Re: Neon1 v1.8 Rosters (360)....cracking the code on shot selection.
If the CPU gets 52 it high but within the usual deviation of averages (average is from 36-42). Anything within 10 (higher or lower) is not a big deal unless 52 is the average.
Fouls arent high its just that your particular playing style is that you drive into the paint A LOT, so natuarally you would get a higher amount of points in the paint and free throws because you force it inside way more than the a.i. does.
Basically bro..dont worry about your own numbers, you control that, and how you enjoy to play is how you enjoy to play, dont ruin the fun for yourself worrying about your OWN numbers. Dont be scared to shoot some jumpers though if thats the reason for the excessive driving, they can shoot. Infact, in most cases its not even that much higher of a success rate driving vs taking open jumpers with these edits.
Just play, Enjoy. If the CPU starts doing crazy stuff then you worry.Last edited by Neon1; 01-21-2009, 02:09 AM.Comment

Re: Neon1 v1.8 Rosters (360)....cracking the code on shot selection.
PACERS NOTES:
For those that didnt know, Pacers are high tempo. They average 105ppg so put your skates on. Scores may vary from +/- 10, Anwhere from 95 to 115 on average.
Pacers play a unique defense called the Packline Defense. Eventually i will try to replicate it thru the coach profiles but dont hold your breath on accomplishing it.
Try to let T.J. Ford fall in love with his midrange, its not hard and hes not all that good at it.
Keep Murphy and Foster off the Off boards. BTW Murphy can shoot.
Hibbert looks and succeeds with his offense a lot, so dont make the common mistake of assuming hes a stiff. Hes huge and strong under the hoop. If he gets on a roll, and depending how good or bad your low post defenders are, you might even have to doulbe for the short mins he gets in.
Granger is probably going to put up a bunch of shots. I simmed a season quickly and he averaged 26ppg. Shoots from all over pretty much. Takes a lot of threes, and he can hit them at a good clip so dont get lazy.
Dont let Daniels get inside on you, sag off.
Rasho AND Hibbert have surprisigly decent 15 footers. Id still give it too em though.Last edited by Neon1; 01-21-2009, 07:11 AM.Comment

Re: Neon1 v1.8 Rosters (360)....cracking the code on shot selection.
Neon, I bet you have learned a LOT about all of the players you have edited up to this point. Studying all the numbers/stats you are studying, you will know a far amount about every player in the NBA. You, in essence, are increasing your overall NBA knowledge along with helping out a community and making the game a more enjoyable game to play.
Concern, although not a huge deal. It seems a lot of players that dunk the ball all the time in real life will lay it up with your rosters when they have wide open lanes. I'm not worried about in traffic, only a few players that can "posterize" anyways, but with a wide open lane, the majority of players will at least do a simple dunk.
Great job so far. GO WIZARDS.My Teams : San Francisco 49ers, Washington Wizards, Chicago Cubs, Texas Longhorns.Comment

Is this something that can be edited without ruining the integrity or your profiles Neon? because these rosters are awesome."Your character is who you really are, your reputation is what you're perceived to be by others" - John Wooden(former UCLA head coach)Comment

Re: Neon1 v1.8 Rosters (360)....cracking the code on shot selection.
^This is exactly why I'm posting my concern as well, because I knew others were thinking about it. I also didn't want to change the "dunk tendency" in fear of it messing with the fluidity of the gameplay. My Teams : San Francisco 49ers, Washington Wizards, Chicago Cubs, Texas Longhorns.Comment

Re: Neon1 v1.8 Rosters (360)....cracking the code on shot selection.
Amare would go from a 53 drive and 30 dunk, to
53 drive 83 dunk.
It was like that originally, but i changed it during early testing with the shot tendencies and nobody never said anything about it, so i just left it. Dwight's is normal already i believe and his FGA's dont seem to be out of whack so...
I was always debating whether or not it should be added back together but since nobody said anything i never did.
Ill edit them back now and upload the file in a couple.Comment
