Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Are you sure everywhere in a roster file that has B0, it stands for a created player? If not how do you recognize for sure if a B0 value starts a created player or it means something else?Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
No, wrong you are.
The amount of spots is limited.
So, as a result, if you try to create more CAPs after 200 CAPs are already created and changed to regular players, you will get one of the following:
1. The game will crash
2. The game will simply refuse to create more CAPs at some point (less, than 200)
3. The game will overwrite some other (exisitng) players...
Btw, i'm also pretty sure, changing B0 to 19 does also effect some other parameters, than just Player Type.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
naaaaaaaaaaah not all BO just the one I posted above...turn hex editor to 32 so you see the same as in the picture...than its the value above the FF + 1, just this one, change it to 19 an it's doneComment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Don't worry, mate. Just wait for REDitor to be released.
changing Player Type is already there.
And yes, practice more with Hex. Maybe in a couple of month you'll be able to help me with finding some other stuff.
I wasn't much experienced in Hex-editing either, when i started making the tool 2 years ago.
PS: It potentially affects player's birth date.Last edited by VladZolaJr; 06-19-2011, 09:43 AM.Comment

I have really big plans with my roster...but I'm sure it's worth waiting for the editor!
yeah I really like the hex to be honest...great what can be changed with it...Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
The program is quite ready for the release (only several minor things are left to be done).
But, unfortunately, there is a plenty of not-yet-made documentation, which has to be done before the release.
You know, the new version will support MLB for PC and introduce new interfaces in addition to basic support for 360 NBA files.
As i'm leaving for Europe on 25th for 2 weeks, the new release is probably delayed until 10-15, July...
Btw, do you know of a cheap train/bus from Western Germany (Koln, Bonn, Dortmund or Frankfurt) to Marseille, France?
Would really appreciate the help.
PS: Yes, Hex-editing is somewhat funny, at least when you don't need to find 100 fields in a couple of days )))
Anyway, when i first made a 4-meters manager or pink headbands for Lakers, it was really an awesome feeling.Comment

Ok I looked up "Deutsche Bahn" but there is no price shown for Köln-Marsaille, only thing that I've seen was Köln-Paris, cheapest 55 Euro...
Man I would love to get my hands on the editor, but if documentation has to be done...it has to beno chance of an early release?
just kidding
ok july 10th-15th would be great...long time, counting the daysComment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Excited about the upcoming pics of your newest findings hokup! My fingers are crossed that they might include extra coaches (pat riley perhaps) and maybe a classic arena or two (perhaps the nets old gym and a key arena to go with that old sonics logo you found awhile back) Its wishful thinking here but whatever your findings maybe can't wait to know what they are!

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
alright KG and vlad, thanks for the info. i only need like 5 or 10 caps more atm for my 98 roster so i will give it a try and see what results i get. im fine with losing current players as long as they arent ones im using so hopefully nothing too strange happens.Comment
