That right there is what is wrong with the sim engine.

In my 1st MyCareer the Nets made the Finals and beat the T-Wolves 4-3.
In my 2nd MyCareer the Pacers won the NBA finals.

Playoffs wise 2k needs to be smarter. No way Miami/OKC don't make a deep playoff run.

I like how it's random but it is too random.

I think its because Beasley is one of the best players in the game for some reason. Hes averaging well over 20 ppg in my game.

Is there an editor out that would allow me to play with rotation/rosters in MyCareer mode?

I have a constant urge to change the rotation and/or trade for players.

I've found a "Sort of" way to futz with the rotation by changing player's positions with something I found called "NBA 2K13 roster editor," but it's limited.

Yes it's called Reditor but unfortunately you must buy it to edit rosters/rotations

Alright, so my Center was on PHX my rookie year, and we finished 7th in the West, but made it to the WCF and lost 2-4 to the GSW. Anyways, I get to my second season hoping we made some serious acquisitions, but all we did was pick up Andre Iguodala. So I play a month or so with them and get destroyed twice by the GSW, so noticing that nothing changed with our team for the better, I requested a trade. The Knicks are always going to be my primary option(I want all my players to play for the Knicks, and I'm happy the Knicks have a 1st round pick this year so I can purposely get drafted by them, assuming 2K14 will be like that), but I added a couple of other teams as well that I thought would be a good fit for my center. I think they were Brooklyn and Orlando. Moving on, I get traded to MIA for LeBron and Bosh, and they sent G. Dragic with me. So I didn't want to play with MIA at first, because while playing with them with Battier at the 4-spot, and Walter Ray Allen at the 3-spot, we were getting abused on the boards aside from my a D-Wade's rebounding, and also they couldn't guard their assignments. So after a couple of failed trade requests and about a month and a half of my season with MIA, I think I'll just stick it out with them. I believe I can with them to a championship. But we'll see.

I just can't take this anymore.

Anyone who calls this game "sim" needs to watch basketball. This game is absolutely horrid when it comes to playing like a real game. It's an animation contest, nothing more. If I'm driving to the basket, my only hope is to get the right animation to make the basket. If I'm on a fast break with 99 speed and 99 quickness, how does the CPU beat me down to the basket to trigger the animation where I flop around in the air with no foul called instead of dunking on someone because I don't have the posterizer sig skill cuz my dunk rating is only 70?

When I'm shooting a wide open 3 pointer I have to hope I get the animation to get a quick release because sometimes it takes me a half a second longer to shoot, and i can't pass out of the shot either, so i get my shot blocked and the CPU goes down for a dunk at the other end.

Or how about when I'm going for a steal in the passing lane and my player moves in the OPPOSITE DIRECTION than where my left thumb is pressing because otherwise I'd get every pass, I get that... but then that puts me COMPLETELY out of position on defense(not that defense is great in this game either) and my guy goes down for a score?

When he DOES blow past me, my bigs are like statues, they don't move. Or when I hit L1 to call for help he runs RIGHT PAST him and results in a WIDE open layup. This is especially frustrating against players like Westbrook or Parker because that's literally all they do is drive to the hoop.

If there was a way to have your help defenders actually help. Your Teammates to cut to the basket, or catch and shoot when they're WIDE OPEN instead of running and attempting a midrange shot in front of 3 people, this game would be outstanding.

But there's just too many smh moments that it kills all immersion in the game and makes you shake your fist at the developers EVERY TIME.

Why do we have to play a 75% awesome game year after year? Can we just get a SOLID game for once? Without all these HUGE gaping holes in the experience?

And then don't get me started on the contract extension glitch. The fact that this game has been out almost a year now and this hasn't been fixed is downright offensive. I lost a 96 overall PG because I wanted to stay with my team. **** you 2K.

Other gripes:

horrible rotations. Being subbed out for 20 seconds and the CPU goes on a 10 point run. playing PF as a SG or PG. players not being subbed out when they're dog tired and being a liability late in the game.

no coaching defensive or offensive adjustments.

calling a timeout while down 1 with 6 seconds to go after getting a huge defensive stop and coming down with the rebound to set up a play on the opposite end and getting subbed out. (coach: WHAT ARE YOU DOING ?!?! me: SAVING YOUR ***!!!) only to watch the last 5 seconds in horror as your teammates obviously brick the shot that you could have taken at the hoop instead of midrange with 3 people in his face.

GM conversations literally doing nothing when talking about other players unless you're giving them more minutes. Sometimes, I literally just don't want this person on my team.

No sliders.

My whole career is gone. Says there is no career on file. But my player is still there with all the vc I've earned. I hadn't played it in months.

Been slowly raising my 3 pt shot. Been practicing in shootaround. Finally thought it was dropping enough when uncontested to try it in real games.

Played the Rockets. They sagged way off me as I stood on the 3 point line.

Later in the 4th quarter...standing all alone at the 3 point line...

So my sg has a 95 overall and 3 sig skills yet I'm not considered a star. How do you become classified as a star?
