Most MyCareer players have more then one guy; I'd say those who don't are a very small minority.... those that don't or can't develop their 2nd player by playing him can use vc to improve him - something you, yourself advocate.

See above - 2k already allows more then one player and if i am not mistaken I think they even allow you to play multple guys in Blacktop mode as well.. people don't need to dedicate their life to MyCareer to enjoy it... people who have lives and responsibilities can even use vc to enjoy it as well...

I've played more then 10 seasons with 12 minute quarters and have a PG, a SG, a C, a PF and a SF ... none of which I want to "show" online. I enjoy offline play much more then today's online play. To each their own. No hostilities.

IMO 2k is going to bring back crew mode for 2k14. I think they're going to keep it simple ie Team name, team colors, team roster and save team records. Which is cool but, I wouldn't mind them adding some of you guys ideas.

I am fine with the new VC system and I hope they keep it the same for 2k14. I'm burnt out on myplayer. If MyCrew returns with the same VC system I will not be wasting a min playing myplayer games.

Ain't Nobody Got Time for That

I understand where you're coming from. But at the same time, lets say you're working on 3 separate my players in your career.

1)athletic point guard....think in the vein of....

          2)An all-around Shooting guard....hmmm maybe like...

3)Last But not least, you figure you want to try your hand at big man, so your 3rd my player might be a contemporary Power forward who can crash the glass, but also be able to score as well....some what in the likeness of a...

If you enjoy playing crew, you now have 3 styles you can bring to your teammates. If your crew needs a point man...you got it covered. If your crew already has a Floor general, then you can be that go to wing man to spread the floor. If

you want to do the dirty work under the glass, and be the enforcer for your team, then going big is the option for you...

To (TAER)With all this said, these are options we have for a reason. I mean i get that not everyone has time to play 3 careers nonetheless, there are those like the guy above me who loves to work on his players and bring them online for crew. To me not showcasing what you've been working, is kind of like...

because only YOU know you have these talents....no one else...

Last but not least is the VC issue. I mean I'm glad that 2k finally has their own coin system ala EA Sports, but just because its been introduced as a way of keeping everything legit, doesn't mean we Shouldn't still work on our myplayers. The one thing i noticed the difference this season was when i worked on my career with a Myplayer and developed him.

Take for example a friend of mines has been working on his guy. Purchasing your my player with VC will not allow you to gain this.

No way should you be able to take your myplayer online for crew. I don't wanna be playing against all 99 players, when they got there not because they are actually good at the game, but because they just used VC to boost up their stats and dominated the moronic AI.

When you go online you should start at the bottom. Then we'll see if you're actually good at the game.

I don't like that people can purchase VC..........but if you put in the time and effort to build a good MyPlayer it would be fun to be able to use him in more than just the blacktop mode. That mode is kind of ****ty.

I didnt buy vc, lol yes my myplayer is 99 but thats because I earned vc by playing 250+ online rank matches, 100 blacktop & 1& half full seasons of myplayer. Its not like I went out day 1 & purchased vc,

I'm not sure why 2k doesn't just copy the EASHL model from the EA NHL series. You HAVE to separate a user's offline player and online crew player...this eliminates the cheating. plus, you do not want ALL 99 rated players online, that's not basketball and just silly. I want to play hoops, not enter an and-one competition.

Player types should have hard caps, and you get XP to spend based on your grades and how many games you play (online) -- so certain milestones are mapped out ahead of time just like NHL. this way players are rewarded for playing online and bad players are not punished and get a chance to learn and adapt, and the last XP you get will get your guy to maybe a 80-85 overall, so you can't just be an incredible shooter/dunker/defender/ballhander. you have to choose one area over another and make sacrifices. that way every player online is unique, with unique sets of skills. teammates will compliment each other, like real life....instead of a bunch of different sized 99's running around at top speed.

If they ever get this mode straight, it will be addictive as hell just like EASHL is for hockey fans...and EA makes a lot of money from that mode from impatient players buying unlocks etc...

then the final problem of course, will be finding anyone online that doesn't cheese and use exploits to score 100% of the time

Exactly. Blacktop right now is awful. Everyone I'm assuming is a 99 overall in every match except for me and my friend. No one plays team ball, they just shoot when they can and dunk all over people. We only find it entertaining because we get to take our players online and team up with each other. Other than that, almost every aspect of Blacktop is pointless. Even the servers are horrible as to where we can't even find a match, and when we do, guys are just cheesing left and right. If they could implement a matchmaking system where it matches you up with players that are essentially the same overall, this mode would be golden.

Blacktop is bad! & trying to get a matchmaking system that puts players up against others with same overall would makw the servers so much worse

I'm thinking / hoping Blacktop is a precursor to Crew.

Blacktop would be so much better if 1) they toned down the 2 ptrs hand in face 2) lowered the attribute caps across the board so that everyone isn't Micheal Jordan god-like superhero (when you factor in sig skills). There should be some realism to it even if it's my player. I think a player's ceiling should be Michael Jordan or Wilt Chamberlain aka GOAT-type of players.

One thing blacktop did accomplish is stopping them dam cheaters from taking over and ruining the mode. Also the servers aren't perfect, but compared to 2K11's Crew and Teamup servers -- 100x better.

Everybody complained about crew's bugs in 2K11, but it did not bother me/affect me much. I mainly got in lag free games (9 out of 10) and I enjoyed playing hackers because me and my boys did work on them. I still think crew could have tons more things implemented (For me one of them is creating your own plays, since I mainly role with 3 guys and we can set lots of screens but our CPUs are all over). Anyway, here's hoping they bring it to 2K14.
