Does anyone else always get double teamed when they post up? I like scoring in the post, but I usually end up passing to the open man since I'm almost always doubled.

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
its annoying and happens to me all the time, once im over 10 pts they double team me unless they have bynum/howard/ant davies defending me. i do take the easy assist for 3-pts though.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
it depends on your team. for new Orleans or bobcats they have 2 rivalry key games per season. also depends on what position you play. I am in my 3rd season as Center and have about 24 key games - a combination of rivalry games plus games against marquee centers.
I think power forwards get low key games against other star PFs IMO.
Also sometimes the game generates key games as the season goes along. it happened to me in my 2nd season but I cant say for sure it will happen in your caseComment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I see a lot of good things playing for the knicks even though we were blown out by 37. I scored 6 and had 11 asts while melo, stoudemire, and chandler all had over 15. I feel we will be dangerous once we build up our chemistry.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I'm currently 1st in scoring(27.9), 5th in rebounding(10.6), 4th in assists(9.1) with 4 games left(1 key game). I would sim to my next key game but for some reason the CPU feels like a player with a 48 3pt rating should take multiple 3s a game.Say "No" to railroaded MC modes.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I think my PF can have a breakout season in his 4th season with a new team. If that new team is ORL, then I have to set the pace in the 1st few games myself. The PGs there shoot the ball alot. I can control that in games. But, I cant control that in simulated games. If I just rely on key games, then I will continue to average 14-17 PPG. I havent played more than 5 Min Quarter in a while. I have been able to score over 15PPG, but rarely got over 8 rebs in 5 min quarters. Another team is a team with a new rookie PG. But, a sleeper team is the Celtics. Rondo is about 28. Pierce just retired and Garnett probably retire too.
My idealistic team is a team with a need for PF/C, that has a young defensive PG that can pass, and that has 3pt shooters. So far ORL is the team that best fills that mode. They have 2 young defensive PGs(not elitle). One of the team is a better passer, but both shoot the ball alot. They do have Afflalo, they should also should have a top 5 pick to add another shooters. Even though I am leaving NOH because they have too many scorers, I need someone to pass it to since I always get doubled when I post up. I am considering BOS because of Rondo. With Pierce and Garnett(should be) retiring, I should be the leading scorer without a doubt. But, they dont have anyone I can pass it to when I get doubled and Rondo is 28. Both of the PGs in ORL are 23 and under and with a top 5 pick, they are my 1st choice.
I will try to win the title in my last season with NOH. We have been playing well in key games. As long as we dont down 3-1 or worse, I think we have a legit shot.Comment

That is what I am basing my decision on. I want to go to a team that has a PG with high potential.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Probably some of them degressed since I am in my 3rd season. I can remember all of the games I played in reg season. I played Clips 3 times(Griffin was hurt in other game). I play CHI twice because Gibson became star. I played ATL once, because other game got simmed over.
Another thing is that alot of the star PFs are starting at Center.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
SF has to be one of the best positions for key games. One month in my rookie year I had about 10 key games.
And I would have to presume PGs as well. Never played the position yet. As a starter at least.Comment

Does anyone know if the 'ask the GM for an extension glitch' still apply when you sign with your new team after your 3rd or 4th year?

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
My Celtics were up 3-2 against the 76ers in the first round of the playoffs when I simmed to the next key game. I managed to win Game 6 to allow my Celtics to advance to the Conference Semi-Finals with a 23pts, 14r, 1a and 3blks effort.
Next round will be up against the Heat. I doubt we will win the series; I think the Heat swept the season series against us. I got a feeling that we might be swept now as well.
Other playoff series:
HOU vs OKC - HOU won 4-2
MEM vs DEN - MEM won 4-1
LAL vs UTA - Tied 3-3
LAC vs MIN - Tied 3-3
MIA vs DET - MIA won 4-2
BOS vs PHI - BOS won 4-2
NY vs MIL - MIL won 4-1
CHI vs BKN - BKN won 4-2
This are my first round averages:
First 5 games (simmed): 11ppg, 10.6rpg, 1.2apg, 0.8bpg, 0.4spg, 1.4tpg, 55FG%, 84FT%.
Total: 13ppg, 11.1rpg, 1.2apg, 1.2bpg, 0.3spg, 1.5tpg, 60FG%, 88FT%.Last edited by InvizTJ; 12-23-2012, 10:22 PM.Comment
