You know there's something wrong when your more willing to give up a layup, than a three point shot. One big problem with this game is that there is no live by the jumper die by the jumper philosophy. Then when you take away the jump shot that they hit at a rediculous clip, they just pound the paint, and your team let's them do it. And you have to just watch and shake your head as you witness 2k at its finest. CPU gets away with every cheesy move while your team can't and won't do anything about. I got so fed up, with is game against Minnesota that I called up my friend and told him to come get his game back, because I'm through.

This is why I am worried that even if I get the option to guard the perimeter shooters it won't matter because the game is 'scripted' to bring the other team back from a 12 pt deficient. As for driving the paint at least my PF will be able to get in the way/get some blocks. Right now I have to watch Brown (on the Suns) be given no less than 10 ft when he is on the 3 pt line. Even when he shoots the AI is slow to react. They have perfect releases and if there is no D... I just watch Brown...70 3pt shot....go 4-4 in the first half. Why can't I have 10' of room?

I played a key game against the Pacers where, after the x2, I was supposed to get 934, but I only ended up getting around 650. It's making me mad considering it's happened three times. I've already considered sending it back to Gamestop if it doesn't even start getting fun, but I don't want to. Help or advice on this supposed "bug" would be nice. Thanks OS.
Yes, I have noticed this too. Then I play another game afterwards, and it rewards me with more VC/SP than it was stated. I'm not sure how the game is adding the points.

My Bulls are 6-0. I scored my high so far with 29 points along with 10 boards. I'm an Athletic Center. Seems pretty hard to get rebounds but I've not started yet.

Had to do it ALL OVER. So now I'm a pg for the wiz (drafted #3) & I got Wall playing the 2 guard which is so awesome. He likes Iverson except his jumper needs some work but anyway this is a good look for the wiz. We're currently 5-1 & I'm still working on Wall being a shooter than a passer. Oh & I'm like Curry-esque but I only want to shoot when I have to, so I have to be more of a passer than a shooter. Hopefully we're going to the playoffs this year.

              Dennis Schroder is a tease.

The first game we have with him running it at the point is amazing. He was a willing passer who came off of my screens, read the defense, and either pulled up for the jumper or passed to the open man. He shot 10 of 18 from the field, but two possessions were late in the shot-clock pass back threes he was forced into.

He finished with 27 points, 13 assists, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal. He's pretty much automatic at the line shooting 91%. He's a much better defender than Trey Burke was - I was always sagging off my man for help defense situations because Burke would get crossed. Schroder isn't a great 3 point shooter, and other than the open court, he's average around the basket. But, if I screen properly, he can hit those mid-range jumpers with ease.

The second game? He started off horrible. 1 for 8 I think it was. He redeemed himself a bit with slowing down and coming off my screens to either finish at the rack or pull up for the J. He has been a pretty nice passer through both games, getting people involved well in the offense. It's going to take awhile before I can properly judge the trade (at least 38 more games) to have an even sample size.

So, we'll see how he really turns out.

Playing my last game before my friend comes to pick up the game. I'm kinda irritated with how Durant does nothing. The dude literally averages like 12pts a game. And Westbrook just drives and kicks, or pulls up for bricks that miss. Playing Miami is a pain because we keep losing to them. We played them twice, and the game made us lose to them because I guess it figured that okc doesn't beat Miami in real life, why should they in game. The problem is, when I'm in the game were up, then I get benched and have to help erase another 12 pt deficit before I get benched and have to do it again. This happened the first time we faced and its happening now. Anyone who tells me this game ain't scripted is lying. Also why does Miami pound the offensive glass on us when there supposed to be ranked dead last in that category. Oh wait, every team beats you up on the offensive glass.smh

Just finished up my 2nd year with Andrew Wiggins, 6'8" SF on the Kings. We had an epic collapse at the end of the season and finished with the 6 seed and had to face the Thunder in the 1st round. They absolutely demolished us in an easy sweep. I expected as much since the GM refused to get rid of Jimmer as our starting PG. Anyway, the Pacers won the title and we advanced to the off-season where the GM asked me for 5 guys to pick to add to the team, as usual. Well, I'm looking through the list of players and to my surprise, I'm there. Yes, I could select Andrew Wiggins, ME, to go after in FA. Apparently the game lists players with options left on their contracts in the pool of FAs. BMac was on there as well. I move past that awful issue and try my hardest to pick 4 PGs to go after.

