Man im tired of having 20+ point games with 10+ assist. Plus a couple of steals and blocks but still taking a L to the chest. I got drafted to the hawks 17th overall. Im a all around PG. Im in the starting rotation. Don't get me wrong the team is good but don't matter how much points we score, once I get sub out we always trail by 10+. We manage to come back but then the AI start missing shots & it just goes down hill. We're 7-10..4th in our division.

so you don't have the issue with your teammates leaving opponents wide open on the perimeter ?

Yeah, I go through that too.There's alot of things the AI do that just leaves me puzzled. Just hope they patch this game soon.

Does My Player have randomized alternate jerseys? Basically, are there ever times where the jerseys are not default?

I have been playing a scoring SF since release and I have to say that the lameness of my teammates gameplay makes this game really a step back from 2K13. Drafted to the Thunder and Durant plays like a scrub. I got so frustrated that I asked to be traded. Ended up on the Heat, but now Lebron and Wade play like scrubs (duh). At least in 2K13 with my PG on the Thunder, Durant played like Durant.
Why is it that when a star player is on your team he immediately starts to play like a role player? For example, Lebron is leading the league in scoring at 28 pts/game. I join the heat via a trade and he now can barely get 10 pts/game on a good day. And this is with me making sure he gets the touches. Yet when I played against Lebron before the trade he played like an allstar. Another example, Durant played like a scrub as my teammate barely taking/making any shots. Yet when I leave the Thunder he is back to scoring 30 pts/game with an MVP caliber year. I just don’t get it.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>
I had such high expectations for this game but It seems that 2K14 my career is just Arcade basketball at its finest. I am on what is sposed to be one of the best teams in the League, but I have to take most of the shots and score most of the points for us to win. If I don't and rely upon my teammates, we loose. Maybe those fabulous OS Community roster makers can work some magic and adjust tendencies and whatever else to save this game. But as things are now, I am really disappointed.

Im glad you post this because I was starting to think that was my problem.That I wasn't on a good enough team. I was thinking awhile back to ask for a trade and see if I can go to the rockets and take Jeremy Lin spot.Then I started to ask myself If I go to a team with star players like Harden & Howard will it make a difference. Reading your post shows it wouldn't have since you say they don't play like their usual selves when you face them.My Career is a struggle bro.

It's weird that I see guys on here posting about how their teammates aren't playing like the stars they are...

I'm a pass first pg on the knicks playing on HOF/Sim 12 min qtrs

Jr Smith and Carmelo each are averaging in the high 20s for points for me. We've had multiple games where the 3 of us have had 30+ points each.

It's almost too easy playing with the knicks. Watching Melo takes over in the 4th is a thing of beauty . The dude almost never misses and just destroys the defense while me and Jr just wait for the outlet pass if he gets doubled.

Sorry the rest of you guys are struggling...maybe it's the level you're playing on?

I've played every difficulty on my career & my teammates majority of the time play dumb. Sometimes they play like they're supposed to but NBA 2K14 is made for realism & sim. Shots aren't ALWAYS going to splash, defenses aren't going to be like the Wall of China & teammates aren't going to have the greatest awareness EVER. Of course, this all WILL occur for the CPU we play against. I mean I bet the Kings will be a lot better if I wasn't playing for them. I saw teams like the Wiz go undefeated for awhile & beating elite teams which is completely ridiculous. Anyway, looks like CPU cheese will always be there & our CPU a.i. won't even compete the best way we expect them to be. A patch must cometh.

Same thing happened to me, though on a good day Durant gets 20pts. He gets most of his points in the 4th quarter though, when his Closer activates and the CPU finally gets him the ball. Seems like a star PG will still play like his normal self, since Westbrook is averaging about the same stats he averaged IRL last year (though his assists are down). If you are the PG maybe you should try to run more plays for Durant.

How is your team chemistry?

In my last game (vs Kings) Lebron had 32 points, 13 Rebounds, 4 assists and even a block.

Now granted he does not have a great game every game (ie the one before this he only had 13 points) but since getting a team chemistry above 80, he has been above 25 points a game in 3 out of 4 played.

This is on HoF/Sim settings, default rosters.
