Just had my best game so far even though I scored 50 points last game haha I'm loving the defense in this game and just sending shots in general. I find it really easy to score with a center though, maybe if I bump up the difficulty one more time.

Upgraded my player's attributes quite a bit and is a lot more fun to play with now. last year i had a small forward who could shoot three pointers like crazy, but this time i find it so much fun to drive into the paint and score with sexy acrobatic moves as a shooting guard. wish i would've made him taller so i can dunk on people though lol.

Looked for a trade for a backup center and the Cavs bit with Varejo, who has turned into our starting PF. First game with him against the Hawks and I like our statlines:

Me (PG): 25 points, 7 rebounds, 15 assists, 1 steal, 3 blocks and 2 turnovers, 10 of 18 FG, 3-5 3PT and 2-3 FTs on 41 minutes
Varejao: 21 points, 9 rebounds and 1 steal and 9-10 FG on 33 minutes
Cousins: 18 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal and 7-15 FG on 30 minutes

6 players had double digits and it's easy to say that I like this team a lot more with all due respect to Carl Landy. Our full rotation of players that are active:

PG: Me (76 overall), Thomas, Vasguez, Fredette
SG: Thornton, McLemore
SF: Turkoglu, Travis Outlaw
PF: Varejao, Patterson, Thompson
C: Cousins

Vasquez wants a trade but I'm not sure if I want him gone, he and Thomas are good scoring punches off the bench. We're currently 10-14 but I'm hoping that trade will kick things up in a major way. I don't know about championship but making the playoffs period is my goal for the season. With a lot of cap space, one superstar in FA could take this team to the next level.

And in a game with the Heat I see and sustain my first injury, a sprained ankle after a missed layup.

I'm qith the Kings too. After we beat the Nuggets bei 23, we lost to Against the Clippers and the Warriors by 18 and 20. Salmons is one of the biggest problem in the team, he shoots every open look and hits nothing, same with Thornton who throws bricks from beyond the arc all game long. Only players I can count on are Maclemore, who comes off the bench, and Cousins eventhough he could do so much more but misses too much in the paint.

Can anyone tell me how the stats for simmed games are. For example in 2k13 I would play 3 straight games avg around 25 points 15 rebounds and when I play next key game, I will avg 8 points 5 rebounds for the simmed games. Do we still have this problem with simmed games ? I have close to a month of non-key games and I want to rush to the end of this season but afraid my stats are going to take a hit. Anyone who has simmed their games please let me know how your stats were effected.

From what I can tell, the problems are there. I suspect the problem is the tendencies sliders for simulation. I don't think those update to reflect the higher ratings you get as you progress. If you are an 88 rated player with good offense, you should be getting 22 points per game, but your tendencies still think you are a 63 rated rookie so the simulation just doesn't have you taking many shots.

That's one reason I was glad to get rid of Salmons. Turk is real streaky too but he can pass and rebound which really helps and he expires at the end of the season. Thornton is alright, I find success usually kicking it out to him when he's wide open or calling floppy 2 but he does miss quite often as well. The key is not letting him get the ball unless he's on a hot streak or you're in a desperate need of points to take the risk. I find Patterson is not nearly as aggressive as he should be either since he usually passes or stands there instead of attempting to shoot.

My bread and butter is the pick n roll with Varajao or Cousins. You can usually give it to one of them to finish or pass it out to the perimeter for a shot. I really wish there was more of a say in who's in the rotations because even with Outlaw injured Mbah a Moute isn't playing and we could really use his defense off the bench. McCallum and Chuck Hayes also aren't playing so I might try and go for one more trade but I'm not sure who to target with an already filled up team. I just know 5 point guards is a little too much.

... And as far as Love and Pek go, I've been injured the last 9 games and Pek has gotten 12+ rebs twice and Love 12+ rebounds once, even when I am not playing they don't rebound well. Our average rebound differential in games where I don't grab 7+ rebounds is -9 and when I do it's +3.

I only played 25 games on the Timberwolves before I erased my save file by accident. My impressions with these two is that their tendencies are all mucked up and will need to be revised.

The default Love seems to be caught between transitioning inside and outside on almost 90% of the plays being run and as a result Pek gets caught rotating and as a result gets tangled up way too much where he should never be.

On defense they are o.k. but there is a lack of supporting cooperation between the two bigs.

As Da_Czar said in his last video, their are some schemes more developed than others in the ai scripting and I think the defensive scripting still needs some development.

Rebounding: Ok, so I started making some big guys and giving them various skills and signature moves to see if I was missing something. I finally made a PF and gave him max rebounding, hands (as some suggested), hustle, vertical to go along with tenacious rebounder and bruiser. Now, I always could get the 13 rbs/game. Get double digits in RB is EASY...that has never been the issue. Getting the rb you think you should be getting...is much harder.

Well, with the mix I have above, my guy started to beat everyone to those close boards. I play for the Spurs and have completed my 4th game under SS difficulty. Rebounding average (understand I got stuck in a long time my second game) with 20 minutes per game.....is 15.5. Things can change of course but I am actually optimistic I might be able to average 20.

P.S. There is just something really satifying when you send a
Kobe shot attempt 20 rows into the stands.

When I first got the game, me and a buddy wanted to hop in and play a game right away, so I skipped the MyPlayer creation, picked a random face, and went with the name they gave me (Jeremy Miles?), but now I want to actually start a My Career. How do I scrap that guy and actually make the MyPlayer I want?

Rebounding Skills to Max Out:

1. Ball Security
2. Hands
3. Offensive Rebounding
4. On-ball Defense
5. Low-Post Defense
6. Defensive Rebounding
7. Speed
8. Quickness
9. Hustle
10. Vertical
11. Stamina
12. Strength
13. Offensive Awareness
14. Defensive Awareness

Rebounding Signature Skills:

1. Hustle Points
2. Scrapper
3. Tenacious Rebounding
4. Gatorade Performance Pack
5. Microwave

If there are any questions as to why I would max out something or why I would not, let me know.

At the main screen choose the "Edit MyPlayer" option and you should be able to remake your basketball god - and then "Start MyCareer" but I bet you knew that already.

I'm on the knicks as a pass first pg. I can tell you how to get there doing that playstyle but if you're using any other I don't think my stat combination will work.

What position/style are you trying?

Cool thanks man. I'll try it when I get home. I knew that option was there, but last year it wouldn't let me edit my player name. Hopefully this year it'll let me.
