrib?

The taking it out of your hands is something I see a lot of too. The Scrapper sig skill helps a lot with rebounding. (look at the attributes it increases to see which you should up too). Of course the rebounding attributes help...

Other attributes that help as well: hands, vertical, strength, hustle, awareness

The Bruiser sig skill helps a lot as well, but I find it to be extremely overpowering and will only take the 1st level of it as a house rule.

My bad it was actually a player for player trade and we are 4-18 mainly because we struggle on defense. Davis is lighting it up at 20 and 10 and me and him are leading in rookie fg%

I got the level 1 Bruiser. Heard that level 3 is bugged.

I'm trying to just keep my cool and work my way through it. I've never liked to be overpowered in a video game and be totally dominating from the start. Takes all the fun out for me.

One of the thing that gets me too is I go up for a rebound or block, I tip it or block it, it bounces right back to the guy I'm guarding, he goes up and puts it back in. I stuck with allowing a rebound and letting my man score.

I got tagged last night for having a bad transaction defense. Couldn't do much when I had been shoved on my butt going up for a rebound and there was a fast break going. Another time I got the rebound and then was immediately shoved out of bounds under the rim. Gets tagged for a turnover.

Oh yeah the bucks are back! This time we're the 6th seed against the Brooklyn nets again. I step up my game adding some points into rebounding, and put up 27 pts, 14 rebs, 12 asts, and 5 blocks. This is my defensive 6'9" sg. We take the first game 113-104. Hof def

A trade seems like the best route. In my game, the Magic traded Davis and Vucevic to the Celtics for Jeff Green and someone else, I forget who.

in my 2nd year on the suns i singled out vucevic to be traded for and we got him for a 2nd round draft pick, straight up. howard had resigned in orlando (lol) so guess they didn't really need him.

now i'm just trying to get him to replace gortat and get gortat out of there.

I'm play as a C on HoF/Sim so it's a little different for me but IMO every big should start with:

1. Vertical 90
2. Stamina 80-85
3. Low Post Defense 85-90
4. Bruiser Lvl1 Any higher it really is OP
5. Inside Shot 85-90
6. Standing Dunk 90

After that is up to the user playstyle. I've made 5 or 6 different athletic centers and I've always gotten 10-15 rebounds per game without even touching the Off/Def Rebound attribute, especially after the patch.

The first 4 centers I created without buying VC took 35 to 40 games to start really beasting and at that point my OVR was only around 75-80 but the weird thing about it is this last one I made, I bought the VC and was a 91 before I even played in my 1st NBA game and I STILL SUCKED.

It seems to me that regardless of your OVR rating starting out, the game is programmed to force you to suck cause I couldn't put up double doubles despite being at a 91 until 35 to 40 games in then magically I started to beast again. Idk this game is weird like that but I can't stop playing it.

So I won MVP, Finals MVP and won the Chip and Hornets won't resign me.. Had repeat with them... DAFAQ 2K?? They instead opt to sign Austin Rivers. Now I had to sign with Jazz because they have Al Jefferson, Patrick Patterson, Ibaka, Stoudemire and Ašik and at guards only me and Hayward... So it's gonna be pick and roll all day baby.
