I don't get how the live ball system applied to kicked balls, but not on dunks and passes that clearly should have hit a hand..was this done on purpose?

I really wish my bigs would stay on their feet instead of flopping everytime someone goes for a shot near the rim. It isn't 2k12 bad, but I can still get knocked over by a player starting a layup from behind the free throw line with little momentum and make the basket while I'm called for a blocking foul.

This is another example of 2K taking control from the player. It's almost guaranteed to happen at the beginning of each half. My question is, why? Why is a mandatory blocking foul scripted to play out, regardless of whether or not the user attempted to take a charge? It's the little things that make this game more frustrating than fun lately.

I'm too lazy to read all these replies and see if this has been addressed already; but let me just say that the fact that dunks are unblockable is THE biggest sign that 2k promotes cheese. Hell, even NBA hang time let u block dunks if u timed it right. The fact that you can't block dunks is one of the dumbest things I have seen in any sports game ever. If people knew that there's a chance you can get swatted if you go in to the paint then we would see far less Lebron turbo cheese drives IMMEDIATELY.

One thing i to add to whats been said is the fact that when your on a winning streak in mycareer. The game will sometimes make up in its mind that you've won enough games so it will make you lose a game to end your streak. It'll do things like have the coach pull you out at crucial times in the game, it'll give you a lineup of all deep bench players so you have to score all of your points until a better lineup gets put out. You get beat up on the boards even more so than usual, your team will miss wide open shots that they usually make, or do stupid things to screw up possesions and turn the ball over. while the opposing team will drain 3s no matter how much D you play on them, they'll get layups and putbacks no matter how good of defense is played on your part, or no matter how well you box out, etc.

Plus in playoff times(this may just be me since im on a crappy team) especially in the 2nd round and up, the game will make you do almost everything on offense and defense. I noticed this more so if your a guard, normally if your a big man, your team(or the cpu) won't make you do as much much offensively or even defensively. but on my pg account its a pain in the butt, because every playoffs i have to score most of our points. theres only a few games here and there where your team will play well enough to keep you from having to carry them. But most times in the post season, if your a guard(mainly a point guard) and your on a bad team, expect to have to do everything.

I didn't think it was that bad..

It wasn't end of the world bad, but blocking shots with your elbows and armpits was over the top.
