Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I'm so done with 2k13 MyCareer. I don't get it. My player is literally maxed out in 3pt shooting(and EVERY other rating for that matter) and he is awful at 3's. I am 0 for my last 14 3s over a span of 4 games and I'm 7 for 29 in the entire playoffs and im now in the WCF. The three point shot has always been a staple of my game. But now it's gone. Does anybody else have this problem? I know it probably seems like I'm a 3 pt cheesier angry at the game because terrible shots aren't falling but now I will not shoot threes unless I'm wide open and they still will not go in.
But the thing is, I can make 3s perfectly fine on other myplayers. Made a 3pt spec SG. I made EVERYTHING in the rookie showcase. 40+ pts, 10+ 3s. But I deleted that player shortly after because I hated being a one-trick pony. My ath PG can make 3s, at like 85 maybe. At least make half of them. But with an all around SF, nothing.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Been having similar problems. My 3 is only at like 82 or something, I really don't want it higher so I don't make stupid shots where im swarmed. I leave it at 80 so I can hit wide open shots, but for some reason I just cant, it barely hits the front of the rim(literally). For some reason when im wide open for the 3s it give me an A- grade for the shot. Im on superstar(or allstar.. the one before HoF) so I understand ill miss a shot or two, even the CPUs miss, but not going like 0-15 in 3 or so games. Im not jacking the threes, the only threes I take are generated plays that leave me wide open.

Might just be your release, never trust the shot meter.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I'm really enjoying this game but I have some critiques about it. 2k13 is a great game and this years my career mode is my favorite out of 2k10, 2k11, 2k12, and 2k13. For those of you who play on superstar difficulty or hall of fame do you ever get a blow out win? I've played about 45 games so far this season and I've only blown out a team like 2 or 3 times. Every win I get is almost always a 3-8 point win. I know this is superstar and hall of fame difficulty but i should get some blow out wins at least against the bad teams since my team is a contending championship caliber team. Plus every game I play each team gets over 100 points. Each team shoots any where from 53-60%. There is too much offense in this game and not enough defense. Almost every game is an offensive onslaught. The shooting for next year's game needs to be tweaked. And just because someone is wide open doesn't mean the shot should always go in. I would love to have some of those defensive grind it out games. Where two defensive teams battle it out in the 70s or 80s. Way too much offense in this game. Another thing is the passing is too easy in this game. Lately as a SF I've been averaging 12 assists a game. I've seen some people in here average over 20 assists a game. I can pass to my big man right under the hoop and the ball will go right by the defenders down low. Plus since everyone shoots the ball so incredibly well every game it's too easy to get assists in this game. Also there are way too many offensive rebounds for both teams. My team and the other team can sometimes combine for 30 offensive rebounds a game. And have you guys ever gotten injured? My player has never had the slightest of any kind of injury ever! I'm in my 4th season and I've never had an injury. I've seen some people on this forum say they've been through 8 or 10 seasons and they've never had an injury. Our players should be more injury prone. Well that's what I want to improve in 2k14. I love this game and will keep playing it until October when 2k14 comes out but they really need to critique these things.Last edited by Maurice123; 05-23-2013, 03:31 PM.Comment

I'm making a new my player...
wondering if anyone's made a beast on Defense? Like a versatile defender (pref. SF) who can guard smalls and bigs. If you have, can you tell me what height / weigh / player type / sig skills you used ? thanks.Comment

But I also learned that peoples problems with this game vary depending on what team your on. For example I had a tough time getting assists because the team I'm on has no jump shooters whatsoever and so guys would either attack the basket and miss there shot or just pass the ball back to me. Plus the big men we did have weren't very big so getting them to finish in traffic was tough. Plus we allowed waaaay too many points in the paint. But the teams I was on before had good jump shooters and decent sized big men so we could allow less points per game and I could get more assists because he had a decent amount of shooters.Lakers

If you are on PC or Xbox you may use REDitor or Lefto's tool to edit the hotspots and tendencies attributes. I made my PG a threat this way and gave him a 3-pt hotspot so that if he is in that area and he takes an open 3, he can now make it.Comment

How games do you guys play each season? So far I've been playing 50 games each season and key gaming the rest. But now I'm gonna be key gaming more so I can get my career done before 2k14 comes out.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
The MyPlayer Hotspots and Tendencies are determined by your play-style. One reason that your SF is not making the 3's like your PG and SG is those Hotspots.

I don't know if that's a mod your talking about, but I'm not gonna worry about it this late in the game. I just hope we can edit hotspots/tendencies next yearComment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Just reached the Finals with my All-Around SG. I'm still a rookie and got drafted to the Nuggets. Just beat the Thunder in 7 games. I'm gong to start game1 against the Heat tonight. I'm enjoying My Player better this year than last year.
But 2k really needs to fix when you set a screen your play breaks bug for next year. It's annoying. I would also like summer league to comeback.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
What would be the best team to pull out of the ground? Like AI backpacking those garbage Philly teams. Have a small forward on the suns, but they have just under an 80 ovr without my guy, so it just doesn't seem right(plus dragic pisses me off). I wanna use a PG this time, so I did and got drafted to the magic, which I think should fit the bill, but want a second opinion. Bobcats have Kemba, so as a PG it seems pointless. Hornets have Gordon and Davis.. But that's it. Plus I tend to watch Chris smoove on YouTube so I don't really want to do the same as him. So Orlando seems to be the best place, right?
Again just looking for a second opinionComment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I have a question
Do you guys play realistic and move the ball around or do you guys just ball hog and fill up the stat sheet in a selfish way meaning try to score everytime you get the ball
I will post MyCareer either after this Heat and Pacers and or tomorrowLOUISVILLE