Of course, the GM ignores me and gets nobody I asked for. Well, he either ignores me or the 5 guys I selected aren't available due to options. Anyway, they signed Omer Asik, Chandler Parsons and Marcus Thronton, my arch enemy. I don't mind the Asik and Parsons acquisitions, but I feared Thornton would once again be the starting SG over BMac.

So the season starts and I rush to see the rotation..... BMac AND Ray McCallum are both starting! Hooray! And no Jimmer to be found! Double Hooray! However, now we're tragically thin at PG, with only McCallum and two draft picks on the roster. Oh well.

I have yet to be able to get the GM to trade for anyone yet this MyCareer and we're off to a 10-3 start in season 3, so I guess I'll have to wait to get any immediate help.

Has anyone had luck with the post game. I started a scoring 6'9 SF. Maxed out close shot (92), mid range 90 (to 96 with arm sleeves), low post (85), fade away (95) and hook (95). Got the post skill (level 3) and consistency is 90. This guy should be one of the best post up specialist in the league.

My shooting is hit and miss and I range from games with 40 to 50 % shooting or, more often, as low as 10 to 20%. I use the post fakes to create space prior to the shot, but still miss. The only shot that works well for me is the fake fadeaway and spin to the basket. The game wants me to time my post shots, which I find very difficult even with practise. The blocked and airballed fadeaways are hilarious. If I happen to get rolling, the double team comes and knocks me out of the post so quickly, i can't react to it. Oh and the PG/SG will come by and steal the ball for an easy turn over.

What worked so well in previous 2K games, just does not work in 2K14. Oh well just more disappointment with this game from me.

Got drafted at #7 for the Sacramento Kings as a scoring PG. Really happy about it because I like their unis and arena, plus it would be fun to try to get them back to their early 2000's success with Boogie.

I'm very good in the post with my 7' Center. I admit it is much much harder to score from the post this year. As per the fast double teams, when you get it in the post you have to shoot almost as soon as you catch it. Go straight in your moves(hook, up & under, fade, etc.) Lastly, due to 2K making it much harder to convert on our post moves this year, my only advice on that it repetition during games( preferably in scrimmage). I just kept playing scrimmages with my team until I got more and more secure with my timing on my post moves. Also, I tell them to pass me the ball during scrimmage, so everytime down court I'm getting the ball to do a post move.

                        Good luck.

I apologize if this has been answered...

Is there still the problem where one of the difficulty settings is impossible to win, unless you YOURSELF drop atleast 40-50 points?

I hope not. You could just about never win. I think it was on All-Star, but then on the next difficulty lower, it was way too easy to win.

Hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about.

                          Thanks in advance.

I've had pretty good success in the Post, but it isn't my main scoring option. My go to move is a spin baseline for a rack attack when the defender is aggressive on my back-down. If the double team hasn't arrived yet, and I have a little bit of space to move, I'll go to either the fade-away on the right block, or a strong jab step, then attack their pivot foot for a layup at the rim. I rarely do an up and under - they just don't seem to work for me.

My low post offense is around 86 and my post fade away is 88 with level 1 Post Proficiency. I utilize the hook on smaller defenders and if I catch the ball with deep position I do a drop step which either nets me a dunk, layup, or and 1.

Other than scoring from the post, most of my assists come from drawing the double team, or waiting for someone to cut to the basket for a pass.

The most effective shot for me is the fade away though. I probably average about 60% on that shot.

                            I'm a 6'9 Athletic PF.

Has Issues on and off the court. Can't stay on team more than one year.

Got bust label on him already.

He no his issues are limiting his chances so he might get another chance as GM'S around League Like his Game but hate his on and off court baggage.

It don't help He is from Another country out East.

Hopefully he get another shot in off season year 4 where he can pick team of choice and ride out contract for good or bad.

Still don't know who he go mold his O game after since he sincerly lacking any scoring moves besides cutting or baskets right under rim.

Still has few more physical tools to develop. speed/quickness/strength. We go see what he had to his O game during OFF season.
