I've attempted to find an answer for this in here, and elsewhere online, but to no avail. In My Career, how does one get traded to the team they prefer? I've tried this 3-4 times in the past few weeks, requesting whatever team I'm drafted to for a trade to the Cavs (I'm a SF), but I'm always traded elsewhere, even when the Cavs are one of the teams listed in the "Teams Interested"...I've tried listing 3 teams, with the Cavs first...which got me traded to to my 2nd listed team, and I've also tried listing only the Cavs...which somehow got me traded to the Pistons....What's the deal?

Same boat you were in except wanted to go to Orlando. Got traded to 2 other places before I put on a Magic uniform. I didn't list a 2nd or 3rd team I wanted to go to, not sure if that helps or not, either way good luck!

GM's actually try to get the best deal possible for themselves this year

What is the criteria to get your GM to ask you which players around the league the team should trade for? 2nd season in and my team (Magic) are 14-45 lol ><

Do you have the " im tired of losing " option ? if not i believe you get it somewhere around ASW

GM's actually try to get the best deal possible for themselves this year

I suppose that is realistic, which I'm fine with...but it'd be nice if they would at least trade us to the team we list though...

Do you have the " im tired of losing " option ? if not i believe you get it somewhere around ASW

Ya I've tried that twice, but the GM basically just says deal with it lol
I need to pull a Howard and get him fired lol

Lol...wth? My teams were able to get the players I requested through "I'm tired of losing". I am guessing you have to keep your trade targets realistic.

You need to be a bigger part of the team to get him to let you ask for people

Lol...wth? My teams were able to get the players I requested through "I'm tired of losing". I am guessing you have to keep your trade targets realistic.

The only time i was able to request a trade was when i won a ring with OKC but on losing teams all i get is

" ask yourself what can you do to make the team better "when im already the best player on the team lol

I've tried it before with a 64 overall player, and the one I tried today was with a 78 overall player.

OK something really bizarre happened! I am on all star weekend and I play my first game as a rookie in the elites vs stars game and the weird thing is that Anthony Davis is on both teams! For some time they were facing each other!

Also after the game, my "twitter page" got blank. Is that something to be worried about?

In my experience it is part luck, part team needs and part draft/contract.

I've asked to go to Lakers and have been traded to everyone but the Lakers before... and with the same guy asked to be traded to the Heat and sent to the Lakers instead...

So I started really experimenting .. getting drafted really low (as in OKC's pick or the Celtic's) and all a sudden, I get successfully traded to the Lakers when I asked with no issues.

Trying to go to the Cavs or Magic is harder then it seems, because of the team needs and contract parts... with both of these teams, I'd suggest it is easier to manipulate getting drafted by them then engineering a trade.

With all that said, this is what I would do.

1: Play 4 games and make a back up save file. ( You have to do this prior to asking for a trade or the decision on where you are going is made already).

2: Save all of your VC/SP and drills. Do not improve your player... and if he has above 10 minutes, make the coach take minutes away from you.

3: It might be placebo, but I have gotten better results from asking to be traded, not demanding. It does not matter which slot you pick your desired team, but only pick the team you want.

4: Make sure you match up with the lower end of the bench of your desired team, minutes and skill-wise.

5: Play the 5th game and then go talk to the GM.

If it does not succeed, reload save and try again.

I tried 5-6 Rookie Showcase as a center to see what it's like and I really enjoyed it.
But I think I will rage big time on rebounding.
57% of the time, you don't have it (Beal, Lillard or Marshall took everything on my head) and 38%, your guy just tap on the ball and don't have the rebound.
Really frustrating
