This isn't exactly MyCareer related but just had an interesting loss on blacktop.



I don't know if he was trolling us or he seriously plays like that but if I somehow manage to get 19 boards in a blacktop game that one usually goes into the W column. I don't normally care about blacktop but this was one of those fun cheese-free, pg actually passes the ball games that should have been an easy win.

Hi, everyone.

I finally made an account on here because I need to vent my frustrations and perhaps receive some advice. MyCareer mode is not going smoothly at all. I play every game and am on a wavering .500 Hornets because I play on Hall of Fame and am constantly losing to teams shooting 60%-65% from the field when they play me.

My starting 5 is myself (99 On-Ball defense, Lockdown Defender signature skill), Andre Iguodala, Rudy Gay, Ryan Anderson, and Tyson Chandler. Both Chandler and I have Defensive Anchor, and Iggy/Gay are pretty darn good perimeter defenders. The point being we have a solid defensive squad. Nevertheless, the opposing team seems to have no problem scoring on us. Over about 15 games so far, KD has dropped 54, Kobe has dropped 47, and Monta Ellis has scored over thirty points twice. All of this has been done on fairly efficient shooting. I do a fairly decent job limiting my match-ups, but that may only be because I guard point guards and whatnot.

My question is, is this normal? I strive for an accurately simulated NBA experience, and it's quite extraordinary for teams to be breaking the 100-point mark by the end of the third quarter. If this is happening to you guys as well where the CPU just doesn't seem to miss at all, then fine by me. Otherwise, is there something I can do to maybe change this up? And no, I don't want to turn down the difficulty.

6'1" Pg (used to be pass-first, but in adapying to my first team I became more of a shooter. Currently on the Spurs as an all-around pg now, and I was wondering what Sig Skills I should have equipped?
I currently have:

Spoiler

Deadeye
Spot Up Shooter
Shot Creator
Gatorade Pack
Floor General, equipped.
I also have Closer which I'll put in for something in the playoffs. Any suggestion on what skills to get?

I love an hate this game at the same time. I pushed through the frustration of missing layup after layup after layup while I was working on my layup, shot close and inside scoring ratings. Now they are all in the 90s and I have no problems scoring inside. The grading system seems more difficult (very hard to get an A+). As usual, you get penalized more than you get rewarded. They take off an inch when your man scores. Bull****. What if I'm matched up against KD or Kobe? They should adjust how much they deduct according to who scored on you. Sometimes I find myself playing PF and I'm a 6'3 190 lb PG for Portland. A team with LaMarcus Aldridge and JJ Hickson puts me at PF in spurts. Ridiculous. I would love to play in the backcourt with Damien Lillard, that dude is dynamic. I would really rather play point but I would play off the ball if it means more minutes for him. Me and LaMarcus Aldridge are a NIGHTMARE on pick and roll now because my player is improving. We have a record of 40-9 (almost at the allstar break) and we are the team to beat. I'm playing with so much confidence now because I can get to anywhere I want on the court and I'm only a 79 overall. I'm gonna be unstoppable when my overall rating gets into the 90s. The one thing that has plagued me though, since 2k11 is turnovers. Mostly bad passes. This game needs total control passing

After a 2week or more break from 2k, I finally ended up back in my MyCareer and finished my 4th season.

Rebounding was bad for my team last year so I was interested to see if it would get better this coming year and so far after 3 games I have seen improvement.

Batum is off the team now and with the Lakers, Kobes still playing lol and my team (Blazers) still keeps drafting PF's but they did get a SF this year even though he's a 54. Iggy took his player option which I love but he's making 14M which hurts any chance of signings/trades.

Millsap is on his final year, dunno if we will resign him and not sure if Iggy will get a new deal so if both of them hit the FA I wonder who we would get from the FA.

And lastly KD signed with the Suns.

I was watching some D-Rose highlight and comeback mixes yesterday and it mad me want to start a new PG my career save. So I did.

Interviewed by Detroit, Toronto (where I wanted to go) and NOLA. Went 8th to the Raptors. Got most of my buckets in the showcase by creating my own shot and driving to the rack. Want to make my guy in the same mould like D-Rose/Westbrook/Wall as Rose is probably my 2nd favorite point guard after Kyrie. With DeRozan and Gay and a possible great Center in Valanciunas, I'm hoping we can take Toronto to the top. I might try and push a trade through to get rid of Bargnani depending how he plays or Lowry.

That was my first bucket as a Raptor. Bringing back Air Canada.

We have started 2-1. Gay scored 26 in the first game then went down injured. Beat the Nets and DeRozan scored 26 as well. Just come of a blowout to the Timberwolves. Things are looking good though. Im averaging This team is exciting. I'm averaging 13 pts on 55% shooting in just over 15 minutes.

EDIT: Dropped to 2-2 after a loss in OKC. KD Dropped 46 and Westbrook 23. Can never seem to beat them at home in MyCareer and KD always goes H.A.M.

My Trail Blazers are currently 36-23. We just bottled it against the Bobcats, losing 87-86. I got double teamed on a full court trap with 20 seconds to go and I had to throw the ball away, it ended up out of bounds. Walker scored a bucket and then the ball got delivered to me in time to make the go ahead basket but once again I got double teamed with a few seconds to go and had to throw a bad shot.

Not the best feeling after the match but I've brought this record up by myself, so whatever. We're sitting comfortably at the 4th spot, just 3 games behind 3rd place. I've also won the dunk contest, finished runner up in the 3 pt contest, got named the MVP for the Rookie-Soph game with over 50 points. Didnt get the start for the All-Star game but managed 19 points off the bench (played 10 minutes).

How many turnovers and rebounds?
The thing is I really want to go to the Raptors as well, I've tried it like 5 times in a row, so I just have to keep trying

I got the Portland GM to trade JJ Hickson for DeAndre Jordan. They have the same overall in my career but Jordan is so much better at defense and he fights for offensive rebounds.

JJ Hickson had posterizer but never dunked... and now im throwing lobs to DeAndre every game. I feel like we got the better part of that trade.

I am thinking about starting a Otto Porter MyCareer. I have an idea where I want to go and that is 10th to the Hornets, because they need someone at SF position but it'll be hard to get picked 10th as I'm not that good. Any help to make Otto Porter more realistic would be nice.
