Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I don't know, I LOVE to rebound with wings. 6-5 guy skying over everyone for rebounds. Especially if you max vert, the weakside shot blocking with a small guy is incredibly fun. I'm guessing that's what it must feel like to be DWade in real life
Just doesn't feel the same with big guys. Even with my 6-10 SF it's no fun.
Is there a reason why we don't get VC back after retiring? I haven't retired anyone, but it seems down right logical to give a percentage (say 60-80%) of what you spent back. Kind of stingy of 2k.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I "supposedly" have 1 key game left in season. A couple key games got simmed over. I didnt have many key games this season. But 1st 2 seasons, I had to play ALOT of extra key games toward the end of season .
I want to sign with ORL because they have 2 good young PGs and my PPG should increase with less scorers on team. But, I will consider another team if they have a good Rookie PGComment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Just finished my rookie season with my 74OVR 7'0" All-Around C (drafted 9th by DET; traded to NOH then BOS). Played on All-Star difficulty + 10min quarters on Sim sliders.
I won ROTY, won rebounding title (led league in offensive rebounds as well), made it to the All-Rookie First Team and All-NBA Second Team and was an All-Star.
Season Averages:
18.3ppg, 10.2rpg, 2.9orpg, 0.8apg, 0.4spg, 1.0bpg, shot .671% from the field, shot .760% from FT line, 1.6topg
The Celtics managed to finish with a .524 (43-39) record, good enough for the 4th seed in the East. That was our highest win percentage all season. We were .500 a lot of times. Being the 4th seed surprised me, I thought we would be the 6th-8th seed. We ended the season with a 3-game win streak. I keyed game most of the time, but I had to stop key gaming one time and played about 7 straight non-key games to bring my team back to .500 after staying below .500 for about a week or two.
I won't be aiming for a championship this year, considering the bad chemistry we have (our chemistry is a league-low 63%). I hope the Celtics can sign good players next year. Considering our record, it's unlikely we will get some good rookies.
First round will be up against the 76ers. I'm going to key game the playoffs since I'm not going for the ring.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I am done with the 3rd regular season with my PF. I think I only have 6-8 key games this season. I just wanted this season over with. I just want to go in FA. I avged 14.5 PPG, 9.1 RPG, and 2.2 BPG. I lead the league in blocks. We are 3-2 in 1st rd against Minn. I wont play the playoffs much. But, we do have a legit chance for a title. As long as we dont go down 3-0 or 3-1 in a round, I think we can win it this year.
My 1st choice in FA is ORL. They have 2 good PGs. I should be able to increase my PPG and RPG. Since we have alot of legit scorers on NOH, my FGA is lower. Main gripe about ORL is both of the PGs shoot the ball alot. Demunyck was 6th in scoring, but he shot the ball almost 100 more times than anyone else in league. My other choice in FA is a up-and-coming team that has a new rookie PG(with high potential) and poor starter at PF & Center. Me leaving NOH, would result in Anthony Davis starting again.
Even though I only play key games. When I start my 4th season with new teams, I will play the first couple of games. I want to set the pace for my stats. I want to average over 20 PPG, 10 RPG, and 2+ BPG.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
It doesnt show key games until you get to be the starter on your team. DO NOT next key game right now because it will sim to the end of your rookie season.Comment

I am a starter already. I had plenty of key games until I got to January and now I don't have any.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
it depends on your team. for new Orleans or bobcats they have 2 rivalry key games per season. also depends on what position you play. I am in my 3rd season as Center and have about 24 key games - a combination of rivalry games plus games against marquee centers.
I think power forwards get low key games against other star PFs IMO.
Also sometimes the game generates key games as the season goes along. it happened to me in my 2nd season but I cant say for sure it will happen in your caseComment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
After 18 games for the rockets, I have been traded to NYK for ronnie brewer. I really think I'm going to stay here because I can be a true pg and focus on setting up my teammates. I will post how my 1st game went against miami.Last edited by CourtVision5; 12-23-2012, 10:05 AM.Comment
