They already got income from people buying VC, so that toothpaste isn't going back in the tube.

I always wondered about limits for online players. Like only 80 or 85 overall players. That way people have to decide which stats to spend VC on. Not sure but thought it would bring more variety; instead of a bunch of maxed out 99s.

Your post makes no sense whatsoever my friend. Every game released with an ounce of create a player, or role playing emphasis is all about the grind. How can you expect a user to be drafted as 70 overall myplayer and tell them that 2k thinks it would benefit you as a player to max your capabilities to an overall 80 or 85? Are you serious?
lets take a look at your theory as compared to real life progression.

Michael Jordan rookie year-92 overall(1984-85)
michael jordan 88'-89 season-99 overall (His career didn't pan out so well)

Kevin Durant rookie year-80 Overall(2007-2008)
Kevin Durant is now a 95 overal(2012-2013) back-to-back-to back 3x Scoring Champion.....Nice!

Russell Westbrook rookie year-77 overall(2008-2009)
Russell Westbrook now is a 90 Overall(2012-2013) It was actually higher last year

Lebron James Rookie year-78 overall(2003-2004)
Lebron James is now an 99 OVERALL(2012-2013) 3xMVP awards winner and NBA World Champion in the process.

Derrick Rose in his rookie year-80 overall(2009-2010)
Derrick Rose now is now an overall 92(2012-2013) Just to think, this guy actually is the youngest MVP in NBA history!

So as you can see, player progression is an inevitability. Whether its one season, 3 seasons, or 10 seasons. Players will eventually live up to their true potential. It should be showcased no different, and replicated no better than in NBA 2k. Why would you want to place a cap or restrict how high a player can get? So at best if you work hard for 3 or more NBA seasons your MyPlayer can be an 80 overall and if you add some shoes on, a cool 85 overall? Man, all i can say is I am glad you're not one of the brainchild's behind the development process over at 2ksports because your theory doesn't make sense at all.

The thing about variety is, not everyone thinks the same nor do they play the same style as you. Some people like scoring point guards, or athletic shooting guards, or all-around small forwards. On the other hand, you might come across a point guard who's more methodical and likes the slow paced game and makes himself a pass first point guard, or maybe a defensive power forward like Dennis Rodman. Regardless of what people choose, not everyone is the same, so there's tons of options out there for you to go against. I think you just need to open your eyes my friend.

Crew mode kept me interested in the game throughout the year....hell I played it til the day they shut down the servers! Honestly I hadn't bought an NBA 2k game in years before 2k11, I loved Crew mode though and would buy 2k14 in a heartbeat if it returns.

Keep in mind guys, games are supposed to be FUN. Feels like 2k has kind of lost their way the past few years because they have forgotten this. It's not fun in blacktop when guys are making 80% of their 3's. I'm not advocating hackers, but why punish the people that played the original Crew mode the right way?

Not only would I like the return of crew, but I would also love to see 2K make a connected careers sort of mode, like in Madden. So rather than playing with your friends on one team and play against other crews you could play in the same league and go head to head with each other when the teams you got drafted to play each other. It would be more successful in 2K than in Madden because if you create a defensive player in Madden you have to watch your team's offense rather than play, but in basketball you play both sides of the ball.

As a REAL sneakerhead, I can say I'm extremely excited for the shoes my my player will be wearing in blacktop games/crew games. Some people'll go way overboard with it, with all metal Jordan XI's and what not, I will keep it simple... but with the way the shoe creator works, hopefully by next year they fix things like the Jordan VI's and not being able to make Carmine's or Olympic's, etc. so outside of the mode completely, if they continue at the pace they are with the shoes;

Donte' Thomas of ™Leg!T will be über dope in his PE Jordan's haha.

It would be awesome if MyCareer was separated and never linked to Crew(substitute whatever name is) mode.

I like the ideas of having a different online MyPlayer that is used exclusively for Crew. Mixing the two and linking them in the beginning has caused issues for both those who prefer online play and those that prefer offline play.

Oh yeah smart guy? And where is exactly would this magical little myplayer come from if he wasn't the guy you've been working on for 3 seasons? So lemme get this straight. You work on your career for 2 or 3 seasons. You win 2 NBA titles, 2x MVP winner, all-star game MVP and you would like to 2k to come up with a different player besides the one you've been working so hard on?

Man, so whats the point of playing 3 seasons if you wont showcase your myplayer online?????
