Re: Dribble Move & Finish Move tendency update
That passing accuracy slider is a tricky one. Drop it one point and see that out of bounds pass happen any time the receiver is pressured but if u leave it at 50 and u rarely see a bad(unforced turnover) pass.'Only The Strong Survive'Comment

Re: Dribble Move & Finish Move tendency update
A few things I am seeing in the set so far:
-Too many USER FT's (this is mainly due to different playstyles, but there is def. too many throughout) (and I have been working on this already)
-Not enough CPU FT's (probably due to them not attacking as much as I had them earlier on, when they were attacking too much, lol)
-CPU 3pt's, not shooting quite enough (could be due to DC redoing all of the 3pt plays, as we were seeing too many 3pt attempts, again lol)
-the occasional "out of bounds" passes... its either we go with 49 pass acc for User and CPU and see the "occasional" one happen or 50 and not see any. I think I will leave that up to the individual.
Jdoug, please let me know what you did... so I can compare and test out.
I took the advice of one of the previous posters, and changed Driving Contact and Inside Contact to 25.
I changed Dunking ability to 39. This combined with 40 for attempt dunks provides the most realistic dunking I've seen so far. In the NBA, combined there are only about 4 or 4 dunks only. With 39 for dunking ability and 40 for attempt dunks, I saw Melo do a double pump reverse, and I had Lebron soar on me. Amare, Wade, etc still all had their dunks, but only when appropiate. I think this setting is perfect.
I saw too many fouls for both teams, so I lowered commit foul tendency to 74. Thats all the changes I made.
Layup success- 53
Contact shot Success- 24
Driving/Inside Contact- 25
Dunking ability- 39
Commit fouls- 74
Other shooting slider adjustments (User and Cpu were shooting too high for me, lowered it down a little.)Comment

Re: Dribble Move & Finish Move tendency update
But here is what I had changed on Friday on my testing set:
Layups 52
Commit Fouls 68
Shooting Fouls 70
Contact Success 25
Both Contact Freqs 74
Reason I have not touched Dunk Ability is that DC has already gone through and edited all of the dunk ratings. (FYI if you want to stop the small guards (Collison, etc...) that can dunk in real life from dunking in these rosters all you have to do is lower Dunk Ability to 45.) Another FYI Jdoug, with it at 39 you will be cutting anyone that has a 45 for dunk rating in the game out of their ability to dunk at all. Which you may prefer and many other may as well. Another FYI any player with a Dunk rating lower than 45 will not be able to dunk at all. (I may be wrong on that, I am trying to double check with DC on that, I have an email somewhere with what the rating cutoff is and I believe its 44)
I will definitely give the 39 dunk rating and 40 tendency a try though.Comment

Re: Dribble Move & Finish Move tendency update
I bet most of you guys put the shooting foul slider above 60. Anything 60+ and you will shoot too many free throws. I once shot 30+ free throws with AI when I had that slider at 60. Since then I put it back down to 55 and I shoot the right amount of free throws, but there will be a good bit of no calls.
Then again we all have different playing styles because I have a team that loves to attack which I do a lot and I play on HOF.Last edited by Crossover1; 05-01-2011, 02:40 PM.'Only The Strong Survive'Comment

Re: Dribble Move & Finish Move tendency update
Gameplay update on PS3 currently using end of season default rosters edited w/DC Dunk Edits,Touches and Playbooks, adjusted all rotations according to DC.AsianPowwwa Ht and Wt adjustments.Geebo's Signature shots,Contract edits, Rashidi Shot tendencies my own potential formula sneakers and Sliders.Last but not least have just added the Chia51 Finish and dribble tendencies and have to say I have found NBA2k11 bliss. The finish and dribble tendencies "as is" at the beginning of the thread is Marvelous ,because like Chia51 said it's not perfect and that unpredictable gives the game an honest feel. Thanks to Chia51...Thank you
Try it for yourself. Create a team, change the height and/or weight of certain players and compare them in game with the original models from their original teams. I think it's permanent too. No way of undoing it.Comment

Just to give you an idea, Joel Anthony had a draw foul rating of 99 and a commit foul of 99. Most bigs on the default 2k rosters had 99/99 ratings.
Yes if you go back through the thread you will find a post with what all that has been done. The overalls are much lower and this is mainly because 2k has everyone sooooo overrated on defense its unbelievable. If I recall correctly the highest rated person is Lebron with a 93 or a 92. Kobe is a 92. Dwight is a 91. Just to give you an overall picture of how guys are rated overall. I personally could care less about overalls but I know some guys care.
Should be done with the roster on Tuesday.Comment
