Nope that glitch still happens. You would've had to wait until rhe offseason to resign with your team...

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread

Just had a great game with my PF against Celtics. It was the 1st game in over a month and a half where both of the PGs on our team was healthy. I had 53 pts, 16 rebs, 6 assists, and 4 blocks. But this game was about my teammates stepping up. Coming to this team, I knew we would only have a few scoring options. Hubbard had 16 pts and 3 assists(8 TOs), Demunyck had a great second half and ended with 16 pts and 11 assists, but I was glad that Mo Harkless provided 17 pts(7-8) and 3 blocks. Hubbard and Demunyck is usually consistent, but those are only scoring options. We need Harkless to be a consistent 12+ pt scorer.

We are 33-17. I avg 23.2 pts, 10.4 rebs, 2.1 blocks, 65 FG%. I got selected to my 1st All Star Game. I am 5th in MVP voting. During last month I was able to ask for trade suggestions. I mainly chose scorers since it was a need. I also asked for a backup PG because our only 2 PGs start and get injured at times. We traded for the PG. It was my last option. We needed a extra scorer more, but it was also a need. With Afflalo being out for season, we only have 1 other guard and it is a generated bum. I am hoping in the offseason we can sign a good player. We have 15 mill in cap space and all of our players(besides 1 who is retiring) are signed throughout next season.

        Need help here, ath. SF.

After 30 games with Hornets we are doing good... Im averaging 16ppg, 6,8rebs and 6 assists in 8min games. However I need to change my game, I want to dunk on people! My dunk is at 80, I have standard dunk packages (haven't bought any sig dunks). Do you recommend me upgrading my dunk? I have vertical at 99 and its really helping me with rebs and blocks too... Also, what sigs should I take? I was thinking about Finisher.

The Post: Even when you are early in a career you should be able to dominate on the block. Heck, when I play pg I take my guy down there because of how easy it is to score. How to do it: NEVER do a full move until your stills are up. Instead, go to the block and get into position with the ball. Start a post move. As you go half way stop the action (let up on the stick) and then start it up again immediately. I shoot around 70% in the post. Doing fadeaways and such put you at the mercy of the game code.

          THEE...BEST SIGNATURE SKILL for sf,pf,c
You sell your soul to get BRUSIER up to level 3 as fast as you can. Once up, your team will almost never lose. It is actually quite broken. As a big man with this skill....I basically dominate every single player I go against. LeBron...Durant...Anthony...it does not matter. The first or second time I back them down in the post you will see the Gatorade cup show up under their guy. This happens in the first min or two in every game on HoF level. They I play average def on them because they will be clanking everything. As this is happening I running into everyone on the other team using picks or trying to get switched onto them. On average, on Simulation/HoF...the opponent shoots around 38% from the field.

Also, because BRUISER gases the other guy so fast he starts to get really REALLY SLOW. THEN I make LeBron look really bad. I am 34-2 with the Bobcats, we win by an average of 24 pts (10 min qtrs...again..HoF). Mind you, this is my rookie season but I average (played every game..will sim when stats are higher): 25 ppg/15.6 rpg/8 apg/2.5 tpg/31 mpg. Don't ask about steals or blocks as I have never figured out this stupid game with those so I just play good defense.

Not trying to brag. Just pointing out what anyone can do having the BRUSIER skill even in your rookie year.

If you intend to drive to the basket or post up a lot, finisher is AWESOME(along with a high Shoot in Traffic).

I think your dunk is high enough. Make sure you max quickness as that let's you make your moves fast....aka clear lane to the basket.

See my post above: max out STRENGTH (90 for ath sf), then put on +5 dunk shoes which will bring it to 95 allowing you to get the last level of Bruiser. You will thank me a million times for this. It is better than lockdown defender because of what it does to those you guard.

I have my Dunk at 99, but that's only because I copped some VC after I used some extra MS points I had and wanted to get rid of (Will never actually pay for VC). I would say that I didn't really see a big difference in my dunks (Was originally ~85) And once you get 90, I think you're set on every good dunk package you can buy. Forreal I would say its up to you, but if you plan on buying better dunks, then just raise it, but from what I experienced, going anything higher than 90 is just a waste of VC imo. In terms of Sig Skills, I would definitely say Posterizer is a must for a dunker. I don't know how many times I would assume my character is just gonna do a contacted layup and I see posterizer go off and he just bangs on the defender. I even made KD catch the holy ghost once off a contact dunk. Finisher is also another skill I found very useful. I think I seen it go off once alongside posterizer too, so it looks like they both mesh together. For the rest, I'd honestly say choose whatever you feel helps your game. I have Posterizer + Finisher + Deadeye + Chasedown (I plan on changing this up for closer soon to show how my char has developed that killer instinct needed to close out games) + Shot Creator. I chose those because I usually play the perimeter, try to set the defender off and either go in for the contact dunk (posterizer + finisher) if the defender falls for the hesitation or try to get myself open for the jumper (Deadeye + Shot Creator) if he doesnt bite.

Thanks so much guys for the answers, it helped a lot!
My main problem is that I struggle while driving to the basket. I don't know many dribble moves yet and even if I get passed the defender and expect to dunk, my guy decides to just make his life difficult and he loses a layup... Should I upgrade any specific attribute?

