Ronyell, in exhibition quick play games, some created players can not be released from their teams. I tried releasing a created CAP to the FA list but I don't even get the option to.

role swap trick as Jdoug stated below. go in to edit players role manually to star & then go to team management & edit role to benchwarmer & you will automatically see their moral decline. may need to do so multiple times
Actually, if you could post your current association file, that would be much appreciated, and may save you the hassle.
Probably did the contract switcharoo. Take a player that is angry irl, but happy on the game, and lower his role to that of benchwarmer, then going into edit profile and putting his role back to his correct role. He'll retain the anger, but his minutes will stay the same. Can be used the opposite way as well to make a player who is happy with his role irl, but angry at it in the game to behave.

With the overseas players you guys have on the roster, when I release players to make room for them and then sign the overseas player there becomes a duplicate. For example Sergio Llull with the Rockets, if I sign him then he is going to take up two spots on my team thus only allowing me to sign 14 players since Llull takes up two spots. This really sucks.

well aware of this issue. i will admit that i am the main reason for these players being onthe roster. partly out of oersonal preference... partly because you WILL see many of them in the league NEXT year & because the main purpose of this roster is normally geared towards association longevity; i ,made that call.
that being said; there was only one way to get them on a roster using Leftos' tool prior to re-editor. if they have the NBA logo behind them, they are not TECHNICALLY on that team but will take up a roster spot (in some cases making a team over the max) this served as them "retatining that players right IMO. those player are signable or will be atomatically released/deleted once in year 2. for a few of the others like Mirotic, there will be no issue.
i acknowledge the issue that this may cause for users wanting to make transactions in year 1 though... but this issue cannot be corrected until re-editor is released or if we remove those players all together which i would not like to do.
the other solution would be to put them in FA which is an option in an update.
but as many have stated & i want to re-iterate; if you SIGN them in year 1 or release them... they will duplicate. MY APOLOGIES FOLKS. I TAKE FAULT FOR THAT... just thought some would appreciate
sliders coming MUCH later tonight once i get home & can re-document

what i meant was that both the association file i downloaded from 2k and offline do not seem to work for me...it says that they are unreadable...i am however playing the association save game that starts on the 21st december ...Comment

as it has been stated MANY times. 2kshare has blocked our roster and all other rosters that contain hex edits from being readable after being downloaded.Comment

I get that.... The reason I tried on 2k share is that on the first page you state that you can get your roster's on 2k share... And the only reason I tried 2k share in the first place was because I got unreadable message for the offline roster's

I've spent some time running games in coaching mode and noticed that the CPU calls only a small number of different plays no matter how many alternatives there are.
For example, using the Mavs with only PnR man/ballhandler assigned to every player, the AI runs "2 side" and "Horns Side Roll" for most of the possessions even though there are various different plays available. PNP-3pt plays are never called at all.
There are combinations of plays assigned that break playcalling completely. After removing PnR option plays from the Mavs playbook (including the aforementioned "2 side"), the AI starts freelancing most of the time instead of calling one of the dozen other PnRs available. It seems like most plays are not even recognized by the CPU.
Basically, the game decides to run the "best" play by some apparently broken logic. You can prove this by using "run best play" in coaching mode.
So in my test with the Mavs the best play according to the game was "2 Side" on almost every possession.
After removing this play, the "best play" button is broken and the CPU does not call any play.
If you have more play types assigned to players you won't notice it as much since there's at least some variety, but the majority of plays gets never called at all.
Clearly, the touches tendency is not the main factor in determining plays called. I mean with PnR-man assigned to everyone you'd assume the game would call these plays for every player. Doesn't happen. So what's the actual point of editing the touches tendency when the whole system breaks if you strip the playcalling even down to only 2 play types?
So using Vann's playbooks results in 50 non broken plays the AI almost never uses at all.
Now I play 2k13 on PC only so maybe some console gamers could chime in, maybe it's different after the patch.
I can't test this myself on a console, basically setting a team's plays to PnR only should show that the AI calls maybe 3-4 different plays max and ignores all the other ones. At least that's what happens on PC.