Created Chuck Davis, 6'10" athletic PF out of Alabama. Went for 12 and 7 in the showcase, then got drafted by HOU. After 4 games we're 2-2 and I'm up to 23 mins/gm. Can't wait to get the endorsement option, HATE the 2K generic sneakers with a passion.

Before starting I went and did some "tweaks" to the roster. Gave guys like CP3/Dwight multi-yr deals, and did some adjusting to some ratings but a lot of tendencies. Raised Harden's shot tendency, decreased several LAL players' defensive tendencies, raised guys like Prigioni, Pekovic, just various tweaks to try and mirror real life (my old PG career had LAL at like 43-9 and the Bobcats in the top 3 smh), fixed accessories and sneakers to my liking. It has really made a difference so far.

Love playing with Harden, thru 4 he is avg'ing 39ppg and 6apg. He just goes sick on everybody. He gave ATL 48, with 39 at the end of 3. Lin not so much, he always tries to do too much and it gets very frustrating. I'm playing a lot at the 3 but that's fine for now as I intend to eventually get the PF spot later.

Really enjoying being a PF and not always getting touches and having to facilitate everything. I kinda just find my spots here and there. It's a nice dynamic battling down low for boards and playing defense. As a PG I often felt like a complete spectator on D, due to not being able to affect shots down low. Now though, I'm getting at least 2 blocks helping off my man, and I'm able to contest and alter shots inside, as opposed to my old PG MyCareer where I would have to watch from the perimeter as my teammates allow easy buckets.

Lotta fun so far. Not missing my PG as much as I thought.

I have have to agree with Holiday. Playing the bigger guys is more fun in that you don't have to facilitate everything. I have the Brick Wall sig only because I love what it does to the opponents. Hey, we all can score 30+ EASY when our stats are up. That gets old ImO fast. I so much more enjoy playing a 22-25 ppg guy who grabs tons of rebounds and is feared by the other team. On my Bobcats I am at 25 but then we have three others above 10. I will say I am very much looking forward to giving my recommendation for trades. Gordon is our only 3 pt threat but he is terrible on D. Want to steal Thompson from Golden State. That guy can plain old shoot and he is tall. Now, if I can just figure out how to make the coach put Kidd-Gilkrist in for the 'great off the bench only' tyrus....I would be a happy camper.

Ok, who do you hate having on your team? Who do you love?

                          LOVE:
-Tristin Thompson: great spot up shooter
-Tyson Chandler: pass first, great D guy who never misses a dunk
-Kid-Gilchrist: great rebounder, passes to open guy..rocks as teammate
-Love: great rebounder and can hit the 3.
-Lawson: just freakish-fast and fun to play with.

                          HATE
-Robinson (Bulls): short and never saw a shot he did not like.
-C. Anthony: great scorer but all his plays are isolations. Very annoying
-D Rose: his attempts to drive take forever. Very annoying
-Tyrus Thomas: Because he starts on my team and he misses all my passes
                          -Linn: see Robinson above
-Gordon: when he is on...amazing...when off..keeps shooting. Horrible on D
-Wade: just because I hate the Heat in RL LoL
                          -Westbrook (See Rose above)

Here is my 1st report on my Toronto Raptor Campaign. ( SS/Sim, PG)

Toronto Raptors 2013: Team Motto: 3K or Bust! - I figure we'll make the playoffs by the year 3000.

Team Record: 9-17 (We are very competitive against the Cavs and Bobcats!)

Team OVR: 73 (not much you can say about this but: ugh!)

Team Salary Cap: -11m ( Landry is a bust and now an anchor)

                            Team Rotation:

                            PG: Kyle Lowery
                            SG: Ty Cobb(me)
                            SF: Demar DeRozan
                            PF: Ed Davis
                            C: Javale McGee
                            6M: Jose Calderon
                            7M: Landry Fields
                            8M: Chase Budinger

Signifigant Transactions of 2013 so far:

Trade: Timberwoves trade Chase Budinger to Raptors for Dominic McGuire and '14 2nd round pick

Trade: Nuggets trade Javale MCgee to Raptors for John Lucas and '13 1st round pick

                            Identified Needs:

                            Rebounds and Defense

                            Trade Targets:

PF: Rebounder/Scorer - Ideally Keven Love type of player.

                            Commentary:

This is my first year and as you can see, it is going about as expected. DeRozan and Bagnagi(sp) are huge disappointments and the AI will not put Budinger in starting line-up yet - he is our best 3-pt threat.

The AI asked for trade suggestions twice so far - and picked up McGee and Budinger! Let's hope I get asked so I can focus on a PF.

Bottom Line: Yes, we suck, but at least I'm having a blast.

So after a terrible season before the all-star break, we've come back strong after a deal with memphis that got us Jared Bayless and a 2k CAP for Avery Bradley and Fab Melo. Bradley may have been good defensively, but the AI is terrible with him and Fab Melo barely got any minutes as he had to share with another CAP Center. This moves Danny Green up from sixth man to starter and he seems to like his minutes. Since the break, we've gone 7-4 and the team is really picking up. We're around 21-45 at this point, but at the rate we're playing, we could end up winning all thru march and end up just a few games below.500.
